I’m in the same boat haha. I had an older Airstream that I remodeled, but I knew nothing about the stuff for towing so my grandpa worked on the hitch and stuff but I did the inside and exterior. But I was rear ended by a distracted semi truck and the trailer and my truck were totaled. I do know that I want to buy a new airstream, but I really want a toy hauler, because as a car guy I’ll be able to put my M4 or Supra in there so I can bring one as I travel.
Toy haulers keep getting better every year
Thanks to huge improvements in the floorplans, they're starting to become my favorite trailer category.
The living space is getting comparable to other categories, while offering a space that can be used for just about whatever you want. They also tend to offer washer & dryer hookups more often. They even offer the half bath more often. That extra toilet is invaluable on trips with more than 2 or 3 people involved.
I'm liking the addition of the toy haulers you have been doing. That is what I am looking at getting to haul my 4 seat sxs in.
You need a 15' garage for sxs 4 seat , i got a raptor 423 whit 13' garage and almost can fit a cam an 2 seat
I'd like be to get one also but I need one with about a 7'6" ceiling height in the garage.
That is the nicest toy hauler you've shown yet I think. I like the interior colors. They are very warm, calming and inviting. Just like home should be.
My grandfather and I are looking at traveling and haven't really found many units that provide essentially 2 bedrooms under 40'. We were not planning on bringing any toys, but as I found this today, it looks like a good competitor for giving us separate spaces.
Toy haulers aren’t my thing but this one is laid out pretty well. At least you can watch TV without pinching a nerve in your neck.

Now this is close se to what I'm looking for like the fact you told how long the garage is on this one but I'd like one about 15-18 feet long garage and with a 7'6" height and zero carpet except maybe in the master bedroom

Great review. One thing that I like that you cover is the weight empty and loaded. So with this having an empty weight of 12k, that is a hitch weight empty of around 2400 lbs loaded closer to 3500 lbs. I’ve been thinking about upgrading to something like this carbon until I found out that my 3/4 ton Ram with the Cummins and Megacab only has a 1900 lb payload rating. So any of these are out of the question unfortunately. Do you have any recommendations for fifth wheel toy haulers for those of us in the limited payload category? Or, is pretty much every 5th wheel toy hauler reserved for the 14k GVWR (F350, Ram / GM 3500) truck folks? Makes me wish I would have paid more attention to payload when I bought this truck, uggghhh! Keep up the great work.

The TV is too high, especially because the 3-1/2 seat couch is so close. What is with the obsession in RV design that the entertainment center MUST be below the TV? Put it *above* the TV, keep the controls (and the stored remote) out of the reach of little hands, and eliminate the stiff neck from watching movies on those rainy days.
Get rid of those Trailer King tires, those came on my Montana back in 2017, only lasted 3,000 miles.

I'm not a fan of the weird super-sofa thing, awkward for a longer trip. Our next RV will be a large toyhauler, but the options for conventional kitchen/dining/living configurations are surprisingly rare. (I'll repurpose the garage as an office/work area with a desk that rides up the happy-jack thing and park the ATV underneath on travel days).

Stated specs are 17000 lbs GVWR / 12940lbs dry with 2x7000lb axles. How can you put 4000 klbs into it?. Won't violate the GVWR, but the axles are only rated for a total of 14000 lbs. With a dry weight of 12940lbs , means can only put 1060lbs (14000-12940) in before overloaded. Besides heavier rated tires, should have a third axle. Not very good.
Some of the weight will be carried by the truck

What TT or 5th Wheel would you recommend? . Has to have washer/dryer, residential fridge, King size bed is a plus, reliable, used would be best. I presume we're looking at 30+'. Would a F250/2500 be good enough? Thank you very tough decision for us as we don't know a lot about campers.
Does it have a gas tank? For the generator at least.
In this model, the gas tank supplies both the generator and fuel station. Some other toy haulers have two gas tanks.
You didn't comment on the tires. What's thoughts on those trailer Kings?
Can someone tell me why they install the mid and rear jacks so low to the ground? This height seems to be an industry standard and it is a very “damaging” height!!!! Please comment....thanks

Why a G tire over the F?
Higher load rating and all steel design. Much heavier duty tire designed for longer over the road.
