Thanks for this general overview! I kind of wrote Bustafellows off when I first heard about it because it seemed like most of the initial Western promotion focused on the action. I'm so glad to hear that there are even diehard otome fans that think the plot elevated the experience instead of completly detracting from it. I think I'll have to check it out for myself ☺
I felt the same way to begin with! Part of me is glad that I didn’t buy it when it came out in Japan though, as now I’m able to get hyped about it with English speaking otome fans 😁
I appreciate you giving a breakdown review of this game, and on my birthday no less! I've got a backlog of otome games that I need to finish, but I may have to consider adding this one to the list as well. I like that this game allows you to choose the guy you want rather than forcing you to follow a certain path and lock character routes until you finish the path they give you.
When I finish the game I’m hoping to do a full review of it with my own opinions too! I agree with you, it’s so much nicer to be able to choose whoever you want. Character restrictions can be so frustrating if it’s a character you want to play early on lol.
@@RestingPeachFace YES! It really is frustrating! If I'm forced to play a route of a character I don't particularly like when I first start an otome game, sometimes I don't feel as motivated to get through their story.
Waiting for my Collector's Edition with bated breath. Looking forward to the story the most! I don't have a LI I'm most interested in, so I will either go with the Otome Reddit's order or see where my options lead.
Hearing this review and watching you play the demo has made me a lot more excited for this game haha I wasn't sure I wanted to try it before but now I think I will, although I'll probably have to wait until winter when I have more time.
I’m glad my videos are increasing the hype! 😁 tbh I didn’t think I’d be excited either until I had a quick look through info haha. It just doesn’t look like your typical sparkly otome, more like an ordinary VN.
Love the review. Thank you! If you know the game "Amnesia", it would e really nice to hear a review about that since I'm not sure, if I should buy it or not. And if you haven't play it yet then I would love to see a playthrough of that. Greetings from Germany 😊
Thank you! And I have played Amnesia, it’s one of my favourites! (I actually mention it in my top 3 video I think). It’s on my list of reviews to do so it’s just a matter of time - I’m trying to catch up 😂
Ugh i just looked at appstore it costs around 30$ and i looked at steam it just costed 4$ ish… such big difference between both i wonder if you know the diference between mobile and steam version?
@@natdomo As far as I am aware there is no difference between the two, considering there are no differences between the switch version and steam version! I imagine it’s just pure preference of whether you would prefer to play on PC or phone 🙂
Thank you for letting me know, I noticed this a couple of videos ago but haven’t been able to figure out how to resolve it, so until then people will hopefully be okay listening with both earphones or speaker >.< but thanks for letting me know anyway! 😁
It’s about a girl who aspires to be a screenwriter (like her mum) and then ends up in various situations (depending on LI) whereby she has to pretend to be lovers for their respective reasons. It’s a love comedy 😁
That is one thing that I noticed after playing the game recently 😭 I don’t think there’s a way to know unless you speak Japanese 😞. However, most of what’s being said in the background is “background noise” and isn’t needed as far as I can see at least in chapter 1 (like the news in the background for example). Once I finish playing the game, maybe I can pick up the bits that haven’t got any subs and translate it 🤔
If you meant when you transition into a new scene and there is spoken Japanese without subtitles, if yes then it will be in the log. I just started playing it and it’s a minor annoyance that I wish they patched.
I know it's prolly far-fetched but, since I know you did part of the demo before it came out here for us all... With the English release, in that final credits bit of Auld Lang Syne it's not subbed, and no way to see the log. I know otomeobsessed was trying to see if someone could like sub it or even just transcribe it so we can all see what it says(though the localizers have been notified, so we'll see how that goes too). If it's something you'd be comfortable helping with(if not, it's very much also a-okay).
Welp another one i have to get now xD haha i would wait for valentines (because im my own Valentine lolol😆😌😏🤭) buuuut im too impatient lmaoooo im Just gonna get it now anyway xD Love your Reviews so much🤍even If i Go broke with such good Suggestions at this Point 😂😂😂🥲🫶

Just wondering if you noticed the voice is only coming out of the left side of the audio

Hi Lilu. I'm so excited to play Bustafellows. Just in case I don't find any video games I want at Otakon.
Hahaha you should get it anyway! 😛
What’s your next review going to be?
Probably on an unlocalised game that I recently completed called LoverPretend 🙂
Ohh. What’s that about?
