Gacha's move fast and since we get the character details early. We can make some predictions. Ofcourse it doesn't mean your units now will be completely useless next year just because of that.

I think looking at chars "core skill" activation will be a major thing going forward. Lycaon may be good in ice teams, but he's locked into ice teams. Qingyi core is activated with "attack" units meaning she can slide into a LOT of teams. I dont want to go into spoilers for Ceaser and Burnice but they also can slide into other teams. What we got early in the game was "match the element" or faction which narrowed your options.
Zhu Yuan, Qingyi and Nicole sound like a very future-proof team to me. Good stats all around (multipliers, buffs & debuffs), QY has great AoE stun (and a bit of gather + stagger/push) and Nicole has DEF Shred and amazing Gather. Also overall decent mobility. Edit: Also the Resonaboo has extra Gather CC
Zhu yuan is burst dps so i guess among all 3 you mentioned, she is the most prone to powercreep. If theres another burst dps, qingyi can survive. If theres another ether dps, nicole can survive. I can already imagine a new DPS came out that deals an absurd amount of damage without having to stun the enemy. But ah well we'll see.
IMO Zhu Yuan will not be powercrept for years. That's because her current best team comp's fundamentals are so strong that her team will be able to cover most if not all content. Burst DPS is ideal in ZZZ because it's about abusing those burst windows in your rotations, which means Qingyi is rewarded for having most of the field time to build up stun faster. What you're saying doesn't mean Zhu Yuan will be *powercrept*. It means her teammates can use alternatives (such is the nature of supports). Even if that alternative is "better" in that team or element, it does not make Zhu Yuan redundant as she is still strong herself, therefore is not powercrept.
I'm 50/50 on this. I think Zhu Yuan will be powercrept very quickly. However, ZZZ is unlike the other Hoyoverse games in that your personal skill can easily make up for less optimal characters and builds wherein other Hoyoverse games, your skill matters, but not to the same degree. So, as long as your rotations are well planned and executed almost any character can still be good for the foreseeable future. What's more likely, in my opinion, is that Zhu Yuan will be "comfort creeped." By which I mean that, like Qingyi, the next Ether DPS will have more interruption resistance, I-frames, forgiving combos, etc. that will allow them to deal more damage in the same time frame as Zhu Yuan without having to micromanage things like shot shells. And when we start seeing modifiers like Withering Garden's stun recovery speed on different enemies, Zhu Yuan won't be anywhere near as valuable.
I was once obsessed with this powercreeep things, but as much getting older, now i don't pursue it anymore and change perspective instead. That's why i just keep building Anby until i get her M6, well just because she's cute and free chara.
i lost it at ZY needs long field time. my guy if you say so you're playing the game wrong. Qin was made to stay on field for much time just to compensate for the fact that ZY is a burst DPS, so you stun, do your rotation, empty the shells and go back to qin. ZY is not like ellen that wants to stay on field to do dmg.
unless you got her M1 i totally agree with ZY doesnt need that much time on field, also Qingyi core passive could make her a quite reliable sub-dps imo.
I think both Seth and Jane deserve a mention. They work very well with disorder teams, and I think they are going to be useful for a long time. Pairing both with an anomaly character that matches the enemy weakness seems like a good strategy.
@@1EnZBosS1disorder was bugged in 1.0, it was supposed to apply daze every time it procced. it is fixed now, so disorder double anomaly teams have no need for a dedicated stunner anymore because theyll proc disorder so many times to stun the enemy. since both anomaly units are applying relatively high damage instead of only one unit in a traditional hypercarry comp being 90% of the damage, the potential damage ceiling could be much higher. imagine burnice and grace together, spamming disorders like crazy combined with their very high uptime anomaly effects, the enemy will always be burned or shocked until they get disorder to proc, and itll get reapplied almost instantly. i think assault also affects the amount of daze disorder does too, so jane doe can help you stun even faster. even if we take damage out of the equation for stuff like freeze and corruption, imagine a pseudo support anomaly ice unit that constantly freezes every enemy on the field for insane crowd control and instead of directly doing damage adds more debuffs to frostbite, or a similar thing for corruption. there is a lot of potential in the anomaly class.

@@zhoennixgaming7615 Atk/Stun are better at the moment because all the currently released Limited units favor that playstyle. Jane and later Burnice are where we will see how they match up to Ellen and Zhu Yuan.
Rina is kinda underrated right now. The moment she will highly shine is when the game decided to release S rank limited electro attacker. Yes, she is currently very good for anomaly team. But her full potential is not seen yet

Tbh, builded Rina and she feels stronger on Ellen team. The Pen Ratio melts some bosses, also nice to point out its waaaay better to play Rina instead of Soukaku, smoother gameplay imo
To me something off is that characters has a "type" of dealing damage (you can see it in the Detailed Stats) This for now are Slash, Pierce and Strike. So I think in the future there will be enemies that are inmune or resistant to "types" of attack. (and maybe they introduce another like blunt).
Bingo. They already have additional damage splits, so now you need Ice Blunt/Pierce/Slash. You can still get elemental bonus, but nulled by wep penalty. So, you still want the 5* without fully nulling a previous pull.
The reason Genshin works so well is because the open world gameplay allows characters to differentiate on things like movement techs or flexibility, whereas since ZZZ is ONLY combat, and the ONLY thing that matters is TTK and TTD, power creep is much more of an inevitability.
I think ZZZ will be somewhere between Genshin and Honkai Impact 3rd. HI3 powercreeps their characters way too hard and way too fast IMO while in Genshin, most older 5 star limited characters are still useful and can still clear all content with them, even if they are powercrept.
i dont really see that, character kits in GI still are very heavily combat oriented and their movement or/and exploration/whatever features are just a bonus imo. movement also might be important in zzz, ben is mega slow for example. they could add more bullet hell type bosses that require you to run fast and some characters could capitalize on that. they could also expand on rally comission type gameplay and make kits that support that. or some TV mode support skills. there are many possibilities
@@whit3devil Ben is slow, but swapping characters is fast, so all you need to do is swap characters, move to target, and swap back. And most DPSes have massive gap-closer abilities. Movement in ZZZ does not matter enough for movement tech to be relevant. It very much is in Genshin. Yelan is a prime example, a very popular character, even though her combat value is arguably worse than Xingqui, a character most people already have, because her movement tech and the flexibility of using a box make her a much more cozy pick.
@@Regulus37 I beg to differ for HI3. HI3 always give around 2 years of relevancy for any gacha S-rank characters. All DPS are always subject to type counters (and to small extent, weather if you're doing abyss), except when they introduce a new type and have no counter. You don't fight Psy type bosses with Mech type, because your dmg will be reduced by 30% simply by not abiding the type-counter rule. Using same Psy type against them are okay, but don't expect beating the top scorer which will be the Bio type, since they have 30% dmg bonus against the countered Psy type. These type-counter rigging will ensure no new battlesuits will absolutely steal the spotlight of any older gacha S-rank DPS for until about 2 years, where they typically release new battlesuit of the same damage element and typing -which means they directly powercreep the old one of the same element and typing-.
4:42 I agree with all of these things! Those 4 aspects are really the things that make characters valuable. I believe the most significant one is "Faction Bonuses." Not only because future characters will influence them, but also because they pair with S-Rank bangboo. We still need a Bangboo for Soukaku and Miyabi's faction. That might be very good.
Rina's problem is you need M1 for her to have any longevity. They are not going to release any electric DPS that can deal a majority of their dmg in a 3 second window. Her puppets simply return to her way too quickly at M0. Other than that I think she is definitely going to have a resurgence a few patches from now when roster evolves and people can either offrate into M1 or use selector on it.
Yea ZZZ is definitely gonna get characters with Herrscherr levels of animation quality. Transformations, multiple ult levels, and different weapons. Just look at Hi3 and you can predict how crazy ZZZ will potentially get.
@@positivelyno I agree, a game like zzz is able to stave off power creep easier because of that. Just look at star rail from a year ago to where it is today. The power level has skyrocketed in comparison. Star Rail doesnt have as much "skill expression" due to it being turn based.
@@aggil661 That's why I quit that game. Powercreep is getting insane. The people that say you can easily clear Pure Fiction with Herta or Himeko have insane relics and insane supports. Certain characters feel incomplete without their lightcones (like most recently, Yunli). They're taking advantage of the fact that it's a 75/25 by putting more incentives in lightcones. The difference between an E0S0 and E0S1 Acheron is insane in regards to QoL. I don't pull every new release cuz I'm F2P, but man, I'm severely struggling in PF and AS right now cuz I don't got like Ruan Mei or Robin. I don't got Firefly or Boothill. My Ratio team is struggling cuz he's the hypercarry and he takes a while to break enemies one by one with the Herta LC and decent relics. It's insane how much QoL new characters give you in beating endgame. I remember when I got Acheron and she's literally been trivializing every form of content, until we got the most recent AS.
I think defense characters will be very relevant if we get more modes like the new Shiyu defense where its less about time and more about survivability
If you look at leaks, you'll also find that defense characters also provide supportive utility, which may cause them to outshine supports in certain team comps for the sake of comfort, such as in that new Shiyu Defense mode you're talking about.

