Should Christians use crystals? How to identify and avoid new age idolatry with gemstones

Crystals are God’s beautiful creations that are mentioned throughout the Bible. However, in the new age we turned crystals into idols and believed that they had magical powers apart from God, as this video discusses.
There’s nothing wrong with having crystals as decorations to appreciate God‘s amazing creation. However, some of us who’ve been saved out of the New Age are like alcoholics who can’t be around alcohol. So for many of us, we can’t have crystals because they remind us of the idolatry that we were saved out of. 
Praise God for saving us, and may he save many more out of new age deception.
