Recreated jawline is a bit too square.
I appreciate that you shared your opinion on the Berlin Bust. That if it is a fake then it is a pretty d good one
I thought that I had seen this before. I believe you said you did an update? I am glad that I decided to watch anyway
I probably did see it. It is 2 years old
She was a beautiful woman when you see the Berlin Bust (whether or not it's fake) but your modern recreation of what she may look like if she was alive now is truly stunning.
The people of Africa in 1320 Egyptians where black. The kingdom was an The people were black no not tand .stop trying to make Africans white to fit in history. White people came black not the other way around
@@Paulsmith-wh1ee Egyptians were not black. Fact
@@laurencehutchinson8644 yeah a genetical fact... they were near easterners genetically...
@@maszkalman3676 genetic fact they were never black.
@@laurencehutchinson8644 true only the nubians were the only blacks back there who we would call black..
If she indeed look anything like the sculptures of her you can see why they say she was the most beautiful woman in Egypt, your recreations only solidify that fact.
"They" the ancients don't say that. Only modern people say it. There is no mention of her looks anywhere in history from the time she lived. It's 19th people that were amazed at the beauty of the statue and that got exaggerated by the media, to this day. And since we can't see into the past to get a view of many Egyptian girls to see what they looked like, it's impossible to say Nefertiti was more beautiful than the rest.
@@Metal0sopher From a fee Egyptian girls ive seen they look pretty similar. Especially one i knew.
@@randomstuff1315 no they don't.
@@crocopix They absolutely do. I literally took a modern depiction of a modern Christian Egyptian and showed it to Afrocentrists and told them that its an ancient Egyptian statue and they all said that its 100% black. LOL.
@@randomstuff1315 sorry my bad, it wasn't intended for you.
I totally agree, I have a cousin who looks like her, Iraqi though.
There's always the temptation to skip to the end bc i know it's gonna be good- but all the careful history storytelling is really what MAKES the reveal so much more. Another really cool portrait.
exactly
Gave you a like but still skipped to the end! 🤣
No queen in Egypt had a name like " the beautiful one has come forth", that is not coincidence She was indeed gorgeous.
I love how you really research your subject. My Grandfather wore many hats, he was a geologist, paleontologist, archeologist, genealogist, architect and held two other engineering degrees. He loved to study everything but his passion was researching the past, even when he was older and couldn’t travel he read all the papers and would explain what he was reading to me. We would have loved your videos. He used to say that the stylizations of the times was sometimes frustrating because they did not depict the true person as they were, but as a representation of style fads of the time. Thank you for having this channel.
Thank you so much. I totally agree, the stylizations kind of suck because you know you’re not seeing the “true” figure. But at the end of the day they are the closest thing we have to these people, and I love bringing them to life & making them feel closer to us!
Very nice
Wow! Your grandfather is such an inspiration! I plan to be only 2 out of that list. An archeologist and a geneologist.
those women looking nothing like nefertiti for she has more bone structure from her being skinny
If they ready did any research they would know that bust of Nefertiti is a fake and was made in the 20th century
I visited Egypt in 2021 and went to the Temple of Nefertiti. Simply amazing how many depictions there are of her. Your history was on point. The recreations are stunning.
Thank you for the video, as an Egyptian I can see that the first face recreation is more accurate and I was surprised as I found it so familiar to me as we have an Egyptian actress looks typically like it
, her name is Tayseer Fahmy, we also have another supper star called Sawsan Badr she looks typically like the statue 😍
Thank you for this information!
I think shermine shahrivar looks a lot like her. Claudia Lynx looks quite a bit like her as well. It’s those cheekbones and lips.
Interesting. I checked out those two and they're definitely beautiful women. To my eye Sawsan looks more like the statue head. Some photos of Tayseer look similar but more vague to me. Thanks for the post. Its so interesting how people today still look the same as people thousands of years ago.
@@Flynn943 specifically talking about her features, not the color of her skin.
@@Flynn943 she aint sub saharan...so stop dreaming...ancient egyptian always differentiate themself from sub sahran african, tghey even said it themselves in their own records adn always portrayed sub saharan african as darker and look totally different then them. Dont blame us, blamed the Ancient Egyptian because its them who told us that they are not sub saharan african,. Ancient Egyptian would look just like many native north African tribes today like the Berber or Amazigh or the coptic. NOT like sub saharan african.
