Caleb Shomo actually wrote, recorded all instruments and vocals,, and produced all of their music himself. That is at least true for their first album. I know he produced and wrote every album but the all instruments part might have only been for the first album. He’s one of the most talented musicians out there, though. What a legend
He wrote all songs on all albums with Nick Raskulinecz, producer for alive in chains, korn, and deftones. Beartooth is his therapy band pretty much. Wouldn't doubt it if he wrote everything for every album Beartooth ever releases.
Dude, Beartooth is PHENOMENAL! I’ve been a fan since day one and, to this day, they are so great! You need to listen to I Have a Problem and Disease. SUCH a great band! Honestly one of the only bands I still listen to from my metal phase
Saw these guys live in Brissy, Aus in 2016. Alongside Amity Affliction, Make them Suffer and PVRIS these guys were by far my favourite. Have been my favourite ever since. Opened with "Aggressive" and a wall of death.. Was absolutely hectic

I think the minimalist drum set can be explained by remembering that what Beartooth are playing is more reminiscent of Hardcore than it is metal and Hardcore comes from punk and in punk it's not unusual to have only a few drums and cymbals

I’m a Beartooth fan and a metal fan but Beartooth is not metal they’re post-hardcore imo. This was the first Beartooth song I heard, I was not a fan at first, it wasn’t until just recently after hearing some of their heavier songs I became a fan.
You should check out the Ukranian metal band Jinjer. Watch Pisces live session first, then Perennial live at Wacken and then I speak Astronomy. The drummer, bassist and guitarist are incredible but you've never seen anything like singer Tatiana. She will blow your mind. Be warned, once you go down this rabbit hole you will be hooked...
