Probably someone already informed you that Stray Kids had a survival show and at some point Lee Know and Felix were eliminated but later they returned to the band.
My 4 yr old will walk past me and just go 'YOOOO!' then walk away like she didn't say a word 😂😂 She loves Changbin so much.

Actually that is another ep, the one op used was during their early days (around 2018/19 can't rmbr which). Only changbin did the reading :)
To be fair, Changbin had to read it cold, Seungmin heard it twice and had time to read through before he had to say it.
He was still impressive, but it did (eventually) occur to me that it was easier for Seungmin.
I think it needs to be said that Lee Know is also the second/dance leader of SKZ that Chan has entrusted to help lead the kids when Chan isn't around and also helps them all learn the dances. Chan even says Lee Know helps him and acts the same way to him and the kids when he messes up, lol. Chan and Lee Know are essentially the parents of the Kids (which is why they have jokingly say mom or little mom to Lee Know.)
Also, Lee Know donates a shit ton to many, many organizations. He's funding kids in Africa, endangered animals, cats, safety pins for everyone/LGBTQ+/depression, etc. The man is a saint.

Agreed because Bang chan himself choose Lee know to be their dance leader of SKZ to share the burden because Lee know has more experiences in dancing and Bang Chan also said that he can be at ease when Lee Know is leading them in their choreography making. I really love their relationship with each members ❤
at 2:50 as someone said previously, it is a scene from their survival show. It has 10 episodes and really goes through their struggles and hard work to be able to debut together as 9 ( the former member Woojin has now long left Stray Kids) Felix and lee know were eliminated but were brought back at the end. this show was a roller coaster of emotions. I respect these boys so much

I just blows my mind that JYP originally cut Felix and Lee Know from the group, and Hyunjin was also on the line several times. I highly recommend any Stay watch the episodes (the Eng Translation version was shared on UA-cam and the survival show was just called 'Stray Kids" ). The remaining SKZ members seemed so deflated and leaving them out would have been such a terrible mistake. Fans were not happy and JYP brought them back. I loved seeing how they created their songs and their early perfomances as trainees during the show. that clip of felix crying was from their pre-debut survival show called “stray kids”, long story short felix got eliminated and was not going to be a part of stray kids

For your Changbin Bias, Never Ending Story was written solely by Changbin. It is a vocal ballad though written for a Kdrama, but you can appreciate that Changbin can also write other genres (with rap of course. It’s still a Stray Kids song)

Felix got eliminated to not be a member of the band. Chan then said this to felix.
I love how you made it a point to start saying “in the building” in all your stray kids reaction videos because of Seungmin like you didn’t start THIS video with “alright my Stays in the building” (I remember cause I initially thought you were doing a Seungmin impression at first, only to realize it was accidental)
The way he is so in love with stray kids it makes me so happy💓 and the love he has for changbin is so pure and cute
To explain the part where Chan and Felix are crying, this was during the survival show. Lee Know had gotten eliminated a few episodes prior, it was horrible for all of them, it meant that Lee Know wouldn't be able to debut with them. After that, Felix got eliminated, and we can see Bang Chan comforting Felix. Thankfully Lee Know and Felix ended up being brought back and they were able to debut together. Hope this helps !

As many of the comments have said, yes, two members were eliminated from the group during their "survival show"... Personally, I believe the reason they were both brought back was due to the fact that the 3RACHA members had formed truly UNDENIABLE bonds with them. Changbin and BangChan with Felix, and Han with Lee Know. I'm absolutely positive that behind the scenes of the whole thing, 3RACHA Made it clear to JYP that removing them from the group was not in his best interest. That's why, I believe, he brought them both back. You don't want 3RACHA to hate you.
People forget, that survival show wasn't like others. It wasn't a competition to see who joined the group. The group already existed and was, if I'm not mistaken, the first kpop group to have formed themselves. So it was unprecedented, and thats not a word companies are comfortable with in Kpop.
I think JYP just had an issue with letting go of the fact that with them, he wasn't going to have any control. Not in the members, the music, the concept, the style or anything else. (Heck, he didn't even have a say in their name! They did that too! BangChan even hand designed their logo! Lol) So there's a really high probability that he thought doing the survival show would do that. All under the guise of the group being so big, and him simply wanting to "make sure" the members BangChan chose were ready for debute. 🙄
Some people say it was all fake, but I know real emotion when I see it. Not to mention, Changbin STILL hates JYP for that BS. Yes, the show is so edited and the drama so staged that it is "fake". However i do believe they did try to remove members, since that was the whole point of the show. And I'm confident it was all about the company's need for control.

