But there are entirely different reasons that vary between different groups of people to be respected, and some think that this kind of thing is brave and respectable, and most people just don't care. In short, things like respect and dignity are a tad superficial and somewhat subjective. And if it doesn't matter to you personally, or if you think it should matter to someone who is obviously in a mindset to do what they do and do it well, all I can say is, as stated;

    As someone who grew up in the emo/scene, warped tour, skater style groups in America I can say first hand it is extremely common to see grown ass men with girls as young as 12/13 or extreme age gaps in couples and it’s still extremely common even today. I’m 23 years old now and started hanging out with much older people both male and female at 12. Not saying everyone in those groups are that way, I’ve met plenty that were not that way, but it’s is very much a thing here in America as well. A lot (not all) of the younger people in those scenes, from my experience are struggling in some aspect of their lives and are very easy to manipulate. I’m glad she talked about it and Phil questioned it cause no one really does.

      I've heard stories about stuff like that, from a friend of mine. She was a teen hanging around with 30-40 year olds. Drinking and doing drugs. It all seemed very suspicious and she didn't even really question it until I pointed out how odd it was.
      At the same time, I dated a teen when I was 21. It wasn't part of any scene and was never my plan to date someone younger. We simple hung out in the same chat rooms, became friends and eventually developed feelings for each other. Eventually the age gap seemed to be the 1 con vs a huge list of pros, so we went for it. When everything fits except age, then it suddenly seems less important. Like Belle, I spent most of my time online, since a shitty home life left my social skills lacking. So, the odds of me finding someone cool, closer to my age was pretty low, in my books. We never drank or did drugs. I never abused or manipulated her. I wasn't some kind of predator, looking for young girls. I was just happenstance and we dated for 5 years.
      I've learned that this is quite common, and most woman I know started dating in their teens, while most men i know started dating in their 20's. Girls go for older guys and guys don't see action until they are older. If guys have to wait until they are in their 20's to date, then they are just waiting their turn in a cycle that keeps on going. It's just how it is, and the choices of young girls are contributing factor to that.

      @@davidvondoom2853 I’m currently in a 6 year relationship and we have a 3 year age gap, not a large one but still one, myself being the older person. I’m not saying every relationship with an age gap isn’t okay. We have a completely healthy relationship. I’m specifically talking about the ones belle and many like myself experienced. I never drank or did drugs, still don’t. I had and still do have a very bad home life and my health isn’t great so I was absent from school a lot. I too met a lot of friends online, at the mall or at concerts. I still lack many social abilities and have a very small circle of people I associate with.
      Most people in my town growing up start dating very young, both males and females around 12ish. So while in your experience you say men were waiting around, that was/is very much so not the case for where I live. There was always dating going around with people in my age group. No one was simply “waiting around” for one another, no one was waiting until they were in their 20s to date. And if they did, they decided too. No one was stopping you or anyone else from asking one another out except yourself.
      Everyone’s choices play a factor in normal relationship situation(s), the difference with what I’m talking about is men/women in their mid-late 20s+ know better than to associate with minors in that way. As an adult myself now, I’m aware that is extremely inappropriate. It is not on a child to understand that. Your brain is not fully developed and for most like me (in that type of emo/scene area) are not mentally well and at a young age can be easily manipulated and desperate for any form of positive feeling. You’re brain releases dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin, and endorphins which if you’re struggling and in a unwell mental place, are things you don’t experience. That person making you feel good acts like a drug. It is on the adult in that aspect to be held responsible for their interactions with a child because they have that better understanding. There are no other contributing factors that are relevant in those situations, especially the choices of the younger person who simply was manipulated and taken advantage of.

      And the brain continues to developed into the early 20's for many people, so I could argue that even a young adult is still not fully matured, mentally. At my current age, I would consider a teenager to be a child, but at age 20 I certainly didn't see them that way. Just someone a few years younger than me. EMT here, if you're going to get a defibrillator and you can splurge, get a lifepak. It's what we use on the ambulance, and in addition to basic defibrilation, you can set up an EKG and monitor heart rate and blood pressure automatically. It basically does all your vitals, so super helpful information for EMS to have if they're ever needed.

    So we all know about Belle, but I've never been someone who got into her content. I'm glad to hear she is open about talking about her life up to this point. It sounds like she has quite a bit of childhood trauma, and suffered from a lot of neglect in that time. Like the relationships with older, reliable, supportive people makes sense to me. I hope she's doing some counselling and working through that stuff, but she seems like a very reasonable, responseable, honest woman, and I'm glad she's as successful as she is with who she is. Good on you, Belle!

    It's incredible hearing her talk about her experiences. I grew up in a messed up home, was groomed by older men as a teen, and i'm only really addressing the emotional fallout from all that and I'm in my 30s. I think Phil talking to her like the adult she is, but also from that older, wiser perspective is awesome.

Back then, a universal "barrier" was 4y up or down, anything bigger was considered bad/immoral. Had normal relationships, went are were 🤷 though I did sadly witness a story of my 15/16yo female friend getting her first time lost without her consent with usage of violence after alcohol by a 25yo, which stirred me up and made look quite differently at the matter.

Once both pieces are toasted, spread the nutella on both pieces, arrange the slices of banana, on one piece, then place the second one on top to place it all together and there you go! I hope you all get to eat a really good sandwich as well!

    I completely resonate with what she said about emo/scene culture of 14 year old girls with 25 year old guys. This was pretty much my experience and every girl I knew in the culture and its only since becoming an adult I realise how the worst thing it was!!!!

      @@Grimm_Butterfly isn’t that kind of the point? A 14 year old doesn’t know any better. They flirt, they’re learning about themselves. An adult, is an adult. They’re supposed to know, no matter what you don’t fuck around with children. Blaming a kid for being a kid is so ridiculous.

    Adorable. Phil, Thanks for giving us an opportunity to see her side vs what's been publicized in the media. It's always great to see us introverts succeed.

    honestly like her or not, she is a genius. blew up with the whole ahegao face thing, then embraced the lewd cosplays, after that embraced the meme of a true gamer girl and turned all of that into a profitable business enough that she managed to sell supposed bathwater which for all we know could easily just be some dirty water she got from a creek or whatever. she is a perfect example of "taking advantage of your opportunities"

    Enjoyed this one, I've never payed much attention to Belle outside of her doing troll shit online and seeing her Onlyfans exploded , but hearing her speak and getting some insight into her as a person give me a new perspective so good luck to her in whatever weird shit is next.

    This has really changed my view of her. I also feel like this helped me answer some feelings about my own past, hearing her talk about kind of accepting what has happened in her youth with her parents. Her whole 'I'm making the most of what I get'-attitude is really helpfull
