Hard Mode or Challenge mode both just gave more challenge for those who prefer to have a casual play, if those players are dissatisfied with how easy it was, then there are Shinyu Defense ready to greet you, some people want to enjoy playing without getting their ass beaten up countless times and progress with the story, but if you feel like it's still not 'hard' enough and are not 'challenging' enough like souls games, please try to understand that both games are different.
One tip no one ever covers is to not sleep on the bamboo general store. I don't know which tab it was but one of them had character upgrade materials and stuff like that. That's valuable energy you could reserve. Granted it there was only like four ice skill things in there but that was pretty much 50 or 60 energy worth of material

About discs, i actually recommend you to get at least full gear for your main 3 (not full sets, just full 6 pieces of gear) because even a full 6 pieces of blue gear is better than running around with no discs at all.
Some unit really need 4 piece set because they are really good even with bad stat . For example fire set is busted even with low stat so i agree you need at least 6 slot but with 4 from a good set for your char
I've been running Piper, Ben, Lucy because I like all of them. Piper is functioning as primary DPS (even tho she's labeled as Anomaly, she can deal a LOT of dmg), Ben is great for facetanking large or annoying enemies, and Lucy is just there to drop a nuke and leave every time I swap to her. I'm also level 26 right now and I haven't really had much trouble with my un-optimized team. It's important to note that there is *technically* synergy between every single character in the game, because of how Disorder works. I can have 2 Fire, 1 Physical on my party and swapping between them at the right cadence will proc Disorder in addition to Burn and Assault. I'm assuming it'll be a good idea at some point to run a more optimized team comp, but idk I'm just having fun right now.
You can change the skill keybind to one of your mouse side buttons (if you have any) to do Nicole's moves on PC, you can do the WASD rotation while skilling with 2 hands so it's not awkward
Actually for example ellen joes best f2p option is a B rank engine unless you have the S5 A rank engines and even then it's only like 5% behind so it's definitely worth it building B rank engines depending on which one it is and on whoever
Btw the factions and elements do play big roles as you stated, factions increase your dodge, counter and such but elements increase their own element so like 2 ice types (Ellen and Aku) Ellen is an ice dps and so she has increase ice dam and crit and Aku is an ice supp she increase ice dam and decreases ice resistance (I know this cuz I have both of them) and now I do wonder what happens if you have a team that has both element and factions but there isn't any teams you can make as of right now that can do that
I play on Challenge mode because I'm trying to actually practice my combos for when the game does eventually get hard. The enemies still only take a few seconds to kill with bosses taking maybe a minute or two tops. The more health they have the more I can practicing chain comboing and getting the character rotations I want.
I did the exact opposite with my resource management. I like being able to switch out people and I think you do get enough resourese to do so because I've yet had to sit and grind for one specific resource.
I got really lucky on my gacha pulls because the 5 star i got was lycaon. My current team is lycaon corin and soukaku, but I’ll replace corin with Ellen when i get her
personally i never had a shortage of resources to upgrade my characters, engines, and bangboos the only time i didnt have a resource was when i didnt progress far enough in the story to get them
Note: Always do the scratch off at the news stand every day! I got 40 pull currency 2 days in a row from the scratch off! Worth the dennies and well worth the chance of some luck at free pull currency.
I’m putting Corin on the ice team because it’s illegal for people of different factions to work together. I only use the free team right now until I have a high enough level.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t the residual signal weapon engines only for the standard banner/free characters. Especially if you want Ellen or Ellen’s w-engine (or any limited character/limited w-engine), wouldn’t it make more sense to get the tapes
They're the standard weapons but that doesn't mean other characters can't use them. Though from my short look, they don't seem as universal as some of the weapons in Genshin and Star Rail. So I too am trying to figure out which is more worth it. May depend on which characters you have/want, like example being wolf man's may be worth getting if you really like him, but maybe not.
Aggression is based on the enemy type, not challenge mode afaik. I only play on challenge mode, while my wife plays casual, and she just doesn't take damage and everything dies quick. I need to at least do some combos and parries to catch up. Later enemies attack faster and have longer combos
My team has been Koleda, Anby, and Lucy since I started. I don't like how Anton feels when playing so I just used Anby, but my team feels frush and fun. Lucy is just fun having on any team. Also, I know a lot of people suggest putting Ben on a Koleda team, but he feels way to clunky
No bro, dont listen to that people, lucy is way better thx to her buff. They talk about ben because they have 1 animation diferent whe you use koleda, but nothing really important. The team for koleda shoul be: fire dps/koleda/lucy. I still dont have soldier 11 so im running anton in the team for the moment.
I think Ben is pretty fun to play and a hell of a lot less clunky than I thought he would be ae. I was using him with Neko and Lucy as they a fun team to use together but now I’ve got piper she works so much better with neko

