Just sold my house on 12/23, and am now moved into my new Travel Trailer with my two dogs. I wish I could just get over there to Quartzite, but I have surgery on both eyes next month. So by March, everyone will be gone. Hmmm. So far, I am loving it.

So important as you stressed to make sure we pick up after ourselves on public lands and even if you have to pick up after others, it's necessary....we don't wanna loose them. Really cool tidbit about Hi Jolly, love interesting local history like that when we're traveling. Gonna do Quartzite on of these years soon. Be Well guys!

Watching what you guys choose to share each week has become a highlight. We'll be heading that way in the spring. We've lived fulltime in the past because we built our two houses that way and we've traveled for insurance adjusting. but this time it'll be for better reasons along with the added benefit of changing our surroundings each week. Oatman AZ is a fantastic stop. The old HW 66 out of Kingman is a road you can take your time on. A lot to see and learn about the miners that live in the area. A great motorcycle road. I took it in many different vehicles over the years. Many years ago there was a flat place on the east side of town big enough for a few RVs and on the south/west side is BLM. Just a neat town.

In this Video the guy on the right states that the grocery store is only open in the winter.
The Roadrunner Market is open all summer! Their prices are reasonable.if you drive 80 miles round trip to Parker or 55 miles round trip to California, or way farther to Yuma or Phoenix, you have to consider you file cost before making the trip. A lot of people here in Quartzsite for the winter have their big dually trucks and sometimes all they bring in their own little motorhome and eight miles (hopefully) to the gallon that adds up to a lot of money for gas.

Been there, done that. Full-timed in a 5th wheel for 10 years. Started out at Quartzite (first stop) and came back on a couple more occasions. We loved the desert in the winter and headed north in the summer, sometimes WorkKamping at various RV parks. We visited 47 states, missed NDakota for some reason. Enjoyed the experience, and would do it again, but 10 years was enough. I solo camp (and fish) in the summer now, primarily in south-central Utah. For my wife, it's a hotel or B&B or she doesn't go...LOL!

Tyson well by the big tent has a drygoods grocery store in a tent as well. Blythe CA is a short ride and has 2 big grocery stores ( Ca prices ) .Wally world and Safeway in Parker or a trip to Yuma has Walmart and a couple others too. Nice trip is to Lake Havasu than hit the grocery in Parker on the way back. Nice break from the dessert to see some Green and Water. Ice cream place by London bridge is a must.
Hello. Yes, there are a lot of choices if you are willing to drive for a bit. We were just at the Walmart in Parker and it was crazy busy on a Monday. However, it is a high traffic area. We love that London Bridge area. Thanks for watching and commenting! 😃❤️🚎

High Desert winds are no joke. Lived a majority of my life thus far in the So Cal High Desert (Hesperia and Apple Valley). I worked the County fire station in JT many times in my career before retirement. Winds are fierce and will blow over semi-tractor trailer rigs with surprising ease.
From JT, go to Yucca Valley via highway 62 for a great place to find stores and resources. They have a Wal-Mart there.
JT Lake Park is a popular destination for those wishing to explore JTNP.
Quartzsite is always a great winter destination, pretty much a great time for anyone who loves being outdoors, riding, hiking, etc
Btw, I have burned boot/shoe soles more than once around the campfire 😳😂

There are several places to get propane in Q. The Pit Stop is the first one that comes to mind but there are others. Pit Stop has everything you need in one stop.

Gotta get some anti squeak juice on that door, sorry my OCD kicking in. Lately I have been watching quite few youtuber video's about Quartzsite. Looks like a great time. Meanwhile been snowmobiling on warmer days in Mn. Northern woods of Mn is really beautiful right now with snow hanging in the tall pines. Several -30F degree days have kept us inside looking out. Get some shoegoo,works. Stay safe stay warm.

Like any small town most things are more expensive, just don’t have the volume for prices. It was nice the last two winters that the markets had items that were not available in many large towns. Both markets have their own meat counter.
The small town I live in Nebraska we don’t even have a market unless you count the truck stop.

My first time to Quartzsite, when I was full-timing in my vintage Airstream and selling meteorites, I stayed for 50 days! I loved it. What a fun/quirky place. And the grocery stores aren't that bad (but not that great either). I was a vendor at Tyson Wells. Great video! Haven't tuned in for a while . . .

being a resident of courtside I've driven to Parker I've never made it to Parker in 40 minutes not driving the legal speed limits. Courtside has a pharmacy and fresh produce these guys need to get their story straight for they just start in on all these little towns

Do you use an electric blanket for warmth at night? If you do is it 12 volt? How well does it work for you?
52° is too cold at night for us and I’m concerned about how long the batteries will last. I only have one 190 Watt panel on the roof and 2 lead acid group 24 batteries.

Hello. We don’t use an electric blanket, but we have heard that people do. We have sleeping bags in case it gets too cold. We actually sleep better when it’s chilly. Obviously you will have to be careful with your 2 lead acids. We appreciate you for watching and commenting! Welcome aboard! 😀
You guy's should get a diesel heater you can find diesel everywhere just to give you an idea I run my diesel heater with a 5 gallon can and did a little test on how many hours I can run it 68 and 1/2 hours of run time on 5 gallons

The Pit Stop in Quartzsite. North of the freeway on Highway 95. My be cheaper places but you can dump, fill and LP in one stop. Can be busy with the show in town.

Hi Charles! I don’t think that following the advice and guidelines of the majority of physicians and research out there is funny and old fashioned. But, we are always learning and discovering new ways of doing things. I do have the benefit of having personally seen the impact of good nutrition on hundreds of my clients. Hearing their stories of weight loss, non scale victories and having their own physicians tell them their health is improving from being on my program lets me know I am helping them to achieve their goals.
@@TheBorderHookups please listen to Dr Ken Berry. 90% of Americans are metabolically I’ll! Your so very correct that diet is the key to good health. I also know that many doctors still cling onto OLD ideas about nutrition, they will say “take metforman and watch your sugar” when all the person needs to do is slash carbohydrates to 50/60 mg per week! I have along with millions of others totally reversed my type2 diabetes, lost 50lbs and quit metforman and statins and blood pressure meds! There is a revolution in the medical community recently! Sugar causes cardiovascular disease not saturated fat! Do your research, you owe it to your clients. If Doctor Fauci showed us one thing it was don’t follow the majority of physicians and the guidelines are set by the federal government (certainly not trustworthy!) they set the food pyramid 60 years ago and the population has gotten sicker ever since! Compare the sugar amounts between skim (reduced fat) and heavy cream!

I always pick up trash at camping and fishing spots. Some people are disgusting slobs? I was in Boundary Waters in Minnesota every small island was covered w trash, paper and yes toilet paper all over the ground and metal cans in the fire ring? They Dont melt if u put in fire! I picked up trash +or burned paper? Every place i wentcwas like that? I canoed out w entire garbage bag of other people's trash!

So here's question for those that love to let their dogs run free! What's going to happen if my dog is leashed up and tied to my truck and your free roaming dog decides to invade my dogs space and my dog eats yours? I like to let my dog run also but there is a time and place for it. NOT in a place like this.

My kids were like , I aint going out in the RV. Theyre tired of being called Trailer Park Trash by friends. My older dog filed a mutiny and stopped going in the RV. Its a glorified homelessness. Gypsy's have always been outcasts in almost all societies. living out in the desert in 400 sq ft box. that just plain lazy . retired and seniors gaze in disgust.
