i skipped halfway and went back because i figured Morgan fell. but seems he got disconnected around the 800m mark, lik 2:22 into the race. i wonder if it was a shock to the legs that he wasn't expected and held back a bit. but tough going to grind a 5k like that and come away with 13:24 and 4th! amazing how he got back into it the last 800 (he was 5 seconds back with two laps to go!)
love to see morgan with that textbook kick. his goals were low for the race and he settled with running alone, had so much left at the end. cant wait to see what he does for the rest of the season, surely a pb soon as long as he stays healthy.
I was a big Morgan M fan out of Wisconsin but he's been pro now for 5 years. 13:24 may be his PB in this race but that's 24th this year in the US and not even close to competitive for Worlds. 5 Years in, he's got major work to do
he’s been pro for 3 years, he’s been injured for 2. he’s only been back running for a couple of months now. he’ll be in low 13’s shape come the olympics next year if not better.
Cooper teare ran a 13:20 at Monaco and was never in contention. Cole hocker ran a 3:32 in London this morning and took 13th. If North American middle distance runners want to compete with the current worlds best they’d be better going the route yared ngoose has taken. After centro won gold in 2016 with a 3:50 runners like Jakob and cheruiyot have shown that to win major events will require faster times.
You forgot to mention that Nguse, an American won the London Diamond League race in 3:30.44. He has a great chance of being in medal contention. The guy also ran 3:29 against Jakob.
@@moiseomri I mentioned yared has taken a different approach which has resulted him being a legitimate medal contender at worlds. Yareds choice to face more global competition has helped him surpass cole and cooper. Including the victory in London I didn’t mention.
You got to love to see Morgan back in action ❤
He judged it so well too!
Go Morgan❤
Morgan has an uncanny ability to beat guys from stanford
@@ryanchevalier2300 dude has been a pro for like 3 years he should be able to beat kids still in Stanford.
good to see his kick again, but dude has work to do 13:24 isn't competitive on the world stage, you are getting lapped in Worlds running that.
Morgan in no man’s land for soooo long. That was insane! Big things coming!
Absolutely insane timing for Morgan McDonald, sat in no man's land for so long but knew his own pace

That Irishman had such a powerful and controlled kick. If pressed, he will go faster. Fun race.

Teare & Hocker are not America's best at the moment.

Ky Robinson is over raced at this point.
