- Set off with the intention of going up Stob Coire nam Beith. Struggled a bit with conditions reaching the Bealach and should have had crampons on sooner than I did .Wind picked up and put me off going any higher and settled for the wee summit cairn on An t-Sron (907m)
As a visiting American, I had the distinct pleasure of spending a few hours at Glencoe. I'm not very spiritual by nature, but I must say I was taken by surprise as to the overwhelming beauty I witnessed and a overwhelming sense of serenity I felt while there. There is no other place that I have visited on the planet (I've lived in the US, Germany and Australia for extended periods) that made feel the way I felt in Glencoe. Amazing.
Nice words Robert.😀
I have been striving for serenity for a long time and found it when I started hiking the Mountains.
Glencoe is special.I visit regular and always have an uplifting experience. The only other place that comes close to it is further up North in Torridon.Thank you for your comment.😃👍
Cracking video as usual Andy 😁 Route added to the planner, thank you 😉😂
Thanks Gabriela,glad u enjoyed it.😀xx
That looked a cracking route Andy I didn't know that was there defo one for the future and seeing Glencoe from another angle brilliant mate. ATB ALLY 👍
Thanks Ally.Great way up.Well constructed path albeit a bit slippy in places that runs parallel with the main water arterie. This route up is used a lot by climbers going for Stob Coire nam Lochan and Stob Corie nam Beith.Found the last section to the Bealach hard going on mixed terrain with crampons on.🫣😱
That looked a good day, even if you changed the plan. Better to be comfortable with what your doing and enjoying it. I wondered where that was exactly to start with, then when you headed down the road i realised. A good route with cracking views. ATB Andy
Thanks Andy.New one for me in this way.Great start point outside the cottage.I have never been comfortable in mixed conditions with crampons on and it was too icy to continue without them.Great day all the same.😀
Brilliant Andy, what a way to go up, looked superb and great views when you were up top. Yeh you made the right decision mate to change your plan. Looked a tad dodgy esp on yer jack Jones.
Great edit & tunes big man 👏👍

Frank
Thanks Frank.Cracking route up here. Don't mind crampons in snow but on mixed terrain I find it hard.Looking ahead at the ridge, it seemed to be very rocky, and when the wind picked up, I was like.....nah.
Going to go back in summer and possibly descend into the Lost Valley or down Stob Coire nan Lochan.😃👍
Brilliant video mate, looked like a great day 😀👍
Thanks pal.Wee big sketchy getting to the bealach but got there in the end.Great path, loads of wee waterfalls and plenty of water if ye get thirsty.Popped into the Clachaig for a munch afterwards.
Great views Andy, looked very steep going up but well worth it 😁👍
Thanks Billy.Yeah is steep in there.Great path all the same.Won't be short of a water source if u get thirsty, lol.🤣👍
Mr O ☺ fantastic vlog love Glencoe something about the place and how it makes me feel almost spiritual....wanted a photo on that bridge in front of the house but someone was painting the bridge when i went...oh well good excuse to go back i guess.Glad you deployed some safety and headed back..good lad 😊
Excellent video mate. Not many see Glencoe from there 😀👍👍
Thanks Derek.Glencoe is a stunning place.Always good to revisit.😃👍
@abelmcbride-scotland Thanks Abel.Only met 3 people all day in there and came back to a half empty car park.Deffo going to go back and finish the loop I had in mind.😃👍
Looks great 👍
Thank you.A route I had never done before gave amazing views right from the start off.😀
Well done Andy….that looked steep as fek lol
Thanks Donniy. It caught me by surprise and I was a bit late in getting the crampons on.Ground was solid whether it be turff, scree or snow.Crampons are awkward for me in mixed ground.I'm like a guy wie 6 inch high heels on.🤣🤣🤣
Cracking views different perspective to Biden brilliant
Thanks Andrew.Had never ventured up this path before either.😃
Deffo coming back to continue on to Bidean and descend either Stob Coire nan Lochan or Lost Valley.😀
So will I cheers