Love that you've remained true to the Berlin bust. The quality is so high that there's no reason to think it might not be accurate. Others have deviated too far.
She really was perfection 😊
This for me is one of THE most beautiful of your recreations! Also the most realistic looking. It is stunning and I love to think she looked just like that. Fantastic work as always.
Fake A$$ reconstruction of a Beautiful Black Egyptian Queen, and the low esteem non Black folks are eating this FAKE $hit up like its a bowl of chocolate ice cream with white whipped cream on top with a red cherry in the middle...There is also a supposedly image of King Tut that has him looking like a "CLUBBED FOOT" half bald mixed race Arab, and one of Ramses and even Dark skin Thutmosis III that have them looking like old wrinkled up yellow chicken skin looking Iranian/Iraqi drunks .. All the statues show these people with THICK lips, broad noses, WOOLLY braided hair wigs, Frescoes with dark skin (not tan) ha ha ha, but recreations has to be of the NON BLACK mind who desires to make Black people not look like themselves..😂😂😂
She was a real beauty, and your recreations are lovely. No wonder they spoke of her beauty as they did! I think the Berlin Bust is authentic too.
Whether authentic or a misidentified piece, the bust is truly a work of art, IMO.
I have been following your recreations for a while now. This Nefertiti smiling is defninately one of the most controversial and real versions so far. I see you got her ears right too which is what makes it the most real version of an ancient Egyptian too. I can allso see why people think she was Syrian or Persian - given the similarities with people from there - even today. But i also wanted to thank you for the well research history lessons while creating the best likeness you can based on all the information available. Keep up the great work! Regards, an old guy from Australia.
Amazing. Loved the blue earrings on the first recreation shown. I remember learning that they would never be seen without each other in public. They would always be together to symbolize divine completion. Their existence together was needed for the world to exist. That is beyond powerful and beautiful when you think about it. Especially how it must have looked to the people 3,000 years ago.
On my first trip to egypt I assumed cleopatra was beautiful and several egyptologists told me she was not considered beautiful, but charasmatic and extremely clever. They all told me Nerfertiti was the epitomy of beauty for many egyptians. I was so excited when i saw art depicting her at the national museum because it was obvious she was absolutely stunning by any standard. Iknew my history from books but my visual references were mostly from movies. I learned my lesson.
What a wonderful channel this is. You really bring the characters from the past to life for us in a new way. Thank you!
Cleopatra was both charismatic and beautiful. I think modern historians tend to dismiss beauty of any important woman, becaus emodern politics put importance on "mind" and internal value instead of physical look, as if it was shameful to woman be both beautiful and clever 😒😒 It's not only Cleopatra, also Kosem Sultan and I bet many others.
Beauty depends on who the judge is, I cannot understand how some people think black people can be anywhere near attractive, I think that they are as ugly as sin, flat noses, fat lips, peppercorn hair, to me they are extremely unpleasant to even look at, yet some people, for some unfathomable reason, decide not only are they attractive, but there are whites who enter into relationships with them. So there isn’t a standard that is objective.
She’s a true Egyptian beauty!
Im egyptian and there is an Egyptian celebrity her name is sawsan badr and she looks very similar to nefertiti. Although i think nefertiti had more soft features compared to sawsan but both are beautiful women 😊
I checked, and her profile photo is def similar. But Sawsan's lips are more far away from the nose than Nefertiti's
I was always obsessed with her and always wanted to see what she could’ve looked like. It’s amazing to think how people would’ve looked in the ancient times
I think if you check an Egyptian actress by the name of sawsan badr resembles a lot the sculptures of Nefertiti
@@mikeminba7687 she looks nothing like her lmfao
@@Yeah--mn9qk she does look like her little bit
😮
I first saw the bust of Nefertiti in the mid-1960's. My Dad was stationed in West Germany, for a vacation we traveled to Berlin and East Berlin. I was enthralled with it as a little girl and I still am enthralled with its beauty.
The Berlin Bust of her is one of the most fascinating historical objects I’ve ever seen in my life it looks as if she could open her mouth and tell us stories that have been lost to time for thousands of years
Excellent. The recreation looks like a person that can exist today.
