although that Castellano Madrileno accent can throw some people off a bit. The ZETA, or "theta" as they pronounce it. Its bizarre, its not used in any other Hispanophone area of the world.

The right nomination for “Spanish” is castellano (Castilian), and guess what Madrid is “Castilla” the region of Spain called “land of castles” (Castillo=castle).

Pastora Soler, no ganó Eurovision 2012, pero el mundo entero se rinde a su voz y a esta performace.
Pastora, Rona Nishliu, and Ott Lepland were all the most amazing vocalists that year. I feel like Pastora got ROYALLY SCREWED, but at least Ott and Rona got voted fairly high.

"Quedate conmigo" is written by Swedes Thomas G:son, Erik Bernholm and Swedish-Spanish Tony Sánchez-Ohlsson.
Thomas G:son has written 13 entries to Eurovision , in total he´s written 99 Eurovision Songs that has competed in national finals, for Sweden, Spain, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Georgia, Poland, Malta, Cyprus, Latvia, Romania and Belgium. Thomas G:son's most wellknown Eurovision song is "Euphoria".
Tony Sánchez-Ohlsson has co-written three songs that has competed for Spain in Eurovision (2007, 2012 and 2015), all together with G:son and others.
Erik Bernholm has also co-written three Eurovision songs, this one for Spain, Georgia´s entry from 2013 and Denmark´s entry from 2010, also together with G:son and others. He has also co-written three songs for Swedish Melodifestivalen: Jenny Silver´s "Something in Your Eyes" (2011) and Anna Bergendahl´s songs "Ashes to Ashes" (2019) and "Kingdom Come" (2020).
I wonder if Thomas' 100th penned Eurovision song will be something special or if it's just a number for him. Probably the later.
And I still can't stomach the fact that Jenny Silver was never sent to Eurovision or went far within Melodifestivalen even. Both her solo entries were great. "Something in your eyes" in particular could have fared well at the actual contest, I'm pretty sure.
@@Eisenherz Yes, I really like "Something in your eyes", and voted for it, but I feel like it might have sounded too oldfashioned and abba-esque for a lot of the other Swedish voters. The performance was also a bit cold, and not much going on on stage. Andra chansen was soo weird in 2011, Loreen didn´t make it either.
I don´t think Thomas know which of his songs will be selected for Melodifestivalen or any of the other national finals, I think he just sends in a bunch of songs each year, so he can´t select which one of them will be his 100th. But it would be cool if it would be a song like Euphoria.
