You're literally the BEST art teacher! I paid for a lot of art tutorials but I still feel I learned the most important things from you. I am hyped whenever you upload. Love u! :)
so true
Have you paid for any of his art tutorials in that case?
A much easier way to set the 3D cursor in your workflow is to hold the shift key and then right click where you want your cursor to be in your current view. It will backwards project the 3D position onto the correct surface/object.
Good tip, thanks!
Marco, you’ve always made the most sense to me in arriving at correct color relationships and values; thank you sir!
I love how you integrate basic art theory with a blender tutorial! This is so helpful, thank you so much for your content!
I am not even digital artist , I'm fine artist student who does ibis paint x once in a while , but your videos help me everywhere. Recently my teacher appreciated me saying how drastically I've improved. All I did was to watch your videos and apply that knowledge while practicing.
I’ve been so excited for this video since Part One came out! Can’t wait for Part 3!
Grease Pencil is the best! Texture brushes give so much creative control in so many ways!
You can also mix modifiers and effects to get some interesting looks / animations to your strokes with just few clicks :)
Great tutorial man!
Your tutorials are great - thanks for your contributions to the community also!
@@marcobucci Thanks man! I highly appreciate it 🥰 This community is the best!
Almost everything i know about color i know because of your videos, very grateful for these amazing videos. Also love that you demonstrate, using the pattern of how colors work in reality to stylizing the color choices and keeping the believibility that comes with that pattern
Great video! Here's a tip: You can just set the 3d-cursor with shift+right-click. It will set it on the surface of whatever you click. The way you do it is a great way to get the cursor into a very precise location, but for this kind of thing I think shift+right-click will be good enough and save a lot of time. Again, thanks for the vid!
Thanks for the tip! Time saver indeed!
I love Blender and have been on the fence of getting into the grease pencil tool for some time now. Will jump into it thanks to your, as always inspiring tutorials! :)
I've bought so many of your classes, you're seriously one of my top 3 teachers and one of the largest influences on my art.
Who is the other?
I've watched many of your videos on color theory along with even buying your courses. Yet each time a new video is made I still learn something from you.
I swear my eyes have tears now 😭😭😍
I was looking for a program that can make my 3d drawings have a touch of 2d texture 😭😭😭😍 I love you 💕
Blender is the new best friend of every 2D artist. Thanks a lot Marco for this great showcase of how to utilize it :)
Thank you Marco Bucci, I don't know how I can survive color theory without your videos. It's easy to grasp and how you play with the color adjustment makes me awe
The way you explain color theory in your videos makes those concepts so much less daunting to try to learn; always appreciate your videos!
Best Blender paint tutorial out there. Honestly, I wish ANY of my teachers in school were this good.

If you liked that little color lesson, consider my ~4-hour 'COLOR SURVIVAL GUIDE' video class! It's got pretty much everything you want to know about using color:

ALSO - 3:15 I totally reversed the sunlight direction there! Chalk that up to me cramming way too much filming into one day. D'oh! (The color lesson, though, still holds up.)
Happy creating!
no. thanks for making this
I know this sounds like a paid testimony but I promise it's not! :) I highly recommend the color survival guide. I've paid for a lot of color courses that only left me slightly less intimidated when applying to my own artwork. However this was the first course that allowed me to build confidence and most importantly have fun! Thank you Marco Bucci for all that you do.
0:29 so you empty that cork bowl every January, right? Love the tips about movement through the colour wheel!
@@bonzairob hahaha. What you don't see are all the other cork-carrying receptacles I've got around the house! It's kinda become a theme over here.
Honestly, I have learned a LOT about grease pencil with this and when you added the custom brushes and especially the atmosphere, my jaw dropped.
It is 3:30am currently so I will have to try this out later but I am excited to explore things I never thought possible.
That is C tier content. The audio quality is best out of art UA-camrs
I've been wanting to learn Blender for a long time but it seems so complicated to learn-- but seeing as how they've implemented 2D into this with the Greaser pencil, there's no way I'm not learning Blender now. This is exciting! Would love to see more of these!
It's so fun, and I'm trying my best to keep everything in this tutorial series beginner-friendly! (After all, I consider myself a relative beginner at Blender, too!)
This video includes one of the best (and most practical) approaches to color I've ever seen. Outstanding job! The entire series here is spectacular. Keep up the great work!
It's looking really great Marco ! Looking forward for part 3, keep up the good work !
I'm so excited to try all of this. Literally no tutorial has taught me this much about Blender in one sitting as this tutorial series has.
I have to watch this video like 2 more times. So much knowledge to digest. I'm more of a 3d artist that has really tried to dive into 2d and get good a painting in hopes to improve my 3d workflow. I really love what you are doing with this. It's right up my alley.
Your channel is one of the best thing I ever encounter on my art path. You are one of a kind. I'm sure that this series will fuel so many great artwork. Forever be your fan.💙
WHAT DID I JUST WATCH! I've been doing art all my life, but never have I ever seen such a good video on colour theory like this!!! THANK YOU!!!
This is probably the best tutorial I've ever watched! Thank you very much Marco for sharing this!! You are a great teacher.
Damn, this guy is good at art! Your videos are always a gold mine of art wisdom.
Another absolutely game-changing tutorial! Thank you, Marco.
This has been so insightful! I've absolutely devoured the information. Thank you so much!
Well, I'm more like coming from Blender / 3D. I began there, because I didn't wanna think about perspective, colors, light and stuff (it's generated for you when rendering). But with this series, you are opening the world a little bit for me for 2D. I really love the connection between them.
I always liked these 2D shows on TV, when they have some 3D elements (camera movement). Family Guy does this pretty often these days, but also Gravity Falls.
You always blow my mind every time you upload a tutorial mister Bucci. Thank you
I've been waiting for you for ages! And always with amazing content.
I'm living this series
I've been waiting for this new part for a while now, thank you Marco for the effort that you are putting into these videos. I really want to keep pushing this workflow further to it's limits, it's way too much fun once you get the hang of Blender!
Agreed! Hopefully this series shows my fellow 2D artists that Blender doesn’t have to be super complicated :)
Pls ur like an art teacher. N the way u explain it makes it sound soooooooo simple!
I learn so much from this series, cannot wait for part3 ❤❤❤
This is extremelly helpful! I've started to turn my illustrations into 3d ones and recently learned a bit of the grease pencil, thanks a lot!💖💖
Amazing video, thank you for these lessons, keep them up !
Yiippeeee! A new video from Marco 🙂This is a good day after all.
Incredible - as always!
Just wow, best guide I seen in a long time so far my fav art video
You made this tool finally speak to my mostly 2d mind TY
Love your color theory lesson!
Great stuff very helpful! Looking forward to part 3!
Omg I've been struggling with trying to find out how to make a character colors fit in a scene! THANK YOU Marco! 💙
your videos are all so cool and helpful! I never understood how to actually use colors in works until I started watching your videos
super dope! loved to use blender :)
you're such a good teacher and it's amazing how this is free on youtube!

