In the UK artists don't really sign as the market is way less smaller compared to the US a lot of these rappers wouldn't even be making money unless they toured. In the UK there's a stigma against signing a lot of artists don't really wanna be mainstream a lot of them are still heavily associated wit the street life, a huge UK artist is as big as an upcoming American artist.
