I think my only irritation (and a lot of content creators do this) is that she was going into a new phase of her life that everyone knows requires more dedication and attention, but she thought she could keep both going, or maybe she/they know it will affect it, they just think its better to not say anything to their audience because the audience wont like it.
But it always bugs me when people claim or think that making a big change like that that theyve never done before isnt going to affect their ability to create or make UA-cam videos. It kinda feels insulting in some ways or overconfident, because it's a change that a ton of people struggle with. And as much as I want to be included in that part of their life, I dont feel owed it. I just feel frustrated that people are making decisions based on the assumption they can balance both, when theres evidence that for most people they cant. And that can be a good thing, it can mean they are challenged, are going to experience a lot of growth from it, and for college or something similar that's the point. I miss it, but I'm still salty that I can point to specific instances "that's not something you can balance" and its been waved off, and then it turned out to be true.
But better that than try to balance tasks you realize you cant hold up.

One of the points that really helped me with my body dysmorphia:
No matter what weight/size your are, you are someone else's goal weight
In moments where I felt too disgusting to wear something or do something, that would really help knowing I wouldn't see someone larger than me in that light

Ive never had or wanted a romantic relationship (I'm aromantic and Asexual) so im looking at this conversation very much outside the rosy glasses of love and a partner, as i see my friends struggle with due to expectations within what a relationship is, and it was SO refreshing to see two people talk to each other as two separate people, not as an entity where you cant question the other person without questioning the relationship or the validity or like.. @@galli0 The idea that someone needs to be single for some prolonged period of time to "know themselves" is silly. Self-awareness is not a function of relationship status, it's a function of emotional maturity. More often than not, it's the important people in our lives who facilitate emotional growth, both directly and indirectly. The reason some serial monogamist have issues and/or seem to lack self-awareness is not because they've been in relationships but because the partners they've chosen have inhibited or even been detrimental to their growth. Linz is a case in point: she's been with Phil since she was 17, and they've both grown a ton, together and as individuals.
As people are forming serious relationships in early adulthood they often don’t have fully formed self-identities. They see their romantic partner as part of their own identity rather than outside of it.

Ideally, you are supposed to learn this from your parents at a young age. Whether your want it or not, your parents are the first example of a relationship is. If they have a dysfunctional or broken relationship, it can be hard to see any relationship in a healthy way when you grow up...
my husband and I have been together 12 years. love binging tv shows, he only watches hip hop podcasts and movies and completely refuses to watch any shows with me. But from day one of our relationship we found what we both love to do..... shopping! He loves shopping, for clothes, at the mall, thrift stores, yard sales, we went shopping for our second date in 2008 and never looked back lol 😆 we get so excited when we find a really good deal! Lol it’s sweet and doesn’t get old.

Every night my spouse and I walk thru the garden, and he pulls weeds here and there and it’s so freaking sweet.

Smoking is always bad for your lungs, it doesn’t matter if it’s weed or tobacco. Alcohol is also bad, but if you drink a small amount is quite safe for you body, because your liver manages to break it down. There is no amount if smoking that doesn’t damage your lungs. So, no, smoking anything should not be normalized, because it’s bad for your health.

I recommend a great book by Dr. Emily Nagoski called "Come As You Are" to learn about women's sex "drive" and why it's not actually a drive at all and why it seems so different from men's. It's a fascinating and fun read which is also science based. Really enjoyed this spousal chat. :)

In response to kids feeling disconnected during zoom classes, I am 22 years old and I barely felt like I was attending classes when I was sitting through my lectures because of how dramatically different it was from “normal” class
You guys talk about how you don't have a lot in common and would like to have more in common but I thinks it's a very good thing for couples to have things to do by themselves and have time away from each other. This is coming from a 19 year old who has never been in a relationship but I know from having a twin and being forced to share a room with her for the first eight years of my life that too much of anyone can be extremely annoying and lead to unjustified hatred. Now though we don't spend much time together but when we do it's doing the only thing we have in common, the Nintendo Switch. I think a similar thing is the reason to why the relationship between you two work so well.
Same! 22 years old and yes to the unjustified hatred for sharing a room for roughly 18 years. I haven’t gotten along so well with her since we moved 3 hours apart. We are pretty similar I would say based on the fact we were raised together but overall have different tastes and interest. She loves Greys Anatomy and similar shows and I love anime. We bond with music that we find we know each other will like and send each other TikToks because we have the same sense of humor. But yeah I think that living your own life helps you appreciate what you do find in common and enjoy it and are able to enjoy it more.
Less in common, more conversation....the only loves you need to share are the love of eachother and the love of food and drink to chat over- it is the secret to my parents' 38year marriage being separately together and coming together for meals to tell eachother what they have been up to: golf, walking, trainspotting, photography but all separately with friends xxxxx

OMG I feel Linz with the gardening point! I started to make sourdough bread, I made my starter from scratch and I make bread almost everyday and it has helped with my depression and dealing with everything else going on right now soooo much! Well if this is any information, US government workers arent allowed to have tiktok on their phone because it doesn't just read what you're doing on the app, but EVERYthing on your phone, your private messages in a different app, photos, everything. There was even a pentagon announcement you can watch on it.
