Ethan mentioned to Seán, early on when they began The Brain Leak Podcast, that he thinks people have stopped babying him as much as they used to after his Creator Clash 2 victory. He’s probably right, but it’s a shame it took this long for more people to appreciate what he’s capable of accomplishing.
@@Lesley_RedRhodyit’s the curse of the babyface. If I hadn’t already known, I probably wouldn’t have guessed that Ethan is two years older than me by just looking at him. It probably doesn’t help that he has such an energetic personality, I know from experience that being happy and energetic all the time make people percieve you as younger. But the man is 27 years old, he is in fact not a baby and I’m happy that he’s being less babied now
@@clarasundqvist6013 I also think people tend to mistake someone’s goofy, online personas for who they really are when the camera isn’t rolling. Not to say they’re disingenuous. But Ethan, Seán and Arin immediately come to mind where underestimating a person’s abilities are concerned.

Ethan keeping a tight lid on the technical difficulties and Trey fixing them is a Thankmas miracle. It's stressful enough putting on a live show, having the thought that it was going so wrong in the back of your mind would have been so much more stress.
Oofs, least there were folks to step in & save the day. It can be stressful when performing a live show & a livestream, never know what could happen. That's why its great to have a trustworthy tech team by your side. Props to Eef, Trey, & backstage crew who where there for the stream 👏 Quite a Short Story, Keep It Up Bro 🍀 😎 👊
Yeah Trey!!!! Honestly man, no clue how you fixed the stream but cudos and thank you so much for keeping the tradition alive! Thankmas tradition would have died without you! Thanks Ethan for keeping Shawn’s head in the game and keeping the stage’s atmosphere light and excitable!
Thank you to Ethan and Trey for saving this. Thankmas really also wouldn’t have been possible without you guys. (Also again thank you Trey for using my clip of chat freaking out for this short. It means the world ❤)
Always love Ethan and Trey for this! Happy thankmas (even though/because it happened), and have a merry Christmas (I will probably say this on the video on Christmas if there is one)
Personally I hope it's the last year it's a live audience. In theory I think it was a good idea and maybe in the theater it was a different vibe, but via streaming it was distracting and chaotic and not in a good way. But I am ecstatic to see the broken records of donations and glad to be a part of those myself ❤
To me, on paper, doing a stream with a live audience is a good idea, but when it produces, that's a whole different ballgame. You're always hearing people yelling and screaming and all that stuff. I wouldn't do a big time stream in front of an audience because I have ADHD much like Sean and my ADHD would be going up the wah-zoo.
I work in live production, and let me tell you in all sincerity… Ethan making the call not to tell you so you can continue to do your thing and stay focused without the added stress of worrying about an issue that you can’t do anything to fix…that’s a super professional producer move.
ethan knowing exactly how to keep you from breaking then and trey putting forward to get it right so it wouldnt break u later is so bro code and THANKS TO THEM ♥
Yeah I’m so glad the lag was fixed, I took off work for the whole day and was so excited, got my fiancée to watch it with me for the second year in a row, and then it was broken, and sad, everyone else was leaving the stream it felt like, and I bet a bunch people couldn’t find it to start watching when it first aired (and then re-aired) and because they wouldn’t they just didn’t watch or bother to go back. I feel like it pushed away a lot of new watchers, which is very sad, but once it was up and rolling again everyone was so positive and hype about it, the intro played again, and they really made it smooth for us online watchers so I truly appreciate everyone!!!! We made thankmas a great thing out of a terrible start, and it was still so great!
Im tearing up the whole time but the grandpa part got me crying. My granpa died last 2022 and it still hurts, now matpat is saying good bye and and idk adulting sucks man HAHHAHAHAHA i felt like i was just 14 watching the first fnaf theory now im 23 and everyone is leaving but still loving me from afar, wherever they are.
The previous record holder is an Australian man out of Melbourne (if I remember right). He's a youtuber who has shared his fascinating life story and his involvement with the video-game industry, both on the legitimate side and the piracy side when he was a kid. Anyone who has fascinations with the old-school piracy scene that people like Modern Vintage Gamer have shared about, check out "The Last Gamer", and the series where he shares his life called "Story Mode". The Story Mode series ended a little over a year ago, but I won't forget the impact it had on me personally. Up until about 6 months ago, he was reuploading old vlogs for preservation of media because he had many taken down for music copyright from the game music he used.
Sean is blesses with this Kind, Helpful and Amazing people... well time to donate my December Salary and Bonus to Thankmass (I have savings dont worry😂)
I came across this guy‘s account because I saw this video that is so old and it went like this. Hey Vegeta, how many more subscribers do I have now Vegeta: over 9000!?!
Thank you Ethan and Trey for being in Sean's corner.
Amen
Amen
Honestly Ethan doesn't get enough shoutouts but he truly is the goat with his people skills.