Defense characters are already desirable in the newest set of Shiyu nodes (Distributed Node) where S-rank completions require all team members to survive, and there’s no real time limit. I thought this was a smart addition by Hoyo, and flips the script on the typical ‘just burn it down as fast as you can’ strats.
Tbf from what we know about Seth and Ceaser’s kit they actually function more like a buff support and a stunner, so they don’t really affect how long your team will live, Ben is the only one to apply a team shield
I don know what is in Caesar’s kit, but in Seth’s case, his utility as a Defense oriented character is that he can soak more damage than a usual character while still performing combos against the attacker. He has anti-interrupt on all his skills, and has 40% dmg resist and invulnerability while using his special. From there the goal is to perform a normal attack combo (or chain attack) to trigger a quick assist where his resolve shield will swap to the incoming character. He’s a setup man and I think the play is to keep him on the field as much as possible, only bringing in the hitters for burst damage or stun.
@@dexcharisma4805 Seth gets his resolve from doing defensive assists, so he really shouldn’t be on the field that often, especially since his main obvious pairing is Jane who’s mechanic demands she stay on field very often
@@rain6539 His charged special which he can combo into in various ways generates resolve and is a lot more reliable than def assists. He’s a great pair with Jane for her evasion and burst, but for defensive shiyunodes I’m leaning on defense characters and not worrying so much about keeping my squishy damage dealers in harms way. Particularly against the hardest defense shiyu fight which I won’t spoil. They simply hit too hard, too fast.
The thing about Caesar, atm in beta she has the fastest Daze build out of every character now. So I'd say Defense will be viable in that they're ability to build that gauge the fastest and counter/tank will be their selling point.
As of 1.1, all my S-rank characters are Soldier 11, Ellen, Koleda, Nekomata, and Qingyi (I want both Rina and Grace but my S-rank roster is pretty great so I'm not THAT salty). My 2 teams are Ellen/Qingyi/Soukaku and S11/Koleda/Lucy. I already built Soukaku and Lucy and now working on building Nicole. I'm hoping to get Jane because I love her fast-paced gameplay but I'm fine even if I don't get her. Caesar and Burnice I still don't have info about so I can't say if I'm pulling or skipping. As someone commented in the other video, Miyabi will most likely be an ICE Attack agent if they are sticking to her being an ICE agent and not an Ice ANOMALY 19:30 "you guys that pulled Ellen might not feel too happy about that" Personally, I love Ice dps characters in any game (Ayaka and Ganyu in Genshin, Jingliu in HSR, Ellen and Miyabi in ZZZ) and I pull for them even if I know that they will EVENTUALLY be powercrept by future characters (and no, I HATE TRASHqing and his mentor TRASH Yuan)
Haven't seen this team much but Nicole feels like the best A rank cause also can fit and be built as a anomaly trigger for disorder as an alternative when playing in the specific team of Grace - Nicole - Anton. Its very niche and very special since you need to manage all 3 time since all of them can have fast rotations, also making it a very unique playstyle and very difficult too, but can be a good startpoint since only needs grace as an option + anton, making it not needed to compete with piper (also thosd who don't like her much), but also for building her in a very flexible slot for be there, since she can also be switched to a main dps team too. Would be cool to cover the anomaly playstyle of nicole, since there is not a lot of info about this playstyle of nicole yet, but makes it even more interesting since makes nicole more than just a support and makes her shine in even more teams

I don't think they'll ever add dual-typing into the game, especially if you look at Genshin and Star Rail as an example. And even if they did, there's no way they would add them this early.
I'm only planning on pulling agents that interest me or would offer something new for my account, not interested in investing hard earned time and 100's of dollars on a new limited character with the same attributes that will clear a stage 8 seconds faster. Just remember to play who you like
@@TheRoleplayer40k yeah. most limited 5 stars tend to be good regardless if you have e6. e6 Acheron will literally ignore type weakness, which means she can hypothetically be played against any enemy. that's the point. they want you to spend money. most people have her at E0, which is where the difficulty comes in.
one thing to note about powercreep is, lets say Miyabi is officialy out as the Ice attacker, a seemingly better Ellen in all different aspects. It wont drop Ellen from Tier 0 tier 4 right away. At most Ellen would still be a decent pickup at T0,5. People mostly mistook powercreep as a negative term as straight up change the character from usable to benched/trashed/mid, but in all fairness they are not. But then again powercreep is inevitable in Gacha game, its just a matter of how fast that one unit would be pcreeped. Gacha companies are in fact first and foremost a business model aimed to make money, ofc at some point they have to introduce new character that is superior than their previous characters (because if they arent, people would just keep using that other previous one they had already)
Bro saying theres no hard enemies , no s no sodge no shielding , bruh .. did you even play the game ? My most hated enemy is litteraly the teleporting i frame dude that hits you from nowhere like 4 times , especially if he paird with another enemy. PAIN
And don't forget, that we now have Jane as a boss (especially her variation in Obsidian mission), so I think devs will put more and more enemies like that, alongside with types like Razor (tanky, hit hard, many attacks but no mobility).

