Oh my goodness Carolyn… YOU are one of the sweetest! 😭 Thank you so much for always being so so encouraging and kind on every video and project I share. I appreciate you and your support and I’m so glad that you loved the way this space turned out 🥹❤️
It looks so good! All project “fails” turned out to be absolute blessings if you ask me! The bench does have an antique vibe and I love the look! You did a great job, now you can sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labor 💕
Aww thank you! I do think it turned out very well considering all the “fails” haha 🤣 We are definitely enjoying this new space everyday! Thank you so much for watching ☺️❤️
Thanks Abby 😭 It’s not totally perfect but I do love how it turned out 🥹. And the light fixture was definitely a fun surprise addition that I would have never imagined!
I was so thrilled to see this. This has been a lot of work and stress for you. It looks beautiful. So elegant and functional too. I am so glad you are happy with the results and it makes it feel like home. Just in time for the fall and christmas season!
Aww thank you! 😭❤️ It’s been a little stressful at times 😅 but also really truly fun to put together and I’m so glad you love the way it turned out! ☺️ and yesssss you better believe it made me so excited for a Christmas table!!!! Eeeppp!
@@brookedonnellyliving What I love about your home is that you are not out buying hundreds of new decor every season and you are a true creative. You love to create new things. I love to be inspired by creative people.😊 I am on instagram but haven’t posted for a long time due to health reasons. I may be sharing my fall decor soon. If so I will try and tag you so u can see my house. We live in an old farmhouse in rural PA. My husband and I have worked on it for many years. I love creating as well and people seem to like my home when they come over. It is just truly so fulfilling to create a room or new looks with seasonal things.
@julielefevre4184 oh my goodness that means so much to me!!!!! I really do try to use what I have first before buying a bunch of new stuff ( both because it’s fun and also…. Who can afford all the new stuff?! 🤣) but thank you so much for appreciating my lil home 🥹😭❤️ Yes PLEASE either tag or send me photos when you get the chance to post them I would love to see 🥰❤️
@@brookedonnellyliving ok! I am older than you.😊😊which means I am not the best at technology. But I will try and tag you or something when I have something new to share.😊
Aww thank you so much! That’s exactly what I was going for was a beautiful blend of the old and new! And the rug really was the perfect colors for this space ( and so affordable too! ) Thank you so much for watching, I hope you have an awesome rest of your week too!
It is beautiful! Every detail compliments one another. You’ve done a fantastic job with this space. Now relax and have a nice celebratory dinner in your new dining room! And thank you to Josh for his contributions and support! I’m truly happy for you!
Thank you so much! I honestly couldn’t believe how well the chairs turned out since I was kinda just experimenting with them, but they are exactly what I wanted 🥹❤️
Happy accident right?! While I’m partial to a bare table because it’s more practical, the tablecloth does definitely add a softness to the dining room, and I think it’s perfect for the upcoming cozy months! ☺️❤️
Wow 🤩 it all came together!! 🤎🖤 the bench turned out great!! And that rug is chefs kiss 🤌🏽 you did a wonderful job Brooke, I know y’all are going to make such beautiful memories in this space. PS INGENIOUS finding that light switch fix! How do you find the best solutions for such unique problems?!
Thank you so much! I was real worried about that bench for a minute haha 🤣 but it wound up turning out just fine thank goodness 😅 And as far as weird solutions and problems… lots of google and amazon searches haha 😂 🤣🤣
I hope it works for you! It takes a little playing around with the sander and then restaining but I was able to even it out a good bit. It does still look a little rustic though just so you know!
Thank you so much! ☺️❤️ I have the exact rug linked for you in the description ☺️ But if you have any issues finding it let me know! And for reference I used the 9x12 size in this space!
Aww thank you so much! ☺️❤️ I’m excited too 🥰 And I got the dress off Amazon earlier this year and I LOVE it! Its so comfy and soft ❤️ I’ll leave the link below for you! But if you decide to grab just know it it’s VERY oversized and I kinda wish I had gone down a size. rstyle.me/+dp-tzTPPfuRrp5ErO70BHA
Okay so I sealed it with a clear matte top coat so the color is sealed but it still looks rough and I had actually thought about adding wax to it too to make it feel even more like worn and smooth and used so I think I’m definitely gonna do this now!
I have been watching your videos regarding the dining room from the beginning. Love everything you did I just have two questions. Why did you cover the table with a white table cloth when you spent so much time changing the color and painting the legs of the bench black would have looked beautiful
Thank you for watching the dining room series! So in the last video when I was refinishing the dining table it turned out TERRIBLE, and was a big epic fail so I decided then to just get a beautiful tablecloth for now so I could live with it till I figured out what I wanted to try next. And then for the bench you are right that painting the legs black would have also looked great, but I just really wanted the wood tones and to break up all the other black from the chairs and cabinets so when I had the opportunity to stain them I did ☺️
It is so beautiful, the kind of thing you would see in a magazine....and we appreciate all the hard work you've made!!! Love it!!!
Aww thank you so much! That is the biggest compliment! I’m so glad you loved how it turned out! ☺️❤️
Its lovely! You can feel the warmth... Well done!!!-Be proud of your effort!!!! Jennifer
Aww thank you Jennifer! I’m very happy and proud of how it turned out and I’m glad you like the result too 🥹❤️
Absolutely GORGEOUS!!
Thank you!!!! I’m glad the reveal didn’t disappoint! ☺️❤️
Brooke, you are one of the sweetest people on UA-cam. The chairs and the cabinets look fabulous. Congratulations on finishing the dining room.

