"All I can taste is PAIN! ......let's try it again." That's definitely a mood. Kinda sounds like my life, actually.
Spice lovers be like :
The 'hit me baby one more time' was so well timed there too haha
Average spice lover trying to avoid the masochist allegations:
Me at the bar:
Literal definition of insanity. Doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result
"All this food for only $17"
Really letting those New York sensibilities shine.
Yea that was wild. $17 for $3 worth of slop.
@@m---- Compared to his previous 12 dollar donuts, this is crazy cheap.
I live where that won’t buy you a burger
@@m---- What's it like to have such terrible taste?
New York is legit cheaper than Nashville
10:15 is the most emotion he’ll ever show on this channel every 😭😭😭
Why do i feel so bad for him 🤣😭
His voice has emotion, omg......
He showed the same level of emotion in other(s) video.
Is cute tho
@@rankamoeba4979 OMFG your such a fucking teachers pet oml, I wasn't being literal
haha true
It's nice to see futurecanoe's confidence slowly growing through these vlogs.
@@Blag_Cogbecause it's not about us, man.
@@Blag_Cog chill
@@Blag_Cog personally I don't really enjoy the depressed thing, the vlogs are pretty fun
@@Blag_Cog bro said why are u encouraging this man to be self-confident and happy, keep his ass depressed for my amusement lmfaoo

"Oh my god, I don't know what to do." honestly same
Story of my life
My new slogan
The "cafeteria" style restaurant is what Southerners colloquially call a "meat and 3" because usually you can pick a meat main dish, 3 side dishes, a drink and a bread of some sort; and sometimes a dessert depending on the restaurant.
Where you going that still offers 3? 💀 Prices have gotten so expensive they cut it down to 1 or 2 sides and no dessert.
Like cai pngs in Singapore. It’s also meat plus n veg
@@stanvanillo9831 Ehhh, was just gonna say the same
@@Miss_Kisa94 the meat and 3s in my area cost between $13 - $25. Prices tend to vary on options available and where you are. Taste from good to meh is as good as your popularity, so don't think of a cheap place is a bad/low quality place. The portions are that good ole American large and you can eat it for 2 or 3 meals. You can eat it in 1 go or get it to go, eat there, and save the rest for later.
@@Miss_Kisa94 Roll Tide
Is he slowly transforming from an NPC to a main character or what!?
Seems so, I love the character growth though.
Cant wait for the villain arc

A song you hate playing while your food is killing you is like a mean trick Nashville played on you.
Well, they had to balance out all the good karma of their southern hospitality with something.
No, dude, you got it. I'm in Nashville and Memphis a couple of times a year. I've tried a bunch of places, but the best places I've had it it's just really, really good fried chicken with an emphasis on spice. In a lot of places it's just mediocre or bad chicken with an emphasis on spice. I've never seen what the fuss is all about.
Yup. Nashville Hot is literally badly seasoned chicken with a lot of spice. Hattie B is the best in my opinion, Prince’s is tasteless.
@@kingInci727 This is either a sign of weakness or you've just never had good nashville fried chicken.
@@jayb00t92 I wish it were so brother
this is because nashville hot chicken was created for tourism, and didnt really exist until a few years ago. im a local 👍
yep, that seems to be an american thing, they do hot with bad taste, whereas with korean and italian food its hot and tasty.
Riptide playing in the back while you’re in pain is actually cinematic.
My dude showed more emotions in that initial bite than the rest of this channel's videos combined multipled by a hundred.
1:04 the way that pickle was shoved off that chicken 😭 I feel you pickle. I feel you.
4:33 Simultaneously thought "Never mind" after that pancake cookie 😂
"Times square for republicans" lol😂
'' hit me baby one more time'' then start taking bite🤣🤣
He’s my daily reminder that life can be peaceful 🥹
chess pie filling is usually butter, flour, sugar, eggs- basically a really sweet, somewhat custardy filling. the actual real way to identify a chess pie is that it is *sweet*. Usually vinegar or lemon juice is added to help offset the sweetness, somewhat, but it's essentially a sugar-custard pie. I think the version you had might have had a bit of cornmeal in, which does something interesting to the texture. I have a massive sweet tooth and chess pie is usually much, much too sweet for me.
the fact that he reacted like that shows you how spicy it was, brother was struggling
11:30 I thought for SURE this was a segue into an ad read for a mobile game 💀 .. missed opportunity imo
Thanks for uploading today dude I felt really lonely before you cheered me up

"It doesn't even taste good. Let me try it again. Now it tastes good." LOL The lava poops you had must have burned LOL Hope you had a nice trip. There was so much emotion in this. You are becoming a canoe! always love your videos
I feel so proud of him every time he films content outside his house and every time he shows a little bit of emotion ❤
Why? Is he emotionless and suffering from agorophobia?
