Hope you get to try Atlanta, Seattle, RSL, LAFC all of which are so different and so fun!
Looking at this... If my career ever took me to living in the US - and working for a major US corporation in Germany, I wouldn't rule it out - I feel like the nearest MLS team and it's fan base would a perfect starting point to meet great people, connect and fill your weekends with a bit of fun and joy. I've got to say this video really gave me a positive impression of MLS fan culture.

The Orlando fans looked superb! Would love to experience MLS one day. If those fans were English it’d be celebrated but because they’re American they get patronised and it’s seen as embarrassing. Really unfair if you ask me!
Well said... I'm a Yank but I don't even support the MLS...too old and I was already all in with Liverpool. (And to a lesser extent Celtic as my grandparents are all Irish)...I also admit that some things Yank fans, especially those from the South and Midwest do can be cringey. But they're having fun and keeping it friendly. It's growing and will only get better. A lot of English fans seem to forget, or not realize that up until the 1950s most English stadiums were very reserved. Post war immigrants from Italy and Ireland are the ones who really kicked off the tradition of taking popular melodies and adding player/team chants to them... sucks that so many British people love taking the piss out of Americans for no other reason than us being American... trust me there's plenty of stuff we shud be slaggged off for...but this ain't one of em.

Think of it this way, MLS may not have the history and traditions of other clubs around the world; but we have a UNIQUE opportunity to be a part of building the history and traditions
As an American I think we have an okay atmosphere, it can be a bit cringey sometimes but football is still in development here and hope it will keep growing. I really love the European atmosphere, I've been to the Emirates for Arsenal v. Chelsea and it was epic.

Soccer culture in America has a lot of Latino influence in terms of players and fans so it's no surprise why they sometimes chant in Spanish and have similar chants to the ones done in Latin America. Soccer is receiving massive growth in popularity especially among younger people, US soccer is on the rise!!
most mls in texas teams just use liga mx chants with lyrics slightly changed. They use chants from tigers, Veracruz, america, Tijuana, atlas, and Santos laguna.
Genuinely love this video. As a uk based MLS fan I’ve been an advocate for the league for considerable time when I hear stereotypical British based vans mocking it. The league continues to get stronger and stronger. I first started watching the MLS when Toronto joined but only because two players from my English side Norwich where I have a season ticket joined them and I was intrigued. I’ve supported Seattle since their incarnation all because of a Football Manager save I did many years ago. I LOVE how game day isn’t just 90 minutes and leave early to beat the traffic like it is for so many in the uk, it’s an all day event in the states. Me and my friends love Norwich but we don’t go for the football (we ain’t that mad lol) we make a day of it. Just like in this video. Love that side of it. Love my American sports anyway but love this side of it. Sadly too many muppets ruin the football experience in the uk for us to ever be able to experience game like they do in the USA. One day maybe. Would love to see you visit more mls teams. Seattle especially, nothing tops it.

As a Leicester boi really happy to see Christian Fuchs still going strong and also slightly amazed to see him taking penalties?! He was never much of a goal threat at Leicester and can only remember him scoring once?! I guess he must be captain but all same possibly questions the teams quality and depth!
I was surprised he was on the pen as well. We have other players who I believe are far better at it but perhaps they just went with the most experienced.
tbf he took all manners of set pieces at Schalke. also he has been a terrible liability this year for Charlotte. Last year he was signed but the team didnt exist so they loaned him to a 2nd division side in the same city
Glad you enjoyed my home town team! I am a season ticket holder and passionate supporter. We need a few of those killer players from UK to come join MLS to help put Messi in his place!! Future Is great for MLS and I’m sure soon we will be able to compete with most of the UK teams!
I'm an NYC FC fan and the two games I've been to really have been incredible. The fans chant in both English and Spanish, and the whole vibe reminds me why I love my city in the first place. It's diverse, it's full of energy, it's inclusive, it's welcoming, and it rallies no matter what (which helps, given we lost to Cincinnati in the first game I saw and drew with Charlotte at the second). It's one thing to watch fans abroad cheering for their teams, and it's another to actually be a part of it and feel that pride. Hope you get more chances to see games across the pond! Try to catch a game in our second division (USL) as well, they have amazing fans too!