18:00 100% a new permanent mode will be catered to defense units. They don't have any identity now and 5* unit release will change it similar to Argenti making Herta/Himiko super relevant.
Yeah kinda the whole issue with defense units is that I rather just not get hit, and if you dont care about their defensive capabilities they are going to be just watered down supports
@@diegoacosta2915 A point brought up elsewhere... the majority of the market is cell phones, right? If that's the case, controls aren't as tight, a lot easier to make mistakes. Not saying you can't play well, there are gods on cell phones too, but most people aren't and the controls aren't helping. This is all to say, for people who need/would like a little cushioning, shields are gigantic. It's the difference between wiping and not and that's a premium for those kinds of folk. If you've got the skills to pay the bills, I don't think Caesar will be that huge (unless they really want to move units) but I can still see her being very successful.
@@Gutockexactly but some characters have long animations like piper a shield with anti interrupt and will make rotations more smoother. Especially when enemies are constantly attacking. We will have to see what kind of benefits other than shield she provides of course
@@Gutock I can see Caesar and other defense units gaining huge value over supports or stunners once they release that new Shiyu defense mode as repeatable content. They could save you so many resets.
I think Piper will hold on reasonably well. Piper can boost your team damage, and she's arguably the best A rank right now. But she is going to have more competition than the supports.

@@Firmansyah-cr8wj yeah I did. Probably not smart, but I had koleda on another account and didn’t love her playstyle. Anby frustrated me on my Zhu yuan team. Qingyi is a lot easier to use for me esp as I play mostly on mobile. I think Caesar will help me a lot with shield just like zhongli does in Genshin.
I've been preaching Nicole to everyone I know playing this game. I think if you have a specific team you'd rather have more niche supports for she might be a little less effective as a unit, but for generic use cases and for Ether teams she's clearly the best support in the game by leaps and bounds. For me I'm using Zhu Yuan team as my main content clear and Nicole is absolutely insane with the value she provides. It's not even close with any of the other supports. Looking to the future Jane Doe looks like really high investment value long term, potentially even being a key role in Anomaly teams going forward.
We already have Seth who is a def that is good for anomaly teams and it seems. I think in the future they might even introduce double element or characters that are defense but do a completely different thing, like stun or build anomaly. Would be funny if Miyabi is electro and ice. Normal and EX are electro and the ultimate is imbued with ice in a big front loaded damage,lol. Is tough anyway, Seth and Jane are very good but anomaly is also very reliant on the enemy resistances and overall kit which at the moment is still new. I will try to get Seth just to have him but I will skip Jane, we already have Piper and Neko as physical dps.
Well consider one of the Hollow Zero zones includes a Low-Life mode built into it, Defense units have a good reason to exist if they make more content like that.
So I've been very lucky with my pulls still pulling for Jane tho so wish me luck. But I do believe if you C 6 or C4 a A rank character they can still compete with S rank Characters or at least the gap in power won't be so wide for a good while.
I for sure thought you were going to say Jane Doe and Burnice as either #1 or your wild cards. They're both pretty crazy as it seems right now, and I think we're on the cusp of an anomaly meta. Miyabi might be released to herald the glorious return of the attack type meta. I could be wrong tho and they just release her as our limited electric attacker in 1.3, who knows...
I just don't think Caeser be power crept soon either. So essetinally, I think you hit the nail on the hammer with that wild card for Caesar. If you know hoyoverse. They don't power creep premium shielders. Genshin: Zhongli post buff. Honkai: Aventurine is still broken ZZZ: Caeser, Zhongli shield + tingyun buff Also, Miyabi will have to be ice. Since we already know she uses it when showed off her ability against Nineveh. So real question is, She's either attack or Anamoly. This could either be a Pseduo buff for ellen or fairly quick power creep.
My top 3: lycaon (v v long s which gives him time to apply stun), nicole (same reasons as you, cc and clumping), and….corin (cos i like her character sorry 😂)
I just one decent limited DPS to carry me through the game now. I wont be pulling for pure attack agents for the foreseeable future unless there's something that really catches my eyes
So I'm new to Gacha games and I'm really enjoying Z3 but I have a couple questions. What does "TLDR" stand for? What does "Proc" mean? and what does it mean to "Brick" your account?
Miyabi is gonna powercreep Ellen so i think they are either gonna release her really late or they are gonna change her kit so that you can play them both on the same team. I think if they change her element that would change of lot of planning in what Hoyoverse wants to be meta, but I suppose that is also possible.
All stun units so far increase stun multiplier but Qingyi has the highest ratio and is versatile with literally any attacker. Lycaon is locked to team synergy with 35%, Koleda as well at 70%, while Qingyi sits on a whopping 80% with no synergy needed.
Koleda doesn't amplify stun windows, she amplifies chain attacks which is exponentially weaker when compared to other counterparts because stun characters slot into main carry teams much more than anything else, and everyones chain attacks vary greatly in usefulness. The thing that Koleda absolutely has going for her is that she is better at burst stunning and does not require significant field time.
That Jane Doe boss on HDD really push me to use juggle type of combat, tho she has an escape route on juggle, I manage to deal significant amount of damage and daze everytime I manage to juggle her. Hopefully we can have more boss like her that pushes you to use complex game mechanics
yeah with jane boss, now i know hoyo capable for giving us very hard boss with high mechanics, but i think they will add it slowly.. because not every player is hardcore
I think Soukaku boosting ice damage kind of guarantees Miyabi being ice since they’re in the same faction. Anomaly is coming in each patch so far with Jane and Burnice, so ice anomaly seems very likely.
Not only is miyabi popular but Ellen is too. Ive seen a lot of fan art and half of it is Ellen. 40% anby. Well there's also a lot of lycaon art but I don't visit places where that's at. But because of Ellen's popularity it seems even more odd that they would introduce competition for her as an ice attacker. I'm hoping they make miyabi an electric attack unit. But we'll have to see. Also, looking at Seths kit, I feel like he could end up aging really well. He's really useful for anomaly teams so i could see him really synergizing well with future anomaly units. Lastly, no character is going to be powercrept tomorrow. And even once one is, it will likely not be by a lot this early on. Qingyi is undoubtedly really powerful but I'm still stunning just fine with anby. I don't see it getting to the point that you can't do content or something with the 1.1 era units for quite awhile.
Unless/Until they rerun her, shes not making them any money from them anymore and there's no way to make an ice team with an ice attacker right now without ellen.
@@sparhawk2195 Zhongli is basically Genshin's best shielder. If you have him, you can pretty much face-tank everything. I've been playing with my friend, who does not have him, and it makes the game several times harder. His shields also shred enemy res, and he leaves a construct on-field that damages mobs and produces crystals that provide further shielding. He was introduced in 2020 and a character added last year actually uses those crystals as ammo. A team with the two of them is a blast to play (literally, lol.) I'm a little skeptical that Caesar will be *that* good, but I hope she is. Frankly, plenty of Genshin's introductory characters are still very, very good in endgame content, so hopefully ZZZ will follow suit. I'm more interested in fun playstyles than big numbers.

