This would have to be my favourite Spanish song and performance. Definitely think it should have been in the top 5. The public only having this song in 18th place is a crime. This is one of the very few years where I think the juries got it more right than the public.
This one just gives me chills, especially THAT note.. oh my god, she's amazing! And the song builds up so nicely. Unfortunately I didn't appreciate it as much at the time in 2012, but it kept growing on me and now we're here 😂 A well deserving top 10 finish, could be even higher.

I had this in 4th place. Would have been a winner in many other years, but 2012 was so strong. Still, massive respect, hats off to Spain 2012. As others have suggested, Spain 1995 is another impressive one you'll surely like. :)
Oddly, my two favorite Spanish entries ever are Quédate Conmigo and the 1995 runner-up entry Vuelve Conmigo by Anabel Conde (now - THAT's one I would love you to react to as a one-off!). perhaps they should use the word Conmigo a little more often😃
I like this one, but I also recommend you to listen Spain 1995, Spain 1989 (the beautiful "Nacida para amar") and the "ahead of its time" weird flamenco-techno-love-it-or-hate-it Spain 1983 (better the studio version than the live one)
I think this is in my top two together with Bandido from 1990. The only thing that bother me, is that this is swedish export. I think songs should be written by their own countries songwriters and composeres. But I love Pastora and her voice.
Really pity was so bad placed 10 position. She deserved to win 😢 something offensive was Italy mainly producers ballads in Eurovision didnt give it a damm point to her 😓
I felt like Spain and Albania were in an inner competition in 2012: a battle of powerful voices and very good techniques. But Albanian song reached my heart more deeply than Spanish one. And Sweden was better than these two - not from a technique's point of view, but from staging's point of view (an original one) and song's point of view (very good). Just my opinion - a Romanian one. 🙏
She is alone on that big stage (in the beginning) and she fills that stage completely. What a big and rich voice ♥.

"Chills" pretty much sums it up. One of Spain's best.
Imagine her competing one year earlier or later. Could have won in either 2011 or 2013 imo. 2012 was just such a strong year in comparison.