Yes, Chan did pick the members, but that was only with the company's blessing. Chan got to decide who he wanted, JYPE got to decide if they would sign off on that.
I think they really were worried if Felix's Korean at that point was sufficient; particularly as it regards signing/rapping it effectively for a Korean audience. As for Leeknow, he came in the strongest dancer -JYPE didn't really have to teach him anything. BUT he hadn't had vocal training and Chan tapped him before he could season into the Trainee system - our brilliant Leader spotting raw talent and potential. :) To be fair, other members also had things they needed to work on. It's to be expected. They were literally teens, and I definitely don't think the concerns with Lix and Leeknow, especially given their strengths - even then, warranted the elimination.
I think JYPE was honest that seeing Felix and Leeknow keep practicing after elimination was a point in their favour. Plus - I absolutely agree that Chan especially, as the leader, pushed for them to be reinstated. But he and the rest didn't have the single handed power to make one of kpop's big3 companies afraid of them or just do what they wanted. The company was taking a gamble, trying something new, to see, I would guess, if the group would gel better and bring a different flavour if they were not picked by executives but a fellow trainee, who they in turn would have to trust and choose to join as well. It was a good gamble, paid off spectacularly. But they couldn't know that at the time. It also helped that viewers connected with all the members and lobbied and voted for their return. Afterall the company needs idols that people connect with. I think it's all the factors, not one, that ultimately made the decision.
Well, yeah. Of course there were other "reasons" they came up with for why they removed them. You can find a reason to not debute any idol trainee out there if you want. But the ones they had, they immediately backed out of all at once. That made no sense. Lol
So I was just giving my opinion on why they would go through all the trouble of the show, only to remove and then return BOTH of them. Why would you do that? Truly, why? There's plenty of idol survival shows that voted off favorites and the public was livid. They didn't hand those members back and give in. Plus, the outcry was mostly for Felix. Chan (and Changbin) were mostly about Felix... Yet he also brought back Lino. (Not that they didn't adore him too! But it was obvious what hurt who more. No one loves evenly. That's just how it is, that was real. That's perfectly fine.) Which is why I feel that Han must have taken a similar stance for him. It's the only thing that makes sense to me.
They ended up putting out a survival show full of MNET style fake drama, having not made the group smaller or removed anyone who wasn't ready. They just put them through hell. Yes, they perhaps motivated them to be ready for a rough debute and early career. But... that wasn't at all normal, you gotta admit. Lol I guess everyone is going to have different opinions on why, this was mine.
I do believe that 3RACHA had a LOT to do with it. This company was failing with boy groups left and right, and they obviously saw the potential these guys had. Otherwise they wouldn't have let them make a group with the end goal being for them to continue doing everything themselves. They couldn't have afforded to lose them, straight up. And the fact that BangChan made that promise to Felix? Yeah, you don't do that unless you feel you have the power to make it happen.
This is a job, like any other. When employees are valuable... their employer will work to keep them. They haven't debuted another boy group since them until JUST recently. They didn't have anyone to replace them with, definitely not anyone with nearly as much to offer. Add to that the whole Got7 thing. He literally couldn't lose these guys. I believe 3RACHA knew that. Have you seen how Changbin talks about JYP outright at times? Lol I would say thats a man with job security. Then again, it's like I said, just my opinion.