Yep very true, but I still pull for her cause I prefer to enjoy the present cause I quit gacha early usually cause I got bored so might as well pull for any character that make gameplay better
@@BooSlewev yes it only makes sense, if you are in the snow then tires made specifically to be in the snow are better, once you have the right tools to specialize into a niche it should surpass the original or else what is the point of doing it in the first place
Hey EOD, my 300th standard pull is coming and I'm planning on grabbing my first Rina. Do you have any thoughts on M0 Rina versus the M6 Nicole I'm currently running with Zhu Yuan and Qingyi? I agree with you that Rina is underrated and future proof, but I don't think she's an *obvious* upgrade to Nicole in that team. Really comparing them involves several nuances as they're both good options, so I'm open to advice from analysts such as yourself.
My guess is that Miyabi will be ice anomaly, it just makes the most sense as I don't think they'd drastically change her functions or element (as that would kinda jack up her synergy with soukaku who's in her faction) but as anomaly she can still be somewhat of a dps without directly power creeping Ellen.
She can be an ice attacker and not power creep ellen. Attackers can serve multiple purposes. You have on Field DPS (like Ellen), and you have more burst oriented DPS (Corin, Zhu Yuan). Miyabi could fall under the burst dps category making her style of play and potential team comps different than Ellen's. I don't want her to be anomaly because ice anomaly specifically has the lowest damage potential out of all the other elements. Miyabi being a katana wielder, and also being the first playable void hunter, should be pretty META defining in some way.

There`s no point in ice anomaly withot crit dps. So she gonna be either crit dps like Ellen or subdps/support instead of Lycaon. The latter is very unlikely. Personally i want her to change element but that's probably not gonna happen. So they will release her in 2.0 or so and she will creep Ellen to the abyss.
The tank role are pretty complicated. If you can dodge and parry, shield (+hp) or defense are less important. Unless a tank that can make your main dps AUTOMATICALLY dodge/parry then they are not worth invest in.
theres no power creep perse in a skill based game sure theoretically there is but a STUPIDLY piloted new unit will always fall short against someone well versed on his OLDER units look at some bilibili clips and some standard S units there feel like they are limited 5 star cause the pilot seems so good with them

Powercreep will come for every unit, every role, if it didnt then gacha companies cant make you stay on the hamster wheel to pay for new characters. Eventually ZZZ will get the acheron/FF that power creeps all other dps or the adventurine of the support role etc

i disagree with qingyi very hard, i think people are overestimating her a lot, she is not that good on anamoly teams, even for ellen lycaon is better and she is good for current standard and 4 star roster, if you are not using zhu yuan imo dont pick up qingyi and even for zhu my amby alrady gets me A rank on last floor even at level 45 and i dont even have ellens best team and all my supports are level 45 so it can easily be S. Also qingyi is an on field stunner so she wont pair well with future dps who arent bursty like zhu yuan and are instead like ellen who wants to be on field for most of the time. Pls dont pull qingyi for anyone except zhu yuan and even for zhu only do so if you are finding amby annoying to play but again everyone can do what they want this is just my take. I have zhu yuan and i still wont get her cause frankly she isnt needed as of now and for future ill rather pick future units as they will be more catered to future content
@@user-ot4ly9dp1c I can't speak for future but she is only optimal for burst dps(key word is optimal not viable, she is viable for all but not optimal), who knows when they will release another one apart from zhu so thinking that far isn't good specially when we know the upcoming updates are focuses on anamoly and defense. Also even if a future character is good with her, you can always get her on the rerun instead of using your pulls now without knowing what to expect. I'm not saying I know what will happen, I'm saying be cautious and don't pull for future cause the game is too early to tell where it wants to go. Pull for zhu sure but not for "oh she might be good in the future". Personally I won't even pull for zhu but I recognize for most people that's not true as Qingyi is way more comfortable to use than anby.

She's just the best overall Stun unit within the current standards of what a Stun unit is supposed to do. Her kit is very strong, don't get me wrong, but its also very simple. There's nothing there that by itself indicates it will grow with time; it simply means Qingyi will always be able to support any Attack unit well. It's a reliable thing to have but in no way is that immune to powercreep, let alone in the short term. Any growth will come from DPS design, not from Qingyi. You also only need to run two teams at any point and we already know how Qingyi can *not* be the BiS for a team: by adding specialized support abilities like attribute resistance nerfs like Lycaon has. I agree Qingyi is valuable over time if you want to cope that you don't have to pull future new Stun units because you have Qingyi + the free Stun units, but that comes with the caveat that future units will likely prefer others over Qingyi simply because of team synergy bonuses. Let's not kid ourselves: MHY is really good at convincing you to roll new characters. Don't pull Qingyi beacuse you want to not pull more Stun units in the future, do it because you *really* feel like you need her in your account. Over time, her value will *decrease* for older accounts as more new Agents release with utilities that in specific situations do better than Qingyi's teams.
We just need two anomaly characters on a team. I was considering pulling Jane Doe, then skipping Bernice so I can save and pull for Yinagi. Worst case you could make do with an A rank until you get both S rank.
That would make it so her and yanagi would have synergy, however Miyabi being a katan user and being the first playable void hunter I feel like she's just going to be a bursty DPS with an ult that does crazy damage.
Qingyi take is gonna age like milk when they introduce enemies that have low stunned state window making it better to just go atk double support or double anomaly teams
Some enemy is very stun resistant currently, so qingyi will be noticeably slower against those enemy compared to anby but Damn, she feels so much better to play, easier too than the other stun character currently available. I feel like people should pull her based on the qol that she give rather than the powercrept status cause we be playing these unit for a long time before 2.0 hit us with the omega powercrept. I also think all kind of team have their own drawbacks, can easily say if Hoyo decide that some enemy is very resistance to anamoly, then anamoly dps will get weaker in that particular battle or enemy receive lower dmg if they are not stun makes team like ellen double support weaker, or enemy get lower stun window makes burst dps like zhu yuan weaker

There's literally no such thing as powercreep. It's a made up fantasy that people have. Chiori didn't powercreep Albedo in Genshin, she's another option that you can use on the other side of Abyss. Same with Ganyu vs. Ayaka: different playstyle, same with Wriothesley... Neuvi vs. Ayato: SAME THING you can use BOTH on either side. This game is a HYV game. They are intentionally made to be played casually on your commute to work/school. It's propaganda and it's annoying that Content Creators do this B.S. All it does is convince some poor fool that they've "pulled wrongly" or "played wrongly". No. Stop that B.S. "Billy is F tier". Oh yeah? Well, I just easily crushed Shiyu Def. With this "F tier" character. Jane won't power creep Piper because of faction bonuses and the way the two of them play differently. Hoyo games in my experience have been good about powercreep. Even when a new unit comes out that directly is a replacement of your dps, for example, they also give that dps new supports that also buff your character.
So far everything is stack against Soilder 11 from the start she might be the Yanqing of ZZZ, especially if Lighter somehow pull an Dr Ratio treatment originally A rank but got promoted to S rank.
I just thought of something. With the news of lighter’s w engine being changed to S and with the characters we have available right now, Miyabi is gonna powercreep someone no matter what. The only roles she could possibly be are attacker and anomaly. Whether she is ice, fire, electric, ether, or physical..she’s going to powercreep someone from the previous limited banners. If she’s anomaly they’re gonna make her what Acheron is for nihility. A main dps no matter what with huge damage numbers. She powercreeps Ellen regardless as long as she’s ice. She powercreeps Jane if she’s physical. She powercreeps Lighter if she’s fire. Zhu yuan if she’s ether. And Harumasa if she’s electric. If someone’s gonna get powercrept it’s more likely the first limited rather than the more recent ones. And if she’s 1.4 it’ll be 5-6 months depending on what phase not 3 months.
I think the timeline is key. If it's 3 months, people will rightfully be po'ed. If it's 6 months... I have Ellen, but at 6 months I might be bored of her too. With just 3 slots, powercreep will be hard to avoid, there are just too few slots to allow for flex spots.
Just watched a video with iyo and two others and they all agreed rina was the most overated character. Also, that other video came out that is talking about how bad pen is. I actually think qingyi is going to get powercrept quickly. Just because defense characters are also stun characters pretty much. By the time 6 months go by we are probally going to have over 10 defense units/stun units to choose from. Love the vids! Hope your right about rina! I love her design