Thank you FutureCanoe, you're so brave for showing us so much emotion this video
noooooo omg fifth and broad is the gentrified tourist trap place, the original prince's location is delicious i swear!!! still tho i'm so excited that you visited nash and i'm glad u had a good time!!
i was gonna say that is absolutely the wrong location 😭 antioch is the only princes i dare attend
Good he is traveling and show some more emotions man
I've lived in the Austin area for about 20 years, and I feel the same about our restaurants. As soon as there is notoriety the food quality starts to slide. It's like you have to know when the best chefs/cooks are on shift or something because it's so unreliable. And when local places become chains, the first original and sometimes the 2nd are still good but the others aren't the same. It gets disappointing when you don't have much money or you are like me these days and just don't like to go out much. Is such a roll of the dice.
Ohhhh!
You gotta learn about Chow Chow my guy!
It's different everywhere, but it's basically just a spicy pickled topping.
I love it on collared greens.
Also, country fried steak is amazing, I agree.
That sounds delicious!
Btw, a dog breed from northern China is also named Chow Chow. It's also one of the fluffiest things in the world.
@@heistingcrusader_ad3223 that was my initial thought as well😂
I was literally shocked when he asked what chow chow was😭 It’s so good on collard greens 🥹
@@lifewithdess5374 right?!
I had Hattie B’s at the Nashville airport during a layover. It absolutely blew me away, it was the best chicken I’ve had in my life. And I’m old.
long time viewer of your shorts, had no idea you had longer form content but i am loving it. keep up the good work :)
love your sincerity man
Never once did I eat something so spicy that my head hurts and then proceed to take another bite, kudos
7 minutes in makes me so happy because I am from south (wayyy south, like start swimming) Alabama and I have always told people visiting to find a place that looks like a cafeteria with an older woman throwing down in the kitchen and you will have the best time ever for half of what it should cost.
The biggest reason our cornbread doesn't taste like jiffy is we don't sweeten it. It's oil, self-rising cornmeal, egg, and buttermilk. And chess pie tastes a lot like pecan pie to me, but without the nuts. You should try southern biscuits and gravy the next time you're down here, and maybe visit the Pancake Pantry if you go back to Nashville or Gatlinburg.
omg he shows abundances of emotions in this vid
LOVE UR VIDEOS!!!! literally my fav comfort cooking tuber ^^
❤ u can't describe the mental peace this gives me
TBH it's kind of like drugs once ur addicted u just can't stop😊❤❤❤
thanks for the video, definitely avoiding this unseasoned town

we have come the long way, its suprising to see him show so much emotions
It’s nice to see a Kikuo fan consistently visiting this channel
@@p07a well he's my comfort youtuber so can't be helped
Man, it'd be great to get a video like this with some of his emotion shown every now and then, great refresher from his usual great content!😂❤
You're the only Ten-i-see FutureCanoe 🐥
This cute line from the last vid still holds me in a chokehold, lol
Chess pie is pecan pie without the pecans basically that’s how my cousin explains it and she makes both frequently for our family 😊 thanks for the vid and as a native I didn’t know we were popular for our hot chicken till I moved out of state and every place had at least one restaurant selling “Nashville hot chicken” which was hilarious to me as a kid
i'm salivating for the first time while watching future canoe.
in 1 year you got 1million subs that is crazy good job man the best i have seen keep it
6:29 The fact that there is a doctor medical sign on the plate at Arnold's fried chick tells how good fried stuff is there.
You need to read the essay "Some like it hot" by David Ramsey in the Oxford American, its an amazing short story about Prince's in Nashville, but the original location, and I think you'll really enjoy it. Its a great piece of writing that really captures the experience of the pain.
✨The hit me baby one more time✨ part was just in time 💀💯
The live reactions are amazing 😂😂
I was waitinnn🙂❤
A great video. This is the first non-cooking focused I’ve watched from you. Keep killing it.
Chow-Chow is a pickled vegetable (usually a little spicy) side/condiment that goes best with the Southern dish of Soup Beans. its delicious. Its usually cabbage, peppers, and onions finely chopped as its base veg.
The white bread isn't just a decoration for the hot chicken, it helps with the spice. If that fails citric acid (found in, well, citrus, and also most sodas) helps a lot
OMG he's coming to Dallas!! 💕
Love your vids man ❤️❤️❤️
I used to play the game your pfp is when I was a kid all the time during school
Bro chill on the emotions holy shit
I religiously dine the Hattie B's spice and tenderness. After watching the rice video I was gonna suggest it but saw the video was already out, so I'm glad you went!
seeing my favorite yter visiting my hometown is just so cool to me
"Because vegetable taste like sad."
I'd imagine 'Poultrygeist' is a play on 'poultergeist'... not sure why, though...
I'd imagine they use "ghost" pepper or something to that effect. Ghost/Poltergeist, etc.
The first line is famous by uncle roger....