@@ReapingWillow As a fellow Stay I dont want this to become like a long debate between us both in this comment section, especially since the most obvious answer is "none of us really know". Maybe you're right 🤷🏾♀️ but I just don't see right now how the arguments stand up.
It feels like you are conflating present realities with what pertained then.
For example - despite Han & Leeknow's closeness now and the nice tv moment of Han holding his hand, with leeknow's heartfelt thanks for that, it was Seungmin Leeknow was closest to pre-debut. The show editing didnt show us that. The kids' later stories did.
Chan told Felix "always seek me out, I'll never leave you behind". That simply says 'I will always be here for you", not a declaration of Chan's "power" in the company and ability to keep him in that group. Also, it was not 3racha that jype entrusted the group to, it was Chan, only; because of how long he had been there, the responsibility he had shown and how much knowledge he must have soaked up. Like, you dont have to convince me 3racha is the best thing since slice bread. I am all on board that train. But back in 2017 it was all potential, not power, and that company was not cowering in fear of them.
When employees are valuable 'smart' companies will work to keep them. Many a valuable employees have found themselves mistreated and even let go, or forced to quit cause companies don't value them as much as they should. But your take is the alternate reality I would love to live in, no lie.
One final thing. Bang Chan chose his members based on personality, individual talent, their potential and how they complemented the others. There were other trainees he was even closer to at the time, by his own account, who he did not pick for SKZ. He very early decided Leeknow would be dance leader, so we see how much he valued him. So again I would ask that we remember the show only gave us a snippet of all the members real dynamics and, played up some for drama. So dont be so tied to these modern (forgive the expression) ship dynamics, to explain who meant what to who, then or even now. I am willing to bet he would have equally passionately wanted to keep the guy who was a professional dancer already (remember: employed bts backup dancer on their world tour).
If Chan (or 3racha) was so powerful then...then what of now, with all the achievements behind their name? And why, with that power are they (like most other idols) being overworked, made to work with near debilitating injuries, live in those quite frankly crappy dorms for so many years, and given very little freedom to express themselves publicly? You do realise how much they have to sensor themselves on sns, right? Like most other idols? Chan had to go behind company back to make an apology on bubble when they wouldnt send out a formal one, and there was a clear sns silence from him for a little while after. None of them could say Hyunjin's name during his hiatus. You think if they had the power Any SKZ member would allow that? And this is years after debut, when they have proven that the gamble was worth it. I think a lot of Stays are mistaking musical freedom with control over other aspects of their career and freedom/power in the company. And that is why I cant wait till the end of their contract when they get to negotiate a new, better one, with more power/control written in. OR go form 3racha entertainment with SKZ as the first and vip group (my personal dream for them😊)
Let me wrap this up by saying, whatever the motivation, Thank God and all the angels they kept Felix and Leeknow. SKZ needed them, like it needed Chan, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Seungmin and I.N. Every member brings something unique to the table, are all invested in the same dream, and all generally root for each other. They are the perfect mix.
You two are both right. I think 3ratcha and the fans were pushing to get LeeKnow and Felix back. Also remember that IN would have wanted LeeKnow back too as a dance leader. But I don’t think the relationship between SKZ and JYP is as adversarial as everyone thinks. Chan would be crazy not to cooperate just for JYP’s promoting power and JYP has hit on a winning combo by letting Chan have a lot of leeway. I think they are working together. If JYP throws out something the Kids hate then they probably compromise and vice versa. As far as overworking the kids, I think the blame for that is on the kids themselves. Chan had surgery and then did Chan’s room on the same day. LeeKnow did MCing then flew across the ocean for KCon. As far as not mentioning Hyunjin during his hiatus, I’m sure the advice from the company was to let them investigate first then make a stand on the truth (which they all ready knew from Hyunjin). Can the company be unreasonable? Sure but I think Chan is able to get what he wants most times because he is grateful to JYP’s help and shows the company respect.

