Marlin, Mahimahi, bucket list location - Tauranga NZ

Fishing out of Tauranga aboard Striker fishing charter.
We have amazing fishing with a storm approaching, getting the knibs from a variety of bucket list fish. I was lucky enough to be up for 2 of the bites having the chance to land a Mahimahi (Dorado), and fight a Marlin which I thought was a Stripey.
I appreciate having the chance to fish with some of the Catch legends, showing me how they do things.
The boat was playing music in tue background so I ended up editing this one into a Montage.

We never really made white, we were heading there but 2 battles with marlin and having to run one back to port changed our plans.

dont forget to bleed the bluenose, the fillets look and taste way better...

Cheers bro, I know what you mean. We did bag our bluenose up pretty quick. Ive had some in the past smell like amonia almost just from sitting in the bin overnight. Dont do that with deep sea fish anymore.👊🏾
