Doctors of Running podcast spoke with someone from Brooks and they talk a lot about these choices. They have testing data behind their drops and designs. You may not agree, but it's an interesting listen.
They didn't have the More V3 anymore at my local running shop and I need to prep for the Berlin Marathon... they offered me Brooks Glycerin 20 instead. Felt very good trying it but the first 10k with them were not comfortable at all. Really suffered on the shins... most of my running friends swear by it saying its amazing ! probably linked to the difference in drops... Going to stick with my New Balance More :)
Im 6'3 for 190 lb: the more V3 are giving me plenty of joy. I confirm all said in the vlog. I would Definitely reccomend them if you are on the tall/heavy side as no other shoe ever treated me so well... I can even pick my pace a little on long distances. Almost 200 Miles on the clock and no visible signs of wear and tear or any midsole upset. I'll probably buy another pair.
I use the More v3 mostly for recoveries - I find it to be a bit too much cushion for easy days, esp if I’m doing any strides at the end. I’ve 600km in mine and they seem just fine still, but I’m going to replace them with something else. I had the Ghost previously, and it was ‘fine’, so the Glycerin could be a good one to try
I love the More v3 as well. Actually find it provides a good amount of energy return. Also good for casual wear. Most comfortable shoe is New Balance Lerato though. Also best sneaker for casual. You should pick up a pair and compare them.
I tried those new Glycerin’s (GTS version) but found the midsole got really, uncomfortably warm 🤷🏻♂️ Had to give them up. I have the NB Vongo V5 now for long ‘ploody’ runs. It’s basically a stable version of the 1080.
I think you should try Glycerin 20 with StealthFit upper (alternate upper). I saw some reviews that indicate it is lighter and would be better for running at faster rate.
more v3 makes my calves ache. They were my first pair of rockers so I thought it was the design but as the years my calves still get tight and ache. I purchased the Hoka 7 and clifton with no problems with my legs/calves. Hoka 7 feels secure and so comfortable for me. Issue for me must be the cushioning is too soft for me even though I like and need the cushioning. Hoka 8 is tad tight at forefoot but I like the lightness and cushion response but too tight. I am looking at the glycerine and the 1080 v12 due to I have a wide foot. I dont run as I am unable but I love joggers to walk. Does anyone have suggestions please.
Great, great shoe with one caveat. The tongue is ridiculously long and travels medial or lateral with ease. Still, it's my favorite shoe! Of course, the 1080v12, Novablast 2 and Nike Invincible Run are right on par with this Tongue Monster. BTW it's $115 EVERYWHERE right now, and that's a STEAL!
I do not own Clifton but I do have a pair of Bondi7 which I believe is closer to More & Glycerin . Btw, my MoreV3 mileage is around 300k and is still a okay. ( for now )
Good question. I always thought the Glycerine should be on the same level as the Clifton... and should therefore be on the level of the NB 1080. Everyday cushioned trainer. The Hoka Bondi, NB FF More V3 would be max cushion, same level as Nike Invincibles, at least that's how I try to make sense of this.
its beyond me how anyone ever could have liked the glycerine 19. this thing is absolutely dead - no energy return whatsoever. even when just walking it feels like walking in wet sand. glycerine 20 much, much better tho as you mention. so far thr More V3 is my favourite and shoud probably be the first runnubg shoe anyone buys when starting off to prevent injuries and starting off “too fast”.
I don't know why Brooks is so set on 10-12mm offsets in all their training shoes. I have the More v3 and I LOVE them.

I love my V3. They cushion the horrible 6 a.m Sunday jog out
Morev3 very durable shoe for me . I use it on my easy day's even walking the dog and whatnot casual even .. it keeps very steady .

Hey, at 2:15, I believe there's an issue with the audio, isn't it? It mentions the Saucony Endorphin speed. It seems like it comes from another video.
What about for atanding all day? Which would you pick
Does the v3 take pressure off the arch for people with plantar fasciitis/flater feet? How is standing on your feet with the V3 for a hole day?
I think you should try Glycerin 20 with StealthFit upper (alternate upper). I saw some reviews that indicate it is lighter and would be better for running at faster rate.
Can't ignore the Glycerin being £20 more too, I think it priced better at £140.

More v3, superlative Comfort.

Ciao Tom...the More V3 are absolutely fantastic shoes! I can't wait to try the V4s ... have you already been able to taste them?
The more v4 came out and it looks like it has too much cushion for once. It looks to heavy and clunky.
How do these compare to the Hoka line? Clifton is the closest?

and yes, I do like NB More more than Hoka Bondi for those recovery long distance runs