The emotional part with Felix & BangChan at the beginning was when Felix got eliminated from the survival show. Lee Know also got eliminated. However, both of them were brought back later on.
Why Felix Cried:
They had to go through a survival show where they had to prove their talent to the company in oder to be placed in a group to debut.
Felix and Lee know was deemed not ready to debut by the director in the middle of the show and had to leave the show and the group. The elimination of them was very emotional; we would love you to watch the whole thing to be frank, and you'll see how talented, hard-working, family-like these boys are.
Yes, Felix and Lee know were eventually put back in the group in the last EP and so Stray Kids was born!
Alright I should just say this after 5 minutes and 4 second watching it, this man (Hi Teddy 😃) really show how genuine , real reaction he had and I really love every detail that he mention in every single member introduction. Kudos! 🖤
Thank you. This was a fun clip sweet nd short. LOL The first part with Bang Chan is the reality elimination show called Stray Kids where they had to prove they had what it takes to debut as a stray kids. Any of the members could be eliminated. In fact Lee know was eliminated for forgetting his lines while performing, in a very early episode i think 3 or 4 and then Felix was later I think in ep 8 or 9 because of his lack of the Korean language. Lee know was the first and a shock to all of them more than upset but when Felix was eliminated all the tears were flowing from every member. Not saying or comparing I just think they didn't expect it and the feeling of shock was more prominent than when Felix was eliminated. Because of this I think this created a bond between Felix and Lee Know because they went through something similar and why Lee Know being the older brother he loves to protect Felix. I don't think Bang Chan would let it stand not to have either one especially his Aussie bro.. So as you can see they were both brought back for a 2nd chance to prove them self's and all 9 of them made it. I really think JYP wanted to create more drama on the series and why he had them eliminated. More drama meant more people were talking about them. The Seungmin in the building was for sure a big thing n their first world tour. Now his brothers all say it to joke with him. In one interview recently member announced their name and that they were in the building. It is a running joke. LOL Love to see you react to the songs in this vide. Wow was writing by dance racaha and they only have fan videos from their concert showing them dancing and singing the song from their first tour. Never Ending Story is a live performance and the song is an OST. The live performance is one of my favorite songs where they showcase their vocals mostly but you do have some rap. not much but it is still good. Again and Again live performance of a cover song by 2pm (Which is an older JYP male group) . The performance was part of the reality elimination show performance. The first rap song during Bang Chans was Zone by 3Racha. One of their first rap songs. I think there is a video out there in skz player or skz record.

Stray Kids did a reality show pre debut. It was called Stray Kids. Basically JYP put them through a serious of tests to see if each member was ready to debut and if they could debut as a whole group. First Lee Know was eliminated. Then Felix was eliminated. The reason for Felix's elimination honestly pisses me off. It was because he was still learning Korean and he struggled quite a bit so they eliminated him for not being fluent enough in the language which isn't ok. Because he can learn. And he fucking did! But they brought them back at the end and they all debuted together. So that scene with Chan and Felix was 100% real. He said "always find me, I'm not going to leave you behind" to Felix. I watched it for the first time a few months ago (knowing Felix is obviously in the group now) and I still cried like a damn baby. Seeing him so heartbroken is something I never want to see again!

Tortoise and Hare--YES! Loved your first reaction to that. So if your tier/analysis video is 4 hours, break it up into "part 1" "Part 2" etc as needed. Lots of precedent.
Re: Chan+Felix in tears--I just re-watched their pre-debut survival show. All episodes are now on youtube with eng subs. It is amazing to watch them making songs, making and learning choreo, rehearsing and performing at a time when Lee Know and Felix had both been training for less than a year. They often have a countdown up in the corner of the screen, like "6 days to YG Battle" to let you know how quickly they had to do all this stuff. Most viewers find themselves in tears at some point, especially the elimination and reunion episodes.
I've heard opinions that the eliminations were "fake", just to create drama, but if so, it is really clear that none of the members were told--their emotion is real, and very hard to watch. Since most such shows do have several eliminations and such eliminations are usually final, I personally believe there was a real chance that Felix and Lee Know might not have been allowed to debut with Skz. I do agree with someone who commented that it was partly that JYP felt as if he had to mess with the line-up to have some say. To me that would be normal behavior for someone who has spent decades putting together groups and soloists in a very cut-throat environment. He has a lot of experience with what works, but Skz is one of those groups that succeeds by breaking the norms. This is always very uncomfortable for those whose job it is to try to predict and foster success.
To his credit, in the last episode JYP did bow to the fact that the synergy of Skz is what makes them special. In the last episode you can see him struggling to justify his decision to keep the whole group together. He really was not sure this was the right decision, apparently there was very strong advice from others in the company in favor of the eliminations. I'd also remind folks that this is one of the few survival shows where those eliminated were ever given a real chance to return. Did anyone watch the Monsta X survival/formation show? It's way worse and based on what I've read I have no desire to watch the Twice formation show.. At the end of the day JYP didn't stick his heels in and say "I'm the boss, I'm the expert, if you want to debut, you'll put up with my decisions". He had the insight and courage to make a decision that went against all his hard-earned experience and instincts, and I really do give him credit for that. Both Chris and Felix have expressed gratitude to him for that more than once.
