A funny thing that I definitely wanted to include, because it doesn't say it in the subtitles and I think it's hilarious: These two lines don't match in the lyrics because of the adlibs in the first one and are explaining two different hand movements: "Index finger (thumb), middle finger (index finger), ring finger, pinky, what? Du du du du du is referencing gods menu which some people would just say “oh stray kids are back with their noise” The headache is referencing side effects where they say 머리 아프다 (meori apeuda) which means I have a headache or more directly my head hurts. Which got a lot of hate for once again being “noise” and not “actual music” The magpies and pigeons are from gods menu again they got hate for this particular lyric because people didn’t understand why it was in the song and “seemed out of place” but the lyric was a metaphor for even people that are just passing by or casual listeners that don’t really listen to kpop would be satisfied with Stray kids music And the crow cawing is in reference to their song awkward silence which some people didn’t take seriously because it was a very different side of skz and was much more goofy and “childish” and they got hate for that You’re right this whole song is one giant fuck you to the haters and if this had been the first song you ever listened to it would make absolutely no sense without the backstory or knowing about the hate they get and it’s honestly one of my favorite songs because it’s such a a big fuck you. This CHEESE was a song made to make fun of the haters (diss track essentially) and also to show the haters that they don't matter and that Stray Kids are going to keep doing what they want to do no matter what.

I'll explain some of the stuff in the song: dududu is funny: people has always dragged god's menu for being noisy, and was called "construction music" (which they also made fun of in GM video) headache is funny: side effects was also dragged a lot back in 2019, and if you remember well, theres this part that says "meori apuda" which translates to "my head hurts". side effects talks about the consequences of pursuing their dream, but ofc twitter stans dragged the song for the loud noise. whats funny about A class vibes: this has various meanings but the one i saw was skz referring to their music build from 0, no samples taken, no other producers involved. A class compositions means all the song and lyrics were made by them, not from someone else. index, middle and ring finger: while they are singing this part, han is saying ad libs on the back, which form the word "middle finger up". translators had to check this twice but confirmed that it can be heard like it, so its a fck u to haters haha Deep in some parts of the MV: Han and the dinosaur: han made a joke about watching hours and hours of documentaries about reptiles, and also, he's scared of dinosaurs, so hes referring to that seungmin in IG live with eternal viewers: all eyes on skz, on what they're doing no matter if youre a fan or not you're watching them thousands of post its in the rom: a metaphor to all the things they are told, and also, looks like cheese slides, so s brilliant i think thats all. thanks for reacting!

Du du du du du is referencing gods menu which some people would just say “oh stray kids are back with their noise”
The headache is referencing side effects where they say 머리 아프다 (meori apeuda) which means I have a headache or more directly my head hurts. Which got a lot of hate for once again being “noise” and not “actual music”
The magpies and pigeons are from gods menu again they got hate for this particular lyric because people didn’t understand why it was in the song and “seemed out of place” but the lyric was a metaphor for even people that are just passing by or casual listeners that don’t really listen to kpop would be satisfied with Stray kids music
And the crow cawing is in reference to their song awkward silence which some people didn’t take seriously because it was a very different side of skz and was much more goofy and “childish” and they got hate for that
You’re right this whole song is one giant fuck you to the haters and if this had been the first song you ever listened to it would make absolutely no sense without the backstory or knowing about the hate they get and it’s honestly one of my favorite songs because it’s such a a big fuck you. If I’m correct there was a video somewhere at a concert where during the part where they say fold your index, middle, ring, and pinkie finger (to make a thumbs up) I think it was Han that said fold your thumb, index, ring and pinkie finger (to hold up a middle finger) to really say FUCK YOU I saw it somewhere a while back but omg that video was soo funny.

So CHEESE is a song made for all the Stary Kids haters. The first line is asking the haters why they thought the DU-Du-Du in God's menu was funny and why they were making fun of it. Many haters also made fun of Side Effects which is where the next line about the headache comes from. The line in Side Effects translates to " My head hurts" or headache. This CHEESE was a song made to make fun of the haters (diss track essentially) and also to show the haters that they don't matter and that Stray Kids are going to keep doing what they want to do no matter what.

This is one of my favorites just because it's so hype and it's SO confident. Its Also SO GOOD LIVE. I got to see them in Newark and this song is pure hype for them and energy for the crowd.

came late to comment this buuut... cheese is indeed, a fck u song. it has a lot of word play, inside jokes and things that make us STAY think that they actually see some of the hate they get specially on twitter. However, they made this song as a hint for haters, like they won't stop making this kind of music and that bad criticism doesnt affect them. I'll explain some of the stuff in the song:
dududu is funny: people has always dragged god's menu for being noisy, and was called "construction music" (which they also made fun of in GM video)
headache is funny: side effects was also dragged a lot back in 2019, and if you remember well, theres this part that says "meori apuda" which translates to "my head hurts". side effects talks about the consequences of pursuing their dream, but ofc twitter stans dragged the song for the loud noise.
whats funny about A class vibes: this has various meanings but the one i saw was skz referring to their music build from 0, no samples taken, no other producers involved. A class compositions means all the song and lyrics were made by them, not from someone else.
index, middle and ring finger: while they are singing this part, han is saying ad libs on the back, which form the word "middle finger up". translators had to check this twice but confirmed that it can be heard like it, so its a fck u to haters haha
Deep in some parts of the MV:
Han and the dinosaur: han made a joke about watching hours and hours of documentaries about reptiles, and also, he's scared of dinosaurs, so hes referring to that
seungmin in IG live with eternal viewers: all eyes on skz, on what they're doing no matter if youre a fan or not you're watching them
thousands of post its in the rom: a metaphor to all the things they are told, and also, looks like cheese slides, so s brilliant
