It's a good thing that you didn't want to disturb those pea plants and left the roots of your bean plants in the dirt. Because all of those beneficial mycorrhizal fungi are a part of the roots of the bean plant and if you pull them up then the benefits go with them. Same thing with sunflowers. The roots need to be in the soil over winter in order start breaking down and adding all of that beneficial goodness to your soil.
Nice seed collection! I am also leaving the rest of my beans for seed...you should ALWAYS cut the plants at the base. That way you leave food for the worms for the winter ;) They will compost everything and leave behind the castings! I have not made the grow light investment...now that I have a greenhouse, I probably won't. Glad you are better by the way!
Not trying to discourage you at all but hon, you do realize you live in Canada right? It's definitely a labor of love with you but wait till spring to start your garden or you will just waste seeds and time.......

Ooouu you are so lucky to have a green house!!! When we have our own home I’m putting that at the top of my listn
Living vicariously through your coffee right now!
cool experiment to see how long you can stretch cold tolerant crops :)
A cool experiment or maybe a desperate desire for summer to stay 😂😂😂