Man, I'd love for you to do some more MLS clubs for different feels, especially some old school MLS rivalries - be a part of the South Ward at Red Bull Arena against DC United, for example. Great video.
As a Charlotte fan the result was frustrating. I got to experience our first home match in person. 74,000 people and a fan base who was immediately behind the team. Our atmosphers are improving and I'm so glad you showcased that.
I don’t get why people are shitting on MLS fans in the comments. Yes, they’re not as intense/passionate as fans in other countries but it’s definitely getting better every year. Although most of our state and country are unaccepting, we are a very inviting city who accepts all people. We also love to throw a good party. Look forward to your future videos!
One thing that will forever inhibit the growth of American game is the size of the country. Brazil has a similar problem, but America is even bigger, and doesn't have the Amazon taking up half the country, with no teams in that area to worry about traveling to (before anyone says Manaus they don't have a top league side). The best part about English game is the local rivalries. Makes the game so much better. The closest games, outside of derbies in America, are usually 2-3 hours away minimum. Makes it harder for away fans to travel/create the need for an away section. Also makes it harder for us to ever have promotion/relegation (Franchise system also inhibits this)... local teams end up playing each other more than teams on the opposite coast.
It's always great to see English Supporters do vlogs at MLS Matches. Thank you. Now as she said that it's a mostly friendly atmosphere, but it's a Different story when Atlanta comes to town. What is crazy is its VERY different from stadium to stadium, I will never forget going to my first away game and being blown away by the differences and how cool it was that each states culture really bleeds into its team and game day.

In all seriousness, great video. The toasting to the Queen part was a bit on the strange side for me though, same with the singing pre-match 🤪
Singing in pre match happens in every sport in north America
There are a lot of British ex-pats living and working in Orlando, I’ve taken a shot toasting the queen before, those are some funny dudes lol
That's Orlando, not Seattle
That club just won the concacaf champions league lmao
Seattle fans Abandoned that chant long ago. Check out there atmosphere in the recent North American champions League final. And btw there coming to next clubs world cup, you can check out there fans there
Think of it this way, MLS may not have the history and traditions of other clubs around the world; but we have a UNIQUE opportunity to be a part of building the history and traditions

Yes. Latinos are the soccer scene. Good stuff
most mls in texas teams just use liga mx chants with lyrics slightly changed. They use chants from tigers, Veracruz, america, Tijuana, atlas, and Santos laguna.
also a lot of texas mls teams have players from liga mx teams on loan
Florida also has a large latino community.
When over in the US I always try and catch an MLS game. Always enjoy them fans always really friendly and welcoming

However, nowadays, I've seen an incredible investment and growth on the fan experience here in America. There's some rowdiness, chants, flags, drumming, etc... and it is still welcoming to all. I still miss going to matches in Brazil but I always have fun when I go to one here in America as well. Cheers mate.
A large number of OCSC supporters are Latin, Iron Lion Firm was founded by Latinos, a lot of our chants are in Spanish.
Galaxy fans are not the most intense and the hardcore support there has always been limited I feel like. Some places like Orlando the organized support is more popular
The owner of the bar is a top guy, he's always interacting with customers. Living in Orlando Florida for 11 years, i've been to many American sporting events, the atmosphere always feels rehearsed and especially in Orlando it's more of a day out than the final score. But everyone has fun and enjoys themselves which is what life is all about
you should come next season to australia for a sydney derby Sydney FC vs Western Sydney Wanderers, the ultras go mad atmosphere is crazy
Melbourne victory v Sydney !
The only game people show up to. Plastics
You should come down here to Mexico it gets crazy and the passion for football is there ! Especially the finals that are coming up soon ! Greetings !
This looks awesome, the 6 hours before appeals, and the drinking.Starting to like the MLS
Look at American college football, Most of there teams have fans show up to their home games like 8 hours before the game starts it's crazy.
@@tcbobb1613 That sounds great to me mate 👍
I'm really happy you had such a good time here. In Sacramento we have the Republic and they are supported very well even though a league below MLS. Thanks for showing how it really is in America!
You should go to an Atlanta United game when you get the chance. Great atmosphere and a great stadium. We also have a young star in Thiago Almada who is beginning to gain momentum.
That was a great insight to the American game, love how you can walk around the stadium. Nice stadium! Great upload 👍
Amazing video! Well done sir and thank you. Go City!
Happy that you and Jodie are enjoying the US! Safe travels!