Really great tutorial video! Thanks Marco. By the way, the grease pencil texture brush pack also can be imported from built-in menu. Go to Edit> Preferences> Add-ons. Find and tick "Grease Pencil Tool". Go to Draw Mode> Active tools and workspace settings tab> Brushes. Click downward arrow and choose download and import texture brush pack.

Thumbs up! Your tutorial are excellent! Thank you so much for your efforts!
*Great tips, thank you for the tutorials :D .But really, a giant ball in the middle of a stadium is so out of context and hilarious though lmao 🤣🤣*
Wow, this is incredible
You are very good at teaching. You are helping so many of us out here that are starting out. You are appreciated. Also, your art is amazing. I wish you would put out more content. Also, I’m wondering if you have any classes that are paid. I’d pay for some in depth lessons and projects that go along with them from you. Once again, you are appreciated. Thank you.
You're the best.. Learning a lot from you
This is really, really good dude. I've been using blender for years and didn't know quite a few of these tricks.
this is very cool. thank you so much
so helpful, you are a grate art teacher.
Marco sir you are the man!
Marco you r brilliant feeling lucky to have access to such a great artist
This is such a COOL video for art. Ngl Im actually learning a lot
I think the most valuable part I learned was the color theory part of how colors work in nature!
wow inspiring and such a great teacher thank you thank you thank you
Wow your content is really useful and good I appreciate it 😊
Great video! One of these days I'm going to have to give this a try.
Is amazing how we learn and its always something new about colors. Great video
i did download blender a while ago. its like having a christmas present sitting around that i havent gotten to open yet! its amazing what sort of stuff is possible with digital tools today..
MY MIND IS BLOWN. I FEEL LIKE IM OPENNING ME EYES FOR THE FIRST TIME
incredible !! you are the best ! we want part 3 !!!
Hot damn, for a bloody long while I've been fighting with getting to grips with just getting somewhat DECENT at working with colour just fiddling and referencing, but I think this just smashed a mental block to finally grab that horse by the reins.
Awesome work, thank you for doing what you do! Got some homework to do, and more of your vids to watch!
🤯🤯🤯 So many awesome things about color thanks!
Side note: as sculptor never felt right the division between 2d-3d disciplines though is neccessary for geometric use and understanding, 2d is a pure abstract idea while 3d is like behind the nature of any production, as very well you explain with colour & light. Cheers
You are a legend. Each video is like reading an entire book on theory. Thank you, man
Nice tutorial!
This is so inspiring.
Blown away. 🤯
Really awesome❤
Amazing and very dense lesson.
It will take time to digest, but thanks for showing us the incredible and nearly limitless possibilities of Blender. I'm completely new to it, and my goal this year is to become familiar with most of the features you've shown here and in the previous lesson.
This is awesome and exciting!
Thanks, and have fun!
Instant subscribe from me!!!! I'm (very very very very very very slowly) making a short film in Blender and this looks like a fantastic way to make the backgrounds!!!! I've learned so much simply from watching this, especially about colors! I'm definitely going to consult your videos in the future for my sets/backgrounds!!! 😍😍😍😍
Great channel mate 👏👏👏
so cool!
Another note....if you use the old blender or to me the only blender mouse mapping...
Right click is select and left click places the cursor. If you are using the 'other mapping' its shift right click.
As well, for clouds, you can fire up image editor. Create a alpha blank, and just paint the fog on it and use it the same way. Or create the plane, assign the texture, make the texture a blank and paint on it like you normally do.
You can also do non-destructive photo manipulation with nodes, so you don't have to take the texture into photoshop, just bring in the assest into blender and node it up.
To set the location of the cursor you can simply shift+ right click on the location you want.
Good tip!
bless competent art teachers but especially you 🙏
