This was honestly the most helpful plant / succulent video I've watched. 5 months ago I impulse bought some very sad looking succulents just to try and save them, even though I had no real plant experience. I did manage to save them and they grew like crazy, but at the time the only place I could keep them that had ok light was at work. It still wasn't enough light and they etoliated. I've got a grow light at home now though and was trying to find out just how to deal with these. This was perfect, thank you so much for making this!
Very informative and answered all my questions about my leggy succulents. Nice to know they are relatively hardy and forgiving. Especially for beginners,
Ashley... I’m so happy to see you again today.. this tells me you are having. A good day and putting it to good use! I want you to know I see you as my mentor.. and am learning so much.. we are moving to Florida next week and I can’t wait to get started!!! Blessings friend!!
Nothing to apologize for; enjoyed watching you and got some really good information. Realizing I made several mistakes just last week while repotting two strawberry pots. Will know better henceforth. Thanks
I come back to you whenever I need a refresher. There are so many subtle differences in the way people do things but I like the way you explain everything and really teach instead of just skim over fast and leave off important details. You are my favorite succulent channel! Thank you, and if my succs could thank you I'm sure they would! :)
In case you're wondering, I think the unnamed succulent at 6:40 is called echeveria or sedeveria "blue elf" hybrid or something like that. This is only since I have a succulent which looks something like that.
lol I find it amusing you refer to Echeveria Lola as he when name is Lola. lol thank you for all your informative and helpful videos. Pray you are healing.
phototropism can be great for bonsai succulents. let those stone lotus jades grow, watching you cut the top hurt lulz, i have one thats about 3 foot tall and wide in a 12 inchx 4in deep bonsai pot.. so beautiful when the trunks corks
Another great video! Can you make a video on Jade plant and its care. I think I bought My variegated jade plants with root rot and it wilted and died. I have one left and I don't want it to die as well
This is fantastic! Thank you so much! "This takes awhile " how long is awhile? For the stems to sprout babies? And how /when do u cut babies off? Then do you let them callous and set on top of soil?
Aigul_ Aubanova_ I don’t have trouble with them going into bone dry soil on smaller plants like this. But our humidity is really low as well. If water propagating you definitely need to let them callous, but soil sometimes it matters sometimes it doesn’t. And for many people it’s an extremely helpful practice! In many of my other cutting videos I discus callousing and why it’s helpful etc. But it’s not always necessary if going in bone dry soil, especially if it’s been sterilized. But it never hurts to let them callous for sure, and that is my practice about 75% of the time. But in my dry rooting trays I see about the same success with fresh or calloused cuttings. And if your soil has fungus or certain spores it can save a cuttings life to let it callous and prevent that from entering the plants system. But it definitely never hurts to let them callous!
I also live in a northern climate close to northern Idaho. How do you bring your succulents out when the weather starts getting warmer? What is your process? Mine stay under lights for the winter in a cool area, but I ended up with sunburn when summer came. 😔
Shouldn’t you clean the knife or scissor so you don’t spread something from one plant to another? That was what I was lead to believe please tell me if that is incorrect. Thank you.
I cut an etiolated echeveria and left 1/2 inch of the stem in the pot. Will I need to do anything to it when it begins to show new growth or can I leave them as they grow?
Hello, Did you put the pink butterfly plant in the same tray as the other succulents? I thought that it was allelopathic so I'm curious about whether or not you've had success growing it with the others. Thanks!
Melissa LaRiviere, I only left it in that tray for a few weeks, then moved it to its own pot, so it didn’t really have time to negatively affect any of the other plants growth. But in general I don’t pot them together for more that short periods of time while rooting. 😊
They are Propagation trays with covers that I found. You can see if purchase them on Amazon here: EarlyGrow 70738 Medium Domed Propagator, 15" x 9" x 7", Black/Dark Green www.amazon.com/dp/B01BOY6Y2I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_k3T.Ab3N12GE4 💗

Great video🤩
How long after the stem dries out and I place in the soil should I water? Also, should I saturate the soil or just top spraying? Thank you very much!
You rock. Thank you for loving nature

Great video!👍
ive always been afraid to have succulents, now i will try again
Do you water the ones in the rooting tray? If so how often?
This has helped me so much!
You plant fresh cut stems right into a soil, don't you have to dry them first to callos?

I subscribed to your channel!😊😊❤️❤️
TFS😍😍🍀🍀🍀
I can't help but imagine the plants screaming in torture to her wonderful and calm voice.
After you stick the fresh cut stem into the dry soil how long before you would water them? Thank you
Hi Ashley! May I ask which country are you planting those cause it had been hard for me to keep mine alive in Singapore, a tropical island.
Happened to watched your video.. what soil mixture used and where you buy your terra-cotta pots...
Hi ! What is the name of the succulent a 7.00 ? I have the same, also streched and i could not find his name.... THX
Thanks for the video! not long at all. How long do those cuttings on the tray take to root?
When do you start watering them?
Shouldn’t you clean the knife or scissor so you don’t spread something from one plant to another? That was what I was lead to believe please tell me if that is incorrect. Thank you.

I am also from NI, CDA but have had zero success in propagating from leaves. Is it better to put the leaves in the dark
You don't let the ends dry out before re-planting in the propagation tray?

What is allelopathic?
I'm having a hard time reproducing my succulents because Colorado is so dry, do you have any tips? tnx!
Great!!❤️
Tell me in detail about the
Soil used for succulent
What kind of trays are those that you're planting the stems into?

Ashley Glassman / Succulent Alchemy Great, thank you!
I saw a frog jump on the table.🐵🐒🦍👽👽🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🦕🦖
ID of the succulent at 15:00?
how come no callous time?
do you water them first before beheading to store more water in their leaves so they'll last longer during propagation?
Horrible noise when you pull the pots
Do you rotate your plants? Seems like you have a huge issue with tilting that rotating could fix
안녕하세요👍👍♥
Where did you get the flat pots? I really want them!
Bianca A, I got these planting trays on Amazon! They are great! Not sure how this comment got lost, but it did. Sorry I’m 3 months late replying! 🙏🏻❤️
Do u keep these plants inside?
In the summer most of these guys are outside, in the winter indoors. 😉
PLEASE don't drag your pots across the table in the grit, it is like nails on a blackboard....terrible noise.
I enjoyed watching, very entertaining, thanks for sharing❤️