It’s so beautiful!!! Definitely my favorite makeover you’ve ever done!! I can’t get over the impact that those cabinets have made❤❤❤
Oh my goodness thank you!!! 😭😭😭 and YES! By far the cabinets made the biggest impact to this space!!!!

I’m so glad you love it! 🥹❤️
There were definitely some moments of chaos haha 🤣 but I think it was all worth it ☺️❤️
Elegant‼️. The dark green foliage looks great with the new wall unit. Give yourself a pat on the back. You should be proud, I’m happy for you.
That was a last minute decision! But I had them and thought that it would look pretty and I’m glad I used them. Thank you so much for watching ☺️❤️
It so beautiful your dining room!! You should be very proud of your accomplishment 👏👏👏👏😍😍

I love the dining room!
Aww yay!!!! I’m so glad you love it! 😆
I really love the tablecloth instead of a bare table!
Happy accident right?! While I’m partial to a bare table because it’s more practical, the tablecloth does definitely add a softness to the dining room, and I think it’s perfect for the upcoming cozy months! ☺️❤️
You did a beautiful job!!!! 😍

Absolutely lovely ❤
Thank you so much Debra! 🥰
Everything is so gorgeous!!
Aww thank you!! I know it may be a bit darker and moodier than some might like but I love it and I’m so glad you love it too 🥰❤️❤️
Wow!! So pretty!! And the stain issue? I did the same on my dresser. But now I have a solution! Thank you!!
I hope it works for you! It takes a little playing around with the sander and then restaining but I was able to even it out a good bit. It does still look a little rustic though just so you know!
Use fine steelwool or sandpaper before you add the wax, it will give you a buttery smooth finish!
Great tip! Thank you so much!!!
Loved it ❤
I’m so glad ! Thank you so much for watching and following along with this makeover ☺️❤️
So, so pretty!! It is very elegant.
I love the rug!! Please post the name of the rug!
Don't you just love happy mistakes?
Congrats!! Great job!
Thank you so much! ☺️❤️ I have the exact rug linked for you in the description ☺️ But if you have any issues finding it let me know! And for reference I used the 9x12 size in this space!

Hey there! Thank you so much for watching!!! ☺️❤️
Add wax to seal the bench, it will give it the old hand rubbed look of an antique instead of poly.
Okay so I sealed it with a clear matte top coat so the color is sealed but it still looks rough and I had actually thought about adding wax to it too to make it feel even more like worn and smooth and used so I think I’m definitely gonna do this now!
