You can use dielectric grease on those terminals you're bolting together using dissimilar metals and it will prevent corrosion and *decrease resistance* as the contacts age.

alright! no matter what anyone says your a real dude. one for people to look for. one for people to know that it's OK to learn as you go. no shame in that. and you are great information hwy. I'm a 20 yr aluminum welder custom fabricator sportfishing yacht tunatower builder. getting custom and learning from learning is how its done!! ive been in car audio since 85. put together an audio art system in 88' with a pair collins tubes... speakers were replaced in two days with kicker pros. the audio art was sure a cheater amp.. and with the 12" tubes recarbed I broke myself. reason? packed into an 85' nissan King cab. alt upgrade was expensive as ____ back then. wire$$ are you kidding i was 17 and worked changing tires for a living... in-between spinning records for pennies. when i showed up places like Knott's Berry Farm it was ridiculous but true and there was plenty of other guys with badass low riders. within the next two years it had takin storm. I'm glad there is a guy that makes it fun and not about anything else but the pursuit of a great system. thanks for all that you will keep going.

Have you ever thought of using really big Electrolytic Capacitors on the batteries to help stabilize the extreme voltage changes during peak power demand? I used to use a couple of large Electrolytic caps on my booster battery for my CB Radio Linear Amplifier and it made a big difference in the performance. The Large Caps should make a huge difference in audio performance as well.

What meter are you using on your phone what is the name of the app

    • @The_Bass_Stunters

BiLL Ramseyer that is not an app it’s an actual DB meter that you install on your windshield that has an app to use your phone for the display. That is an expensive tool just not some DB app from the Apple store.

EXO I've always loved those original Expeditions. I was afraid you were going to let it die. I'm so glad to see it back in service and glad it worked out for you.

I just noticed HVCA and you are both using 6 of the same amps in 90s full size trucks. I'm curious how the two builds will perform and compare.

The best way to tighten the wire is to fill the ends with soldier and then clamp them down

      Soldering isn't always necessary!

@@EXOcontralto no def not I'm just talking about the clean ends that get tightened with Alan head but I like to just fill the ends and then clamp it just holds so much tighter but who am I ? You the man !!! Lol

Yes. But theres other brands that sound clear or have the bass you want for less money. Research research before you buy. FYI.. wire quality and thickness , efficient power source, enclosures, sound dampening are all important to get the most out of a setup. You'd be surprised that brands that aren't top of the line names can perform extremely well.