Because the chicken will make you siht your pants just like a poltergeist would
Poultrygeist is a messed up movie.
Perfect timing! I’m in the process of planning my trip to Nashville and Knoxville, for September. Totally got a s/s of that list.
Go to Bolton's on the east side of the river. It's a little hood hole in the wall spot, but that hot chicken is seriously underrated.
You are finally back
You put the work on man enjoy your travels...
I like that cinematic movement🫶
I built the building across the street. I never had a good experience at that party fowl location at all. It wasn't you brother. Great video keep up the good work!
This guy is underrated 😂😂 I vibe with his mood so much 😂
"Ooh, here it comes!" lmaooo I can't bro
no wayyyyy you came to the city bro. hope you had a wonderful and safe time
my boy evolving
That intense wave of pain followed by a desire for more and then eventually settling into "this is my life now but at least it tastes good" after your tongue has been seared by spice is exactly what it's like to enjoy spicy food LMAO. For me it's also usually followed by my bowels declaring war on me and a very intense toiled clogging session.
The " All I can taste is PAIN ! " had me worried
Love it when he says rate from one to tain. This guy is great. 1 day I will visit america too. I always hear that american barbecue is good but don't know what state to go to in order to try it?
Also, what did Nashville people used to eat before the place became famous for it's fried chicken? Anybody he grew up there in the 80s or 90s must have eaten some food that isn't greasy or badly seasoned
Noooo I was literally just in TN this whole last week! Sevierville, just drove up to Niagra falls today. Wish I saw this earlier!
This is so damn timely. I'm literally going to Nashville next week. Hattie B's, got it
Don’t go to the one on Broadway. There’s another location a handful of blocks away that has a much smaller line that I’d recommend
I like when you say a word and then an image pops up, like Red and Pain
First time I went to Hattie’s, I got the STCU flavor, so painful and so delicious. They used to have those little honey bears at each table. And it worked so well with the spice. Now there’s one in Memphis and I love gotta restrain from the pain on the daily 😩
5:25 you killed me with the Tapatio* 🤣
I'm glad to live close enough to Nashville to get hot chicken every now and then. I gasped when you covered your fingers in the 'Shut the cluck up' oil because I know from personal experience that you'll need to wipe the tears away very, very soon. I prefer the 'Damn Hot' sandwich so the pain isn't as distracting from the flavor.
"Is like going to Italy to eat Kung Pow Chicken"....
When I was in Italy, I went to a restaurant called Kung Fu Express and got kung pow chicken 😭
I laugh at this channel more than any other one and it’s always so unexpected. Always up to clean my phone afterward.
i loved the mention of pain definitely one of my favorite gingers
I appreciate the shoutout my dude. Glad I wasn’t the only one to give you a ramen recommendation too 😂Glad you enjoyed Hattie B’s
I love five daughters doughnuts! Its become my go-to birthday treat for people instead of cake (because theyre as filling as one lol)
Omg he’s coming to Dallas! It would be so dope to actually run into the man, the myth, the voice…
Eat some Mexican barbecue, it’s different that that popular place in deep ellum, there’s a place called Que Buen Taco and it’s located in a super 7 mini mart, order the Carne Asada, its off of Elam Rd in Balch Springs which is close to Dallas, like 15-20 minutes.
"Let me give it another try"
Love you, brother. Thanks for suffering for us 😂
Chow Chow is a relish that was made to pickle and preserve whatever kind of summer produce. It can be tomatoes, peppers, onions, cabbage, cauliflower, etc.
Chess Pie is not chestnut.
this is the most emotional i’ve seen futurecanoe
6:55 you did not have to re-dip it. 😂😂
I love these videos!
Chow-chow is a pickled green tomato relish. I've never had it myself, but my mom loved it.
I'm so happy to see you come to Dallas I wish I could meet you give a hug and a handshake you've inspired me to screw up in the kitchen if only for perfection wish I could give you more recommendations but all I got is Hardemans BBQ and their amazing loaded brisket baked potato if it's garbage ill never cook again lol give it a go man
I love future canoe
Love FutureCanoe a lot
As a Southerner, nothing made me feel safer and more at home than during the part where he was at the meat and three. God bless.
as always, here till the end for the outro
3:28 what intarnation !!!! Dude split chicken liked jesus split bread
10:39 futurecanoe tastebud will never be the same
Why add carefully prepared spices and perfectly cook the chicken until beautiful, crispy golden brown when you can submerge is it a pit of lava and everything hot
Damn, I was curious about the "shut the cluck up" one, guess I should stick to mid. Thanks for your sacrifice. Glad you went on a mini trip, Nashville looked better than Times Square to my tasteless eyes. Probably cause I'm a country girl I guess. Times Square makes me anxious.
I lost it at you going for the hair bite
Your videos are amazing
a lot of the mild options has dry chicken because no one orders it so it just sits there, happened to me in nandos where the spicier ones were actually good
