Hi everyone! Make sure to check out the matching arm warmer tutorial which should be posted by May 21, 2022! I appreciate all your kind comments and let me know what questions you have :)
Here's the written pattern: Materials: 1 skein of Lionbrand Icecream yarn (may need 2 to 3 if making the arm warmers too) White yarn for the ribbing (or whatever yarn you want) 5.5 mm crochet hook 3.75 mm crochet hook Yarn needle Scissors Skirt rows: (5.5mm hook) 1. Make a slip knot, chain 3, make 89 foundation half double crochets (or enough to fit around your waist snuggly (stretch it!)) 2. Slip stitch to join the first foundation half double crochet (hdc) with the 89th (or the last one you made) 3. Chain 2, turn work, place 1 hdc in each stitch, slip stitch to join, repeat this step until the skirt is long enough! (ignore the weird part on the first row that is not attached, this will be fixed at the end) Ribbing: (3.75 mm hook) 1. Slip knot, slip stitch at the seam of skirt, chain 8 (or as high up as you want the ribbing) 2. Single crochet (sc) in each chain except the first (7 sc total for me) 3. slip stitch into hdc from skirt row to attach the ribbing to the skirt, slip stitch into the next hdc on the skirt row, turn work 4. Skip the first 2 slip stitches and single crochet BACK LOOPS ONLY into remaining 7 sc stitches, ch 1, turn work 5. Repeat steps 2-4 until the ribbing goes all around the skirt. 6. Single crochet the two first and last row of ribbing together, chain 1, cut off, pull tight. Weave in ends!