I think looking at chars "core skill" activation will be a major thing going forward. Lycaon may be good in ice teams, but he's locked into ice teams. Qingyi core is activated with "attack" units meaning she can slide into a LOT of teams. I dont want to go into spoilers for Ceaser and Burnice but they also can slide into other teams. What we got early in the game was "match the element" or faction which narrowed your options.
True, same as ellen will always lock in that ice Teams to perform at max level
And some characters like soldier 11 are kinda cucked atm not having other faction members for now.
Zhu Yuan, Qingyi and Nicole sound like a very future-proof team to me. Good stats all around (multipliers, buffs & debuffs), QY has great AoE stun (and a bit of gather + stagger/push) and Nicole has DEF Shred and amazing Gather. Also overall decent mobility.

Zhu yuan is burst dps so i guess among all 3 you mentioned, she is the most prone to powercreep. If theres another burst dps, qingyi can survive. If theres another ether dps, nicole can survive. I can already imagine a new DPS came out that deals an absurd amount of damage without having to stun the enemy. But ah well we'll see.
IMO Zhu Yuan will not be powercrept for years. That's because her current best team comp's fundamentals are so strong that her team will be able to cover most if not all content.
Burst DPS is ideal in ZZZ because it's about abusing those burst windows in your rotations, which means Qingyi is rewarded for having most of the field time to build up stun faster.
What you're saying doesn't mean Zhu Yuan will be *powercrept*. It means her teammates can use alternatives (such is the nature of supports). Even if that alternative is "better" in that team or element, it does not make Zhu Yuan redundant as she is still strong herself, therefore is not powercrept.
I'm 50/50 on this. I think Zhu Yuan will be powercrept very quickly. However, ZZZ is unlike the other Hoyoverse games in that your personal skill can easily make up for less optimal characters and builds wherein other Hoyoverse games, your skill matters, but not to the same degree. So, as long as your rotations are well planned and executed almost any character can still be good for the foreseeable future.
What's more likely, in my opinion, is that Zhu Yuan will be "comfort creeped." By which I mean that, like Qingyi, the next Ether DPS will have more interruption resistance, I-frames, forgiving combos, etc. that will allow them to deal more damage in the same time frame as Zhu Yuan without having to micromanage things like shot shells. And when we start seeing modifiers like Withering Garden's stun recovery speed on different enemies, Zhu Yuan won't be anywhere near as valuable.
That's assuming they release another Ether dps.
Most of you seem to forget you're going to eventually have a dps for any enemy weakness type.
I was once obsessed with this powercreeep things, but as much getting older, now i don't pursue it anymore and change perspective instead. That's why i just keep building Anby until i get her M6, well just because she's cute and free chara.
i lost it at ZY needs long field time. my guy if you say so you're playing the game wrong. Qin was made to stay on field for much time just to compensate for the fact that ZY is a burst DPS, so you stun, do your rotation, empty the shells and go back to qin. ZY is not like ellen that wants to stay on field to do dmg.
unless you got her M1 i totally agree with ZY doesnt need that much time on field, also Qingyi core passive could make her a quite reliable sub-dps imo.
I think both Seth and Jane deserve a mention. They work very well with disorder teams, and I think they are going to be useful for a long time. Pairing both with an anomaly character that matches the enemy weakness seems like a good strategy.
Atm i don't really see how anomaly characters are gonna do better then the dps stun support we got going on right now.

@@1EnZBosS1disorder was bugged in 1.0, it was supposed to apply daze every time it procced. it is fixed now, so disorder double anomaly teams have no need for a dedicated stunner anymore because theyll proc disorder so many times to stun the enemy. since both anomaly units are applying relatively high damage instead of only one unit in a traditional hypercarry comp being 90% of the damage, the potential damage ceiling could be much higher. imagine burnice and grace together, spamming disorders like crazy combined with their very high uptime anomaly effects, the enemy will always be burned or shocked until they get disorder to proc, and itll get reapplied almost instantly. i think assault also affects the amount of daze disorder does too, so jane doe can help you stun even faster. even if we take damage out of the equation for stuff like freeze and corruption, imagine a pseudo support anomaly ice unit that constantly freezes every enemy on the field for insane crowd control and instead of directly doing damage adds more debuffs to frostbite, or a similar thing for corruption. there is a lot of potential in the anomaly class.

@@zhoennixgaming7615 Atk/Stun are better at the moment because all the currently released Limited units favor that playstyle. Jane and later Burnice are where we will see how they match up to Ellen and Zhu Yuan.
Rina is kinda underrated right now. The moment she will highly shine is when the game decided to release S rank limited electro attacker. Yes, she is currently very good for anomaly team. But her full potential is not seen yet

Tbh, builded Rina and she feels stronger on Ellen team. The Pen Ratio melts some bosses, also nice to point out its waaaay better to play Rina instead of Soukaku, smoother gameplay imo
To me something off is that characters has a "type" of dealing damage (you can see it in the Detailed Stats) This for now are Slash, Pierce and Strike. So I think in the future there will be enemies that are inmune or resistant to "types" of attack. (and maybe they introduce another like blunt).
Bingo. They already have additional damage splits, so now you need Ice Blunt/Pierce/Slash. You can still get elemental bonus, but nulled by wep penalty. So, you still want the 5* without fully nulling a previous pull.
Good call out. I think this is a feature that is coming. I recall seeing some beta footage with ‘SLASHED’ instead of ‘WIPEOUT’ in the kill animations.