I'd seen an archeology video describing how the bust was discovered in an artist's workshop with quite a number of similar, partly finished busts of her with exactly the same features. So, in addition to the penchant for more realistic portraits during Akhenaten's reign, the archeologist thought it likely that Nefertiti's appearance was at least very close to reality.
I absolutely love your videos. Both the history and the facial reconstructions are so engaging and interesting to watch. Thank you so much for your work.
Thank you so much!
I'd loved to see a reconstruction of the great sphinx.
I noticed many stay well clear of those statues such as Narmer, djoser, Huni, Queen T just to name a few
Stunning, I love how you gave her a more Egyptian look and Egyptian coloring!!!
I find these comments so weird. What else would she be?? Her name is Nefertiti?!
It's nice to see her smile. What a gorgeous woman!
If she were alive today she would be crowned Miss Universe in a heartbeat
Or, be the HIGHEST Paid SUPERMODEL in History.
This very clever woman would be president of Egypte !
Maybe not, the Ms Universe competition is rigged.✌️
She wouldn't enter that degrading 'competition', walking around in a bathing suit and having people give her scores.
I'm just saying. She's beautiful
I’ve always loved Nefertiti. I’ve worn a necklace of her since I was 16; I’m 55 now. Thanks for this video.
WOW! She was stunningly beautiful!!
Great job! Very elegant way of bringing history into contemporary presents! Looking forward seeing more of your projects.
This is such fantastic work you do. It's very neat to see what historical figures might really have looked like in person. Thanks so much!
Glad that I was able to stumble upon this channel ☺️ Love the whole execution, narration, tone, and the 'reveals' are just an ultimate plus to what a great channel this already is ❤
LOVE all of these recreations. It's magnificent to see it all unfold. We don't know how they looked, so this is absolutely fascinating. Thanks!!
Absolutely beautiful! This was so interesting. Thank you for sharing it with us. 🙌🏻
Nefertiti was truly a beautiful woman....and so are your recreations and art! : )
Egyptian beauty
She was gorgeous!!!
Great research and even greater depiction of her image. Bringing her image to how she could look today was outstanding. You closed the gap on wondering how she might have looked. Can't wait to see more of your work!! Keep it up!!
Captured the Egyptian eyes great
She is absolutely stunning. About 10 years ago at a discounted retail store, I noticed a white ceramic discarded bust that I knew immediately was that of Nefertiti. I took it home and painted it based on the real one in Berlin. I attached an Egyptian necklace I had and not to toot my own horn here, it looks stunning to this day. Seeing what she would have looked like in real life is breathtaking. ❤
The recreation looks absolutely accurate. Wish the bump on her nose was left as it would have helped to probably see more of what she was like, but this really did bring her to life! She was very lovely!
You have done the most perfect recreation that I feel anyone could ever do1 It was like actually seeing her in person and finding her to be so very receptive with the smile, as well. Thank you! Am so glad it is on UA-cam and so many will get this opportunity to really see it as would have looked in real life!.
The construction of the bust is somewhat misunderstood.
The smooth exterior shows her younger appearance and the inner core is her image in older age.
As the bust deteriorates over centuries and possibly millennia, it will show her greater age by losing its exterior layers.
The process ultimately will expose her elder image as facial lines, bumps and saggy features of age gradually appear from under the plaster exterior.
Wow! I'm Egyptian, originally from upper egypt. I live in a European country and people here are overly faschinated with my face calling me princess/Cloepatra/ Nefertiti(which was totally new to me) coz her looks is kinda common in Egypt and i keep telling them there are hundreds of my face there :) How cool to see her strong and beautiful❣️
You're like a celebrity to your friends. 😎🇪🇬
Are you coptic or something?
And you are NOT the original inhabitant of her time. Also everyone knows that head figure of her is fabricated. The original inhabitants were Kushites; they now live in Sudan.
@@BrianKabonyo no based on her name I can assume she is muslim in old days most coptics converted to Islam some remained Christians
Not tand but dark brown that was the color
The smile really brings her to life. I like the first version too.
You did a wonderful job displaying her with the little info that we can go by! I love your work! Thank You!
Beautiful recreation of Queen Nefertiti, not to mention the informative review of her life and role in ancient Egypt.
