Thank you, Mr. Hanuman ... its a very generous act to be the 'local guide' to a virtual audience worldwide. By the way, I liked your explanation. Also, my thanks to Explore Enlighten Enjoy for filming it so well. I certainly did enjoy and was enlightened but one day I will explore this beautiful place as well ....
Me too met him on my solo trip in July 2019, recognised him through this video. Had a small chat with him and he was happy after I said about number of views on UA-cam. He was really a very humble man with bundle of knowledge!
I am from Rayalaseema andhrapradesh - the heart land of vijayanagara empire , every stone , lake , temple , art forms of this region tells innumerable stories about vijayanagara Kings , I also studied in Sri Krishna devaraya university Anantapuram- AP , they protected Hindu culture, art and literature from muslim invaders for centuries , Telugu literature reached its zenith under vijayanagara patronage in Hampi , Tanjore and Madurai - entire South is indebted to these rulers 🙏🙏
Agreed totally, .. not just the South, not even all of India ....the whole world is indebted. This entire era of the Vijayanagara period is a gift to humanity.
the history of hampi was so great full.my apil is the GOVT of INDIA will try to keep safe, try to revive old temples & request that history be preserved. Thanks for your post brother.
Hampi is only 1/20th of the actual vijayanagara city. It was & will remain the greatest city ever on earth. 1 lakh mansions during krishnadevrayas rule. The badavi shivalinga construction next to the narasimha statue was funded by a poor old woman. Even the poor in the city were rich!!!!
Hampi and Anegundi are our eternal Hindu inspirational , cultural, magnificent , historical, civilisational Assets. Archaeological Survey of India, Central and State Governments Have been working since some decades to preserve, protect and restore The Never to be forgotten Vijayanagar Empire ruins. But, how many people in Hospet, Kamalapur, Kampli, Bukkasagar, Ramsagar, Sandur, Anegundi, Ballari And surrounding areas are actually taking passionate interest in these valuable Excavation and restoration works? In fact, how many are concerned and worried About the present state of things regarding the Vijayanagara Empire Ruins and wanton Gradual destruction of them by anti social elements? It is a million dollar question?
Robert Sewell, Fernão Nunes, Domingos Paes, "mentioned in their book “A forgotten empire: Vijayanagar;”, that Vijayanagar was biggest and most prosperous capital city at that time in 1530. Its wiped out from map after battle of Talikota 1565 and destroyed and killed everyone and took wealths.
Hampi was the second largest city in the world after Peking( Beijing) in its time. Capital city of the United southern states . Capital of Vijaynagar ... It took the invaders six months to loot it .it's a example of how to loose your place in the world if you don't defend yourself !
I am here after listening to Kuldeep m Pai and his young student children sing from works of old sages🌼🌸🌼🌸thank you for a lovely documentary, wouldn’t it be amazing if we could have musical pillars built into modern temples today?
Kudos to Muslim society who have preserved the hatred for idols and mastered the art of destroying temples and idols for generations. The latest casualty being Bamiyan buddha. A great mentality for the sustenance of humanity. It remains to be seen when the second wave of attack happens.
In the year of 2004 first time iam visited hampi. Second time in the year of 2018.. We are meeting 2nd time hampi visit ,SRIKRISHNA DEVARAYA..19th era...in anegundi in his house
Nice video but he didn't say anything about Hakka and Bukka, founder of the Vijaya nagara dynasty,,. Madhukeshwar M. S also said is correct, dear guide Mr.Akshay. Hakka and Bukka founder of the Vijaya nagara dynasty under the guidance of vidyaranya Gurugalu in 1336 to 1485 Sangama vamsha nearly 149 years ruled by Sangama vamsha importantly krishna Deva Raya is telagu,. Sangam vamsha Hakka and Bukka family kannadigas -- J.Putta Swamy, Mysuru, Karnataka
During Krishna Deva Raya times, he captured large areas and defeated bijapur sultan and razed his capital to the ground. Defeated Golkonda sultan, and the gajapatis of current Orrisa and the bahmani sultanate never turned towards Vijayanagar empire. 35 or 36 years after Sri Krishna Deva Raya, the battle of Talikota happened. Rama Raya (the son-in-law of Krishnadeva raya) was captured and beheaded on the battlefield by the Qutub shah. This shah took refuge in Hampi a few years ago and Rama Raya helped him then. The other thing (not person) was the bijapur sultan who considered Rama Raya as his father also betrayed him. The all muslim regiment of the Gilani brothers betrayed Vijayanagara empire at the turning point which led to the capture and execution of Rama raya. There are stories about his head being paraded in ahmednagar on the anniversary of the war by the sultan. Please read about this battle as it has life lessons. Post this battle, they spent six months looting, killing, destroying Hampi. The empire Vijayanagara never regained it's glory as the supporting chieftains never united under one emperor and largely due to infighting
This is the world's richest state in 1500 th time? That's way I always saying KARNATAKA history is more powerful and strongest history in the world much more powerful than any states in India.indian Gov't must look into it...
