There were only 3 prototype F-20s built, and at least one crashed. The program was cancelled when the F-16 was allowed to be sold to 2nd tier nations, thereby eliminating the market for an "FX program" non-USAF export only fighter.
I remember playing football as a freshman after September 11th 2001 and when things were chaotic and an innocence of a generation was taken. Our stadium had a fly over before the game started during the anthem that was unexpected but (we knew it was American) and all I could remember was being ready to play football because I felt safe. Proud to be an American and support our military
