I had a cat named Garfield who loved bread. But the little weirdo also ate other things. Like all of the pecans off our pecan pies. Or my green bell pepper. Or Kool-aid.
Cat wouldn't eat dry cat food, but he'd eat dry dog food and green bell pepper.

I also have a cat named garfield and he also loves lasagna, and another cat named mango that loves bread
I just watched the video and my jaw dropped when Illy revealed Junie likes bread. That was exactly like what happened when my parents adopted our second cat Bagheera, he would eat bread that was left on the counter, hence he got the nickname The Breadator. This is why we later got a box to keep the bread inside. However, Bagheera would find a way to get it open until we finally added velcro and a strap to the box so it's secure. Also, Bagheera has a high-pitched meow like Luigi, he is two years old and he still squeaks.

I normally just let my cats fight it out until they get along. Obviously, it's not the best process, but at least for me, it's very effective because they get their beef settled in the very beginning instead of having it pinned up, and they rarely ever fight. The only time this is bad is if one cats as badly and violently hurting the other one, then you should separate them and let things cool down before trying again.
Yeah, we bought two cats at one time, FROM. THE SAME PLACE MIND YOU! And they acted fine for pictures, then when we got home it was hissing and batting at each other
@@Skywilth yeah, all my cats came from different place. 1 came from PetSmart, 1 from the SPCA (ACCT), 1 from a store owner, and 1 from the streets. They all mostly get along and don't fight much. If they feel like they want to fight, they will just avoid each other most of the time.
The name "Juniper" is actually a beautifully thought of name, especially when you know about the lore of the tree.

OMG, my cat Sunshine was just like flame point version of your Junie. We caught her dragging half a loaf of bread up the stairs. She also loved bagles - she'd sit and scream at my feet when I was doing anything involving bagles.

Cats being obsessed with bread is pretty common. Supposedly they like the smell of yeast, I don't really know, but all the cats I've had at least liked bread, and I've had issues with two separate cats trying to steal entire baguettes.

I got a dust mop cat, and he would bite me, when I would pet his back; his head was fine. I took him to a groomer, and she shaved his fur off: below the neck, his tail, and his legs; he had little "boots" left over.
I didn't know what to ask for, when I dropped him off.
When I went to get him, I was shock. When I took him to the vet, I knew that I was going to get scolded, but she was very approving of it
Note: a close shave, with an electric razor, not a blade; the cat won't be bald.
I even tried to slowly get my two cats introduced and they still fight like siblings 🤣🤣

my cat is a lot like junie actually. for some reason her mother and her litter were in our garden for a while and our cat was just kind of left behind. after her crying for 2 nights, we started to feed the stray kitten against our better judgement and now she’s been with us for almost 1 and a half years. she can never get enough food and she also always goes for the bag of bread whenever we leave it out. later we found out that her mom was our neighbor‘s cat but that was several months later when she was very much at home at ours and since we have a good relationship with our neighbors, we got to keep her.

@Baby Yoda See I agree with you on 99% of that, but I don't like KK's jelly-filled donuts. I think their jelly is better, but man it is not nearly as satisfying biting into that one compared to the dense fluffiness of DD's.

My cat is actually pretty big into bread too. Back when we first got him, we kept getting french bread to make pizza with, but we'd go to get it off the counter and it was torn all to hell. Happened at least two or three times in a row before we started IMMEDIATELY putting bread in the pantry when we got home.
My sister looked it, and it turns out that cats are apparently really into the smell and taste of yeast, and we started referring to his love of bread as "The Yeast-Lust"