He’s great for hi special being a shield that can also damage enemies. If you hold the special it will shield from damage whereas simply pressing it once will use it to hurt them .
I probably won't agree with "follow the main story". It wants you to reach higher levels and side quests help a lot with this. Other than dailies and energy you can't really get a lot of xp for the next lvl. So go ahead and do them if you want! 🖤
Not me pulling desperately on stable search to get Lycaon because I KEEP PULLING SOUKAKU and she's currently the only Section 6 character in the game and thus requires another ice agent in order to get her ability... and both other ice agents are S-ranks >
And you're busy with other stuff and having fun to even worry adout pulling since some characters have really fun play styles which can make you save for a character you like
Do also side quest when you can talk to other people even if they dont have quest above. And also dont skip the conversation cause that will be hint what they need.
I see, so I am going to need to at the moment prioritize either my Grace, or Ellen. I have been using Grace, but I got Ellen recently, and considering what the video says, I would need to prioritize my Grace team for now, as I have the appropriate characters that all have those smiley faces, however that one was a mono electric team, so it wouldn't be too versatile. It has Grace, Anby, and Anton. I don't know exactly how good the team is, but it has been able to handle what I have faced so far. My level is either 23 or 24 according to memory. I have also been prioritising using my charge on stuff like promoting characters, or levelling the characters skills.
What if I don't have an attack type that's not Billy? Lmao. I've been using Koleda, Ben, and Nicole cause I don't have multiple characters of the same element or faction other than the starting cast.

You're loco if you think there's no reason to spend poli standard banner pulls. You choose a 5 star after 200 pulls on the standard banner and the characters are really solid. If you already get Ellen and you really want Lycaon, You should definitely drop currency on default banner.
I'm commenting just to let you know, yes the challenge mode doesn't feel challenging but might as well go for the most of it since we might stop playing at one point.

Main story: Yeah but again you can't follow the story without coins without character levels without resources so Free2play will be forced anyway to do them. Plus even if you somehow manage to beat the story you won't do 3 stars so your logic is ehhh i mean I don't play in losing double the time redoing every story mission again just to 3star them that's just wasting time. And while you're at the dog NPC get the new newsletter you have daily quests those are a must do.

It's crazy because i heard that you should do as many as side quests during the story because those side quests would het locked off forever and lose awards.
@@q_cola_roja_p You can to unlock most things, but Im usually like that guy who also likes to do side quests along the way as a completionist. BUT that doesnt you have to do them, you can just do the main story and go back to them afterwards since you will need to anyways later for the investigation points for promotion. So you aren't locked out honestly if you bum rush the main story.
The exploration ones have very little to no combat so I just trigger the part where they give me the commission, it gets added to my schedule and I do them when I feel like it. I don’t even think it progresses time if you accept the quests. I take all of them and then when I go to do them they’re all waiting in the HDD for me to do.
I wanna quit this game so bad but I change my mind cuz now I got Ellen in 10 pull and Rina and grace so I'll stick to this game and see where it takes me

I noticed this today - it resets weekly, just grab the first four items from them (its not a lot of dennies) but it will save you energy

The only thing I'd recommend challenge mode for is for the free polychrome you get after completing one commission like that for the first time.

It's crazy because i heard that you should do as many as side quests during the story because those side quests would het locked off forever and lose awards.
Their not locked off some of those side quests are only active during certain parts of the day.

@@q_cola_roja_p You can to unlock most things, but Im usually like that guy who also likes to do side quests along the way as a completionist. BUT that doesnt you have to do them, you can just do the main story and go back to them afterwards since you will need to anyways later for the investigation points for promotion. So you aren't locked out honestly if you bum rush the main story.
The exploration ones have very little to no combat so I just trigger the part where they give me the commission, it gets added to my schedule and I do them when I feel like it. I don’t even think it progresses time if you accept the quests. I take all of them and then when I go to do them they’re all waiting in the HDD for me to do.

nope ... does lets you practise a bit more if you need through them not dying as fast

I'd swap out amby as double stun isn't great. But lycaon and sokaku are amazing together so go off.

TBH I just use whoever I like and put them in a team that works. So, I went Anton - Billy - Anby. Got full team bonus for every character and I can also use my fave's.
