Hi Wayne, greetings from across the pond here in the USA. I absolutely love your videos on the KITT build up!! I’m following with all your videos. I’ve followed your channel for quite a while now and have found all your videos to be very informative and helpful. Keep up the great work my friend, cheers
I was looking for a eagle moss replacement, and this is it, perfect, I was a fan of knight rider as a child, so this kit 😂 is gonna be fun for me. thank u sir.
I have been watching for this model to get to the United States for months since you started your build. I just went to Fanhome and placed my order. I love Knight Rider.
Been haveing so much fun watching this build i went and subscribed to fan home to build one. I may be hooked already will have to try some others. Great content awesome tips and tricks.
I know this probably a spoiler but with Issue 67 of this partwork in Japan you get the car body and its massive and very heavy. Probably the heaviest partwork part you'd ever see with a magazine.
You might want to get some entomology tweezers for things like stickers & decals. Instead of metal points/tips/grabby ends, these have rubber tips. They're designed for handling insects without injuring them, and the soft tips would mean less chance of marking or damaging whatever you're handling. I mention this, as when you put the silver stickers on the wheel hub, at certain points in the video afterwards the stickers appeared a little dimpled/marked.
Adding to fill in? My stepfather was a retired LAPD (Los Angeles Police) motorcycle officer. Here in LA it is common for studios to hire ex-cops for security when on location shoots. My stepdad did that, made oodles of money. Made great relationships with crew, and sometimes cast as well. Small detail? He also worked the original "Back to the Future" film...when they were shooting in the dark parking lot. True story. He was fascinated why they kept freezing those DeLoreans...
I sometimes wish that this 'Parts Subscription' was available to the States. Yes, I've checked. My mother's second husband actually worked on the show "Knight Rider" and although HE had passed, my mother would likely like to see a built up model. That I built. The Eaglemoss' debacle...well, still fingers crossed on that outcome. Cheers!
I am honestly surprised this car has rear drum brakes considering Trans Am had rear discs on most of them, my dad had a 1983 T/A and it had rear discs but then again his was a fully loaded Daytona 500 Pace Car edition so not sure if only top fully loaded trim level T/As had them or not. I just thought that KITT would have 4 wheel discs *shrugs*. EDIT looked it up unless you had the top level WS6 suspension package you did not get discs on the back so that would be why my dad's car had em for sure you learn something new on these cars all the time lol
I love watching you're videos. I just put the first 2 packs together tonight. Question tho. What are you gonna do about the Enterprise D build? I am still hoping someone will pick it up so we can finish it.
Hi Wayne....I am enjoying the build. Just wondering have you done a build of The Eddie Stobart lorry?? If you have is it on youtube as I can't seem to find it. Only another man but he's not a good as you. Thanks. Keep up with the good work.
Why on Earth didn't they just give us the last wheel? That way we could have the chassis(?) more or less done, and been able to stand it on its wheel! But at least it's coming along!
At issue 35, you screwed the brake disc upside down. The end of the cilinder needs to point downwards, not upwards. You did the same mistake for issue 38 with the other brake disc.
On the rear, despite the hype, it's not important. Your front brakes do the work, your rears just provide pedal feel and keep the rear in a generally straight line.
Unfortunately the customers will be at the bottom of a long list of creditors so we will get almost nothing. I have received and paid for 105 out of 110 issues of Eleanor and it is just scrap metal. I am only holding onto it in case someone else picks it up and I can finish it. Everyone warned me that partworks were a scam and I guess they were right. When I sign up for a partwork I expect all issues to be available as they guarantee to supply all parts to completion. This is clearly not the case and therefore in my opinion they are a scam Never again will I do a partwork model
There is a red wire that runs under one of the wheel arches with connectors on it,which issue do you install that? The reason I am asking is because I am taking over someone else's build.
It does get confusing when talking left and right in cars. I always use near side and off side and direction is based on weather you are looking at the car from the front or back
Just want to mention, not an expert by any means and don't mean to be picky but think it's a drum brake not a disc brake assembly on the rears that's why there black buddy!
Unfortunately I have given up with partworks. Eaglemoss going into administration when I was 5 issues from the end of the Eleanor build was the last straw. On the bright side I have since found a new enjoyment in lego building which I would not otherwise have discovered. I hope your channel continues to grow having followed for a few years, but with no more interest in partworks I will be unsubscribing

Thank you. Build looking as good as mine. 😀
great video enjoy your holiday
Great build as per normal Wayne, WE all know the real star of Knight Rider was KITT, with the HOFF as his comic relief.
Been haveing so much fun watching this build i went and subscribed to fan home to build one. I may be hooked already will have to try some others. Great content awesome tips and tricks.
You’re doing an awesome job with KITT!! Same as you did with the DeLorean. Keep up the good work.

Wayne, Those Are Brake Shoes @ 8:57. Indication Would Be A Drum Brake, Not A Disc Brake

Three wheels on your wagon and you're still rolling along. 😁
Great video ❤

I am now caught up with you :)
When you mentioned the deliberate mistake I assumed you were talking about your "Rear Rear Suspension " chapter title 😀
just got my stages 35 to 38,still not started the build yet.but will start soon,
Yep. Mine came today too :D
@@WorldofWayneUK did you get the kitt power pack with your order?
@@kefl298 No not yet
They look more like brake drums to me not sure what the lip is for, the enbossed face looks like a drum assembly.

No idea

I never did that build I’m afraid
KITT used a panhandle?
Great vid 🙏🙏💞👍👍🍺🍺🐕🐕🚓🚓

Two words : Delayed gratification
At issue 35, you screwed the brake disc upside down. The end of the cilinder needs to point downwards, not upwards. You did the same mistake for issue 38 with the other brake disc.
You've got to laugh. Supposed to be highly tech.
But the car has drum brakes😂
Lol

How much did the whole thing cost?
Eaglemoss are now officially in Receivership so get any claims for Money in asap.

I’m not at that stage yet. I’m slightly behind but am tackling it this week
Have u done the video for 39 40 41 42 for knight rider m8
Like video
That was brake shoes and you put the shock on the right side when you said left side.
It does get confusing when talking left and right in cars. I always use near side and off side and direction is based on weather you are looking at the car from the front or back
Hey Wayne I just had a question maybe you can answer for me. I know Fanhome is selling this model kit but who actually is the maker of it.
I wondered when you would notice your 'deliberate' mistake? Lucky for you that you didn't have to dissemble half the model to put it right!
Odd design for the shock absorbers.
Do you plan on re-posting your ECTO videos if the build gets picked up by someone else?
They are already up again
If u have done that video can u send me it again as I must of missed 39 40 41 42
No haven’t received that yet
I was wondering why the suspension was different on each side. Also, you didn't add the playlist up the corner of the video at the end. Tsk tsk.
Doh!
I wonder if anyone would mod this into KARR?
Stage 36, u put shock in wrong side?🤦♂️
Yep
Just want to mention, not an expert by any means and don't mean to be picky but think it's a drum brake not a disc brake assembly on the rears that's why there black buddy!