I almost lost $3 in the washing machine
@IAmJustAPersonLoll12 I will follow but btw not many people will see your comment because it’s right under one also I lost 2 cents in the washer 😢😢

Thank you to everyone who made it possable. Ethan for saving Sean's sanity, and Trey for saving the entire show!
Sometimes people not knowing is okay because there is less stress 😅
yup! good on Ethan for keeping that in mind
Literally where "ignorance is bliss" comes from.
when "the show must go on", it's definitely better when the person running the show doesn't know something's wrong
@@bagelisdead Depends largely on what it is. If someone with a gun enters I think they should be notified. If it's small tech issues they don't need to know.
My ex did that when she cheated on me, i really would've preferred to know 😅
That lag at the beginning was unbearable. I almost thought that I wouldn’t be able to watch this year’s Thankmas.
Same, they got it back up in like 20 minutes though so it ended ok

St. Eef is the friend we all need
sean definitely would’ve had, like, an aneurysm if they told him the system was down mid show
I love you Jack! Glad this problem was resolved lol.
Shout out to Ethan and Trey for being real ones
Trey really said hold my beer
Jeez that was lucky thank god for ethan and trey

"Hey vegta, how many subscribes do i have now?"
"Over 9 thousand"
Yeah Trey!!!! Honestly man, no clue how you fixed the stream but cudos and thank you so much for keeping the tradition alive! Thankmas tradition would have died without you! Thanks Ethan for keeping Shawn’s head in the game and keeping the stage’s atmosphere light and excitable!

Trey is so underrated. Dude is good at everything he does
Honestly great job Trey for doing that. Trey is such a hood editor, I'm glad Jack hired him.
Thank you to Ethan and Trey for saving this. Thankmas really also wouldn’t have been possible without you guys. (Also again thank you Trey for using my clip of chat freaking out for this short. It means the world ❤)
I was so glad that problem got resolved, and I feel great that I donated $2 to a good cause :)
ethan is honestly such a real one
Ethan and Trey coming in clutch!
I really respect Ethan being like “there’s nothing he can do to fix it so don’t tell him”
He seems like such a good friend
Eef and Trey what heroes
"Hey vegeta, how many subscribers do i have?"
"OVER 9,000!!"
10yrs ago.....
i almost lost 5 dollars and homework in my dog
My dog thought my math textbook was a toy and started throwing it around the house.
Y’all know each other so well lol 😂😂❤
I think editor tray should get a big bonus
I'm sorry to hear that happened.

There were hidden angles to help make the virtual part of the show work and I'm thankful for that.
You have good friends, Sean. Never take that for granted.
Always love Ethan and Trey for this! Happy thankmas (even though/because it happened), and have a merry Christmas (I will probably say this on the video on Christmas if there is one)
The lag was really bad. Thank goodness they got it fixed.

Ethan and Trey, the MVPs of Thankmas!

This UA-cam short started lagging the moment he mentioned “lag” I was tripping out
Oh no. I'm glad Ethan did that, that would have been so distressing and would have killed the vibes. And major props to Trey, too. Good people!

Mr. Ethan and Mr. Trey are some good friends ❤
(just in case…the Mr., Ms. etc. is a force of habit. I can’t not lol. I feel the Southern gods getting ready to smite me if I omit it 😂😂)
Damn that money would change my life
I didn’t watch it because:
1. I thought it was my WiFi
2. I thought it had ended
Sean is blesses with this Kind, Helpful and Amazing people... well time to donate my December Salary and Bonus to Thankmass (I have savings dont worry😂)