The reason Genshin works so well is because the open world gameplay allows characters to differentiate on things like movement techs or flexibility, whereas since ZZZ is ONLY combat, and the ONLY thing that matters is TTK and TTD, power creep is much more of an inevitability.
I think ZZZ will be somewhere between Genshin and Honkai Impact 3rd. HI3 powercreeps their characters way too hard and way too fast IMO while in Genshin, most older 5 star limited characters are still useful and can still clear all content with them, even if they are powercrept.
i dont really see that, character kits in GI still are very heavily combat oriented and their movement or/and exploration/whatever features are just a bonus imo. movement also might be important in zzz, ben is mega slow for example. they could add more bullet hell type bosses that require you to run fast and some characters could capitalize on that.
they could also expand on rally comission type gameplay and make kits that support that. or some TV mode support skills. there are many possibilities
@@whit3devil Ben is slow, but swapping characters is fast, so all you need to do is swap characters, move to target, and swap back. And most DPSes have massive gap-closer abilities.
Movement in ZZZ does not matter enough for movement tech to be relevant. It very much is in Genshin. Yelan is a prime example, a very popular character, even though her combat value is arguably worse than Xingqui, a character most people already have, because her movement tech and the flexibility of using a box make her a much more cozy pick.
@@Regulus37 I beg to differ for HI3. HI3 always give around 2 years of relevancy for any gacha S-rank characters.
All DPS are always subject to type counters (and to small extent, weather if you're doing abyss), except when they introduce a new type and have no counter.
You don't fight Psy type bosses with Mech type, because your dmg will be reduced by 30% simply by not abiding the type-counter rule. Using same Psy type against them are okay, but don't expect beating the top scorer which will be the Bio type, since they have 30% dmg bonus against the countered Psy type.
These type-counter rigging will ensure no new battlesuits will absolutely steal the spotlight of any older gacha S-rank DPS for until about 2 years, where they typically release new battlesuit of the same damage element and typing -which means they directly powercreep the old one of the same element and typing-.
4:42 I agree with all of these things! Those 4 aspects are really the things that make characters valuable.
I believe the most significant one is "Faction Bonuses." Not only because future characters will influence them, but also because they pair with S-Rank bangboo.
We still need a Bangboo for Soukaku and Miyabi's faction. That might be very good.
Rina's problem is you need M1 for her to have any longevity. They are not going to release any electric DPS that can deal a majority of their dmg in a 3 second window. Her puppets simply return to her way too quickly at M0. Other than that I think she is definitely going to have a resurgence a few patches from now when roster evolves and people can either offrate into M1 or use selector on it.

Yea ZZZ is definitely gonna get characters with Herrscherr levels of animation quality. Transformations, multiple ult levels, and different weapons. Just look at Hi3 and you can predict how crazy ZZZ will potentially get.
At the very least I think Ellen animations will hold up better in the long run compared to like Seele.

@@positivelyno I agree, a game like zzz is able to stave off power creep easier because of that. Just look at star rail from a year ago to where it is today. The power level has skyrocketed in comparison. Star Rail doesnt have as much "skill expression" due to it being turn based.

Certain characters feel incomplete without their lightcones (like most recently, Yunli). They're taking advantage of the fact that it's a 75/25 by putting more incentives in lightcones. The difference between an E0S0 and E0S1 Acheron is insane in regards to QoL.
I don't pull every new release cuz I'm F2P, but man, I'm severely struggling in PF and AS right now cuz I don't got like Ruan Mei or Robin. I don't got Firefly or Boothill. My Ratio team is struggling cuz he's the hypercarry and he takes a while to break enemies one by one with the Herta LC and decent relics.
It's insane how much QoL new characters give you in beating endgame. I remember when I got Acheron and she's literally been trivializing every form of content, until we got the most recent AS.
I think defense characters will be very relevant if we get more modes like the new Shiyu defense where its less about time and more about survivability
If you look at leaks, you'll also find that defense characters also provide supportive utility, which may cause them to outshine supports in certain team comps for the sake of comfort, such as in that new Shiyu Defense mode you're talking about.

Defense characters are already desirable in the newest set of Shiyu nodes (Distributed Node) where S-rank completions require all team members to survive, and there’s no real time limit. I thought this was a smart addition by Hoyo, and flips the script on the typical ‘just burn it down as fast as you can’ strats.
Tbf from what we know about Seth and Ceaser’s kit they actually function more like a buff support and a stunner, so they don’t really affect how long your team will live, Ben is the only one to apply a team shield
I don know what is in Caesar’s kit, but in Seth’s case, his utility as a Defense oriented character is that he can soak more damage than a usual character while still performing combos against the attacker. He has anti-interrupt on all his skills, and has 40% dmg resist and invulnerability while using his special. From there the goal is to perform a normal attack combo (or chain attack) to trigger a quick assist where his resolve shield will swap to the incoming character. He’s a setup man and I think the play is to keep him on the field as much as possible, only bringing in the hitters for burst damage or stun.
@@dexcharisma4805 Seth gets his resolve from doing defensive assists, so he really shouldn’t be on the field that often, especially since his main obvious pairing is Jane who’s mechanic demands she stay on field very often
@@rain6539 His charged special which he can combo into in various ways generates resolve and is a lot more reliable than def assists. He’s a great pair with Jane for her evasion and burst, but for defensive shiyunodes I’m leaning on defense characters and not worrying so much about keeping my squishy damage dealers in harms way. Particularly against the hardest defense shiyu fight which I won’t spoil. They simply hit too hard, too fast.
The thing about Caesar, atm in beta she has the fastest Daze build out of every character now. So I'd say Defense will be viable in that they're ability to build that gauge the fastest and counter/tank will be their selling point.
As of 1.1, all my S-rank characters are Soldier 11, Ellen, Koleda, Nekomata, and Qingyi (I want both Rina and Grace but my S-rank roster is pretty great so I'm not THAT salty). My 2 teams are Ellen/Qingyi/Soukaku and S11/Koleda/Lucy. I already built Soukaku and Lucy and now working on building Nicole. I'm hoping to get Jane because I love her fast-paced gameplay but I'm fine even if I don't get her. Caesar and Burnice I still don't have info about so I can't say if I'm pulling or skipping.
As someone commented in the other video, Miyabi will most likely be an ICE Attack agent if they are sticking to her being an ICE agent and not an Ice ANOMALY

Haven't seen this team much but Nicole feels like the best A rank cause also can fit and be built as a anomaly trigger for disorder as an alternative when playing in the specific team of Grace - Nicole - Anton. Its very niche and very special since you need to manage all 3 time since all of them can have fast rotations, also making it a very unique playstyle and very difficult too, but can be a good startpoint since only needs grace as an option + anton, making it not needed to compete with piper (also thosd who don't like her much), but also for building her in a very flexible slot for be there, since she can also be switched to a main dps team too.
Would be cool to cover the anomaly playstyle of nicole, since there is not a lot of info about this playstyle of nicole yet, but makes it even more interesting since makes nicole more than just a support and makes her shine in even more teams
Her debuff is only 3.5 seconds, require a precise timing of anomaly proc

I don't think they'll ever add dual-typing into the game, especially if you look at Genshin and Star Rail as an example. And even if they did, there's no way they would add them this early.

one thing to note about powercreep is, lets say Miyabi is officialy out as the Ice attacker, a seemingly better Ellen in all different aspects.
It wont drop Ellen from Tier 0 tier 4 right away. At most Ellen would still be a decent pickup at T0,5.
People mostly mistook powercreep as a negative term as straight up change the character from usable to benched/trashed/mid, but in all fairness they are not. But then again powercreep is inevitable in Gacha game, its just a matter of how fast that one unit would be pcreeped. Gacha companies are in fact first and foremost a business model aimed to make money, ofc at some point they have to introduce new character that is superior than their previous characters (because if they arent, people would just keep using that other previous one they had already)
Bro saying theres no hard enemies , no s no sodge no shielding , bruh .. did you even play the game ? My most hated enemy is litteraly the teleporting i frame dude that hits you from nowhere like 4 times , especially if he paird with another enemy. PAIN
And don't forget, that we now have Jane as a boss (especially her variation in Obsidian mission), so I think devs will put more and more enemies like that, alongside with types like Razor (tanky, hit hard, many attacks but no mobility).

