Great playthrough, many thanks! Except for a slight but potentially critical mistake at 27:31 That's because Blue moving into the pit immediately triggers both monsters (being them adjacent to one another, the one "seeing" Blue attacks first, hitting and triggering the other), resulting in Orange being hit while Blue is safe. I also believe one of the 3 tiles you should have discarded in this case was a key!
27:30, doesn't the blue move trigger the wax eater, which then chains into the other wax eater, and subsequently hits orange? Green also missed placing a tile on the top edge at 36:30. A clarifying question as well, does the double movement using a Nerve trigger tile placement as you run through the first tile? If so, a tile placement was missed with orange at 36:50 as well.
Late to the party. Just purchased this game. Lost horribly in solo mode :) Great video and excellent play through - thank you. This game is really great. Draws me in as it gives off a kind of 'The Descent' movie vibe - the wax-eaters take on a whole other creep level. All the best.
I'm curious. at minute 21:47 couldn't you have placed one of the monster tiles at the top of the board since the path led to the other side of the board? Granted, one of the monsters would still have been in a position to strike, but had you played it to your left then then the gate tile would have been safe. True, when either you are Frances had moved one of you would have been hit by one monster, but not all of you by both. Seems the best option would have been for green to dive in the pit and Frances to take the hit as she has a key already. Just a thought from what I understand of the rules you have explained.
I thought this looked intriguing but doesn't it come down to luck about when the keys come out? Or is there something in setup same for the top 8 cards that the bottom X cards can't be keys?
Always enjoy your run throughs thank you! This one seems interesting but not for my tastes. p.s. congrats to both of you (3:43) 😉 I’m not on any social media if it’s been out (I’m hoping 😬)
Maybe I misunderstood something but it appears that the wrapping discussion (and tile placement) caused confusion such that the first orange move only laid one tile instead of the two allowed.
Great video! At the end of the video, though, you didn't give your usual "thoughts" on the game and ended with "that's all we can really talk about" ... is there a reason for that?
@@AntLabGames understood ... I guess I'm so used to and look forward to "thoughts" on your review videos that it didn't even occur to me why it wasn't here :)
Great video and congrats on winning :) As much as I like the smooth mechanics and theme, I feel like it is usually kind of obvious what will be the most reasonable move in a given situation. Meaning there is not much room for satisfying combos or strategies, because the strategy/luck ratio leans heavily on the luck side. I'm aware that this is not supposed to be a heavy game, but it could mean that one will tire of the game after just a handful of plays (at least with the easy setup). That is my initial impression anyway, would love to see a playthrough of the advanced/hard setup!
Love how authentic you guys are! And this video helped a lot, some stuff was kind of confusing haha

Thanks for the playthrough. I love watching your playthroughs, It helps when I am on the fence with backing or purchasing a game. :)
Great job! Super presentation!
At 22:00 couldn't you put that second monster at the top of the board? Didn't you need to draw a third tile anyway? Interesting looking game.
Yeah they missed that

Thanks for sharing. An excellent play through. Winning on the last turn.
Great video! Great game play! And again, congratulations on imminent parenthood! :-)
Joust was an excellent game! It was the first video game my Dad became addicted to and I'm in my forties. He would play for hours.
This looks cool. Definitely on my wish list now
Looks really intriguing!

I saw this as well. I think they just missed it.
Great play-through. Thanks!
Joust was one of my favorite games, I loved the lava hand that would reach up and grab you : ]
Joust rules! Great preview!
Great video!! Thanks for sharing it with your community. - Curt
While you were playing along the bottom of the map shouldn't you have been putting tiles on the top row?
Yeah, they missed that at 22:00
Green meeple should have received at key at the top of 3rd column at that moment instead of discard
just picked this up used today

At 30:08 you do not fall, you immediately scramble to a new tile.

3:43 is about the candle tray
I think he's referring to her rubbing her belly rather than the candle.
that was pretty fun

Looking closer, I see no other move is possible to extend the path (from the the player's square). Is that why?
thanks
And this was the easy setup? Wow I can only imagine the advanced / hard versions.

We do not review games on Kickstarter. Wouldn't really be fair since the game is still in development. This goes for all of our Previews.

No no se no se no no no
The monster will swap with a placed tile, if you STAY and it is revealed.
When is this game available for purchase. I looked on a few sites and could not find it.
Never mind. Just backed it on Kickstarter.
Completely off gaming topic, did I miss an announcement? The way Frances is rubbing her belly reminds me of my sister when she was pregnant?
They should make a boardgame based on the movie "The Cube". Just throwing that out there.
incomprehensible. Suggest next time you present an overview first, we need some frame of reference to follow.