Beauty makes the world go round. You did a spectacular job, as usual.
I am wordless. Your work is so beautiful and mesmerizing. Thank you so much for the history too!
Thank you so much! I appreciate the kind words
Stunning! I saw the real bust on exhibition and it was breathtaking as is your reconstruction. Great work.
Nefertiti was stunningly beautiful
I really liked the third image you did !! She looked so beautiful 😭😭
It's really amazing to see how much you've improved as an artist over the last year and a half! The early 2020 one was gorgeous, but the new ones are spectacular!

Your work is spectacular!
I started with the amazing recreation of Cleopatra and now (finally, as She’s always been fascinating) Nefertiti. I love how we get some history too and then their pictures. Great work!
She was absolutely gorgeous. Bringing history back to life . I love it
I love what you do. To be honest, my heart jumped when the likeness smiled. Keep up the good work. I love history. I think I love it because it involves real people. I don't always like the turns it takes, but that because people are involved. By the way, your voice is ideal for narrating. Don't let anyone else do that for you.
I always enjoy your recreations! You do an amazing job.
She looks like a lot of egyptian women , some of them are famous like the actress Sawsan Badr ,
She’s beautiful! Thank you for the bookmarks, but the history is fascinating!
I absolutely admire the history research being showcased along with the bringing to life content !! Keep it up !!

Another spectacular job. Loved your mini-biography. It makes the reveal all the more exciting. She looked like a beautiful movie star.
Stunning beauty and so happy you have her smiling! This is what makes her come alive for me.
Thank you. I was fortunate to have seen her at the Met many years ago. I have always felt The Bust is the real thing. Love your work! Thank you for posting!
You do amazing work! Could you do Grace O'Malley? She's one of my favourite historical figures, and I'd love to see your recreation of her :)
Absolutely Beautiful! Your recreations are fabulous! Well done!!!!
I just stumbled across this. Amazing stuff, both the history and the recreations. I'll be diving into your previous posts. Many respects to you.
I find Nefertiti to be such an interesting pharaoh and it sucks that we don’t know much about her life apart from her husband Akhenaten. I definitely think she is one of the most beautiful pharaohs in Egyptian history. I think how she is portrayed in the Berlin Bust is what she looked like. I really like the first reconstruction of her and think that’s how she looked like when she was alive. I’m very curious to know what happened to her after she wasn’t present in the art anymore. Have you done a reconstruction of Akhenaten? If not, I would be really interested in seeing that and seeing how he looked like. I’m sure he was just as attractive as his wife.
Absolutely gorgeous 💖 Great work
Brilliantly done. Very informative and enjoyable. Thank you.
My dad had studied ancient history in college, so he had several books on the subject which I perused as a boy with fascination. The face of Nefertiti made a deep impression on me from a very early age.
Beautiful bust; your recreations are stunning both in their execution and the beauty of Nefertiti. I particularly appreciate how meticulously you research your subjects. I have no doubt the research allows you to get to know your subjects in a way that influences your artistic interpretation of them. Congratulations on such wonderful results!

You present masterful histories on your subjects and your artistic recreations are just as compelling. You are very talented. Thank you so much for your diligence to both aspects. I can add very little to what you have done except this: Amal Alamuddin Clooney looks very similar to your depiction of a modern day Nefertiti.
You know, Christmas is coming up so I was thinking could you please make a Charles Dickens one? Also, your art is truly beautiful. Keep it up!
Wow! You guys blew me away with this episode. The source material is gorgeous in and of itself but then when you put your spin on it, she looks like she could be alive right now and active in Egyptian government. She must've been a sight to see in real life. On a side note, I could not help but notice the passion in your voice in regard to this particular subject. I can tell that you took great care and utter respect when you did this recreation. I know you take great care with all of these but it seems this one held a special place in your heart. Keep making more of these videos. I love it!!!!

Yeah the results are beautiful. Except that picture doesn't resemble her at all she had wool hair. But they got her looking like someone from India????
@@ericwilliams7394 Wool hair? What are you talking about? She looked just like Coptic Egyptians do now because they are the same people. Except for a very brief 60 year period, ancient Egyptians were Caucasians, they were not black Negros.