Elen is insane crowd control DPS, she is S++ character - super fast movment, crazy crowd DPS and single boss DPS.
18:00 100% a new permanent mode will be catered to defense units. They don't have any identity now and 5* unit release will change it similar to Argenti making Herta/Himiko super relevant.
Probably will be catered towards defense, but still clearable for someone who has good reflexes tho.
Yeah kinda the whole issue with defense units is that I rather just not get hit, and if you dont care about their defensive capabilities they are going to be just watered down supports
@@diegoacosta2915 A point brought up elsewhere... the majority of the market is cell phones, right? If that's the case, controls aren't as tight, a lot easier to make mistakes. Not saying you can't play well, there are gods on cell phones too, but most people aren't and the controls aren't helping.
This is all to say, for people who need/would like a little cushioning, shields are gigantic. It's the difference between wiping and not and that's a premium for those kinds of folk.
If you've got the skills to pay the bills, I don't think Caesar will be that huge (unless they really want to move units) but I can still see her being very successful.
@@Gutockexactly but some characters have long animations like piper a shield with anti interrupt and will make rotations more smoother. Especially when enemies are constantly attacking.

I think Piper will hold on reasonably well. Piper can boost your team damage, and she's arguably the best A rank right now. But she is going to have more competition than the supports.

Qingyi is a lot easier to use for me esp as I play mostly on mobile. I think Caesar will help me a lot with shield just like zhongli does in Genshin.
I've been preaching Nicole to everyone I know playing this game. I think if you have a specific team you'd rather have more niche supports for she might be a little less effective as a unit, but for generic use cases and for Ether teams she's clearly the best support in the game by leaps and bounds. For me I'm using Zhu Yuan team as my main content clear and Nicole is absolutely insane with the value she provides. It's not even close with any of the other supports.
Looking to the future Jane Doe looks like really high investment value long term, potentially even being a key role in Anomaly teams going forward.
We already have Seth who is a def that is good for anomaly teams and it seems. I think in the future they might even introduce double element or characters that are defense but do a completely different thing, like stun or build anomaly.
Would be funny if Miyabi is electro and ice. Normal and EX are electro and the ultimate is imbued with ice in a big front loaded damage,lol.
Is tough anyway, Seth and Jane are very good but anomaly is also very reliant on the enemy resistances and overall kit which at the moment is still new.
I will try to get Seth just to have him but I will skip Jane, we already have Piper and Neko as physical dps.
Well consider one of the Hollow Zero zones includes a Low-Life mode built into it, Defense units have a good reason to exist if they make more content like that.
So I've been very lucky with my pulls still pulling for Jane tho so wish me luck. But I do believe if you C 6 or C4 a A rank character they can still compete with S rank Characters or at least the gap in power won't be so wide for a good while.

I for sure thought you were going to say Jane Doe and Burnice as either #1 or your wild cards. They're both pretty crazy as it seems right now, and I think we're on the cusp of an anomaly meta. Miyabi might be released to herald the glorious return of the attack type meta. I could be wrong tho and they just release her as our limited electric attacker in 1.3, who knows...
I just don't think Caeser be power crept soon either. So essetinally, I think you hit the nail on the hammer with that wild card for Caesar.

Also, Miyabi will have to be ice. Since we already know she uses it when showed off her ability against Nineveh. So real question is, She's either attack or Anamoly. This could either be a Pseduo buff for ellen or fairly quick power creep.
Would not be surprised if Miyabi ends up adding wind attribute back into the game.

So I'm new to Gacha games and I'm really enjoying Z3 but I have a couple questions. What does "TLDR" stand for? What does "Proc" mean? and what does it mean to "Brick" your account?
Miyabi is gonna powercreep Ellen so i think they are either gonna release her really late or they are gonna change her kit so that you can play them both on the same team. I think if they change her element that would change of lot of planning in what Hoyoverse wants to be meta, but I suppose that is also possible.
All stun units so far increase stun multiplier but Qingyi has the highest ratio and is versatile with literally any attacker. Lycaon is locked to team synergy with 35%, Koleda as well at 70%, while Qingyi sits on a whopping 80% with no synergy needed.
Koleda doesn't amplify stun windows, she amplifies chain attacks which is exponentially weaker when compared to other counterparts because stun characters slot into main carry teams much more than anything else, and everyones chain attacks vary greatly in usefulness. The thing that Koleda absolutely has going for her is that she is better at burst stunning and does not require significant field time.
That Jane Doe boss on HDD really push me to use juggle type of combat, tho she has an escape route on juggle, I manage to deal significant amount of damage and daze everytime I manage to juggle her. Hopefully we can have more boss like her that pushes you to use complex game mechanics
yeah with jane boss, now i know hoyo capable for giving us very hard boss with high mechanics, but i think they will add it slowly.. because not every player is hardcore
I think Soukaku boosting ice damage kind of guarantees Miyabi being ice since they’re in the same faction. Anomaly is coming in each patch so far with Jane and Burnice, so ice anomaly seems very likely.

Not only is miyabi popular but Ellen is too. Ive seen a lot of fan art and half of it is Ellen. 40% anby. Well there's also a lot of lycaon art but I don't visit places where that's at. But because of Ellen's popularity it seems even more odd that they would introduce competition for her as an ice attacker. I'm hoping they make miyabi an electric attack unit. But we'll have to see.
Also, looking at Seths kit, I feel like he could end up aging really well. He's really useful for anomaly teams so i could see him really synergizing well with future anomaly units.
Lastly, no character is going to be powercrept tomorrow. And even once one is, it will likely not be by a lot this early on.
Qingyi is undoubtedly really powerful but I'm still stunning just fine with anby. I don't see it getting to the point that you can't do content or something with the 1.1 era units for quite awhile.
Unless/Until they rerun her, shes not making them any money from them anymore and there's no way to make an ice team with an ice attacker right now without ellen.

@@sparhawk2195 Zhongli is basically Genshin's best shielder. If you have him, you can pretty much face-tank everything. I've been playing with my friend, who does not have him, and it makes the game several times harder. His shields also shred enemy res, and he leaves a construct on-field that damages mobs and produces crystals that provide further shielding. He was introduced in 2020 and a character added last year actually uses those crystals as ammo. A team with the two of them is a blast to play (literally, lol.) I'm a little skeptical that Caesar will be *that* good, but I hope she is. Frankly, plenty of Genshin's introductory characters are still very, very good in endgame content, so hopefully ZZZ will follow suit. I'm more interested in fun playstyles than big numbers.

I think Caeser will be very strong. Being the first defense limited char, has to be good. Otherwise, people will always think future defense chars are bad.
When we get a specific stunner for electric, fire, physical, and ether dps then qingyi will be useless. Generalists are only good early game

I agree with you that Rina is underrated and future proof, but I don't think she's an *obvious* upgrade to Nicole in that team. Really comparing them involves several nuances as they're both good options, so I'm open to advice from analysts such as yourself.

My guess is that Miyabi will be ice anomaly, it just makes the most sense as I don't think they'd drastically change her functions or element (as that would kinda jack up her synergy with soukaku who's in her faction) but as anomaly she can still be somewhat of a dps without directly power creeping Ellen.
She can be an ice attacker and not power creep ellen. Attackers can serve multiple purposes. You have on Field DPS (like Ellen), and you have more burst oriented DPS (Corin, Zhu Yuan). Miyabi could fall under the burst dps category making her style of play and potential team comps different than Ellen's. I don't want her to be anomaly because ice anomaly specifically has the lowest damage potential out of all the other elements. Miyabi being a katana wielder, and also being the first playable void hunter, should be pretty META defining in some way.

There`s no point in ice anomaly withot crit dps. So she gonna be either crit dps like Ellen or subdps/support instead of Lycaon. The latter is very unlikely.

The tank role are pretty complicated. If you can dodge and parry, shield (+hp) or defense are less important. Unless a tank that can make your main dps AUTOMATICALLY dodge/parry then they are not worth invest in.
theres no power creep perse in a skill based game sure theoretically there is but a STUPIDLY piloted new unit will always fall short against someone well versed on his OLDER units look at some bilibili clips and some standard S units there feel like they are limited 5 star cause the pilot seems so good with them

Powercreep will come for every unit, every role, if it didnt then gacha companies cant make you stay on the hamster wheel to pay for new characters. Eventually ZZZ will get the acheron/FF that power creeps all other dps or the adventurine of the support role etc

i disagree with qingyi very hard, i think people are overestimating her a lot, she is not that good on anamoly teams, even for ellen lycaon is better and she is good for current standard and 4 star roster, if you are not using zhu yuan imo dont pick up qingyi and even for zhu my amby alrady gets me A rank on last floor even at level 45 and i dont even have ellens best team and all my supports are level 45 so it can easily be S. Also qingyi is an on field stunner so she wont pair well with future dps who arent bursty like zhu yuan and are instead like ellen who wants to be on field for most of the time. Pls dont pull qingyi for anyone except zhu yuan and even for zhu only do so if you are finding amby annoying to play but again everyone can do what they want this is just my take. I have zhu yuan and i still wont get her cause frankly she isnt needed as of now and for future ill rather pick future units as they will be more catered to future content
The issue is, you're looking at her in regards to our current roster. Characters like herself gain more value over time as more units release
@@user-ot4ly9dp1c I can't speak for future but she is only optimal for burst dps(key word is optimal not viable, she is viable for all but not optimal), who knows when they will release another one apart from zhu so thinking that far isn't good specially when we know the upcoming updates are focuses on anamoly and defense. Also even if a future character is good with her, you can always get her on the rerun instead of using your pulls now without knowing what to expect. I'm not saying I know what will happen, I'm saying be cautious and don't pull for future cause the game is too early to tell where it wants to go. Pull for zhu sure but not for "oh she might be good in the future". Personally I won't even pull for zhu but I recognize for most people that's not true as Qingyi is way more comfortable to use than anby.

She's just the best overall Stun unit within the current standards of what a Stun unit is supposed to do. Her kit is very strong, don't get me wrong, but its also very simple. There's nothing there that by itself indicates it will grow with time; it simply means Qingyi will always be able to support any Attack unit well. It's a reliable thing to have but in no way is that immune to powercreep, let alone in the short term. Any growth will come from DPS design, not from Qingyi. You also only need to run two teams at any point and we already know how Qingyi can *not* be the BiS for a team: by adding specialized support abilities like attribute resistance nerfs like Lycaon has.
I agree Qingyi is valuable over time if you want to cope that you don't have to pull future new Stun units because you have Qingyi + the free Stun units, but that comes with the caveat that future units will likely prefer others over Qingyi simply because of team synergy bonuses. Let's not kid ourselves: MHY is really good at convincing you to roll new characters. Don't pull Qingyi beacuse you want to not pull more Stun units in the future, do it because you *really* feel like you need her in your account. Over time, her value will *decrease* for older accounts as more new Agents release with utilities that in specific situations do better than Qingyi's teams.

That would make it so her and yanagi would have synergy, however Miyabi being a katan user and being the first playable void hunter I feel like she's just going to be a bursty DPS with an ult that does crazy damage.

Qingyi take is gonna age like milk when they introduce enemies that have low stunned state window making it better to just go atk double support or double anomaly teams
Some enemy is very stun resistant currently, so qingyi will be noticeably slower against those enemy compared to anby but Damn, she feels so much better to play, easier too than the other stun character currently available. I feel like people should pull her based on the qol that she give rather than the powercrept status cause we be playing these unit for a long time before 2.0 hit us with the omega powercrept. I also think all kind of team have their own drawbacks, can easily say if Hoyo decide that some enemy is very resistance to anamoly, then anamoly dps will get weaker in that particular battle or enemy receive lower dmg if they are not stun makes team like ellen double support weaker, or enemy get lower stun window makes burst dps like zhu yuan weaker
i alrdy know qingyi gonna be long term meta, (have to skip zhuyuan coz alrdy have ellen, f2p btw) .. as for ceaser i have seen the leaks she gonna be jack of all trades, good at everything evenly .. but does not exceed at particular niche

There's literally no such thing as powercreep. It's a made up fantasy that people have. Chiori didn't powercreep Albedo in Genshin, she's another option that you can use on the other side of Abyss. Same with Ganyu vs. Ayaka: different playstyle, same with Wriothesley... Neuvi vs. Ayato: SAME THING you can use BOTH on either side. This game is a HYV game. They are intentionally made to be played casually on your commute to work/school. It's propaganda and it's annoying that Content Creators do this B.S. All it does is convince some poor fool that they've "pulled wrongly" or "played wrongly". No. Stop that B.S. "Billy is F tier". Oh yeah? Well, I just easily crushed Shiyu Def. With this "F tier" character. Jane won't power creep Piper because of faction bonuses and the way the two of them play differently. Hoyo games in my experience have been good about powercreep. Even when a new unit comes out that directly is a replacement of your dps, for example, they also give that dps new supports that also buff your character.
So far everything is stack against Soilder 11 from the start she might be the Yanqing of ZZZ, especially if Lighter somehow pull an Dr Ratio treatment originally A rank but got promoted to S rank.

The only roles she could possibly be are attacker and anomaly. Whether she is ice, fire, electric, ether, or physical..she’s going to powercreep someone from the previous limited banners. If she’s anomaly they’re gonna make her what Acheron is for nihility. A main dps no matter what with huge damage numbers. She powercreeps Ellen regardless as long as she’s ice. She powercreeps Jane if she’s physical. She powercreeps Lighter if she’s fire. Zhu yuan if she’s ether. And Harumasa if she’s electric. If someone’s gonna get powercrept it’s more likely the first limited rather than the more recent ones. And if she’s 1.4 it’ll be 5-6 months depending on what phase not 3 months.
I think the timeline is key. If it's 3 months, people will rightfully be po'ed. If it's 6 months... I have Ellen, but at 6 months I might be bored of her too. With just 3 slots, powercreep will be hard to avoid, there are just too few slots to allow for flex spots.

Just watched a video with iyo and two others and they all agreed rina was the most overated character. Also, that other video came out that is talking about how bad pen is. I actually think qingyi is going to get powercrept quickly. Just because defense characters are also stun characters pretty much. By the time 6 months go by we are probally going to have over 10 defense units/stun units to choose from. Love the vids! Hope your right about rina! I love her design
Thank goodness Iyo said it, now I know Rina will be the longest lasting standard character and her Pen buff will have incredible longevity. 🎉
