I was born in 1943 and lived in Poletown on East Grand Boulevard up until leaving in 1968 to live in another city. I remember Poletown as a tight-knit, well-kept neighborhood. Chene street was a bustling commercial area. Immaculate Conception Church was my church and parochial school. The images in the video show a rather decrepit-looking area, nothing like the well-kept Polish family homes of my youth. Returning in 2003 I was shocked at the sights of blight in the city in general. The portion of Poletown not taken by GM centered around the beautiful St. Hyacinth Parish Church is now almost as vacant as farmland. I read now currently the prospect of a repurposed Packard Factory on East Grand Boulevard near Mt. Elliot is not off the table. It'll come back. Just a matter of time. And, will.
Sad. I don’t think it will come back. Manufacturing has moved to the south and is more spread out. I see the plant was set to close. Figured. But after saying everything negative they could about Elon Musk, and hampering Tesla in every way they plan to build EV trucks at the Poletown plant. If they had took their head out their arse the Poletown plant could have five to ten years of EV building experience already. I remember Polish, Italian, Greek, and other tight knit culture based neighborhoods in Chicago. The food omg! But more than that they had real community. That is almost impossible to find now. Was there no land just outside the city near interstates, railways, and the lake? I’m sure there was. What harm would come from locating the plant five miles away in an area that is crop, pasture, Forrest, swamp, etc?

The destruction of poletown was devastating to all of us who grew up in that area, it caused the Closings and demolition of Park elementary, Greusel jr high school & Northeastern high school because of enrollment number decline and mostly homes were loss to many long time residents.
"If he wins, he is going to jail". God to me in 2015, on the night of the elections, while I slept & He lifted me up & those words came out of my mouth. How do I know it was God & not speaking as I woke up? 1. I felt my body set up & the felt my move & heard those words & then I opened my eyes & asked: "If who win & he is going to jail?" & then I said: "dump? that fool better not win" & went back to sleep. 2. I was sure Hillary had that. America voted for a black dude, 2 times. Why not a white woman, now? I also saw how the Michigan republicans stole it: "I need you to go down the county building & verify your identity". Yep, I was about to beat him up. I put both fists on the table & said: "I ain't going nowhere until I vote". He must have seen the seriousness of what was about to happen to him & he called over & elder white woman, his supervisor, & she called the county & started "cake mixing" over the phone with the county & I barked: "MY ID IS ON MY ID" Then she asked the county person: "oh, he can vote?" Look, I ain't about violence but there are certain things I would kick your butts over. My family. My body. My works. My vote. My people & 3 (1 black & 2 whites) have lost lives over the right for me to vote & messing with it, is like they are continuing to spit on their graves. Not on my watch. After I got through checking everybody in that mug, I turned to see a line full of black & brown people filling up from the line "I" had them create to call the county, instead of me leaving. Knowing people would leave & not come back. And a vlog episode I had done months prior where God saw it & I said: "If this dude wins, the rest of the world would think we are a nation full of douchebags" & I also said: "If he wins, I ain't gonna do The D Dreams Inc". God heard that & He wanted me to not worry about him taking credit for its results because he gonna be in jail soon because he won. Taking credit? Yes, that is why I haven't called or typed his name since, because I knew he made money on his name & I didn't want to help with that & I knew if he won, his supporters would give the credit to him & put it into books & do what I had supposed had done for doing it under President Obama & cause his image on Mt. Rushmore. With what God has given me to do, this was have made them do that for him & YO! If you think I'ma douchebag now, piss me off like that? So, I didn't push as hard as I wanted to, under the dump. But I kept creating & soon I am finna do. Taking credit for other people's works is what hate does, just like he & they did of President Obama's economy in about a few months after their stealing aka "winning". Look it up. These people are complaining about an election being stolen & they actually have actually stolen it. Twice. And trying to do it some more, at the local levels.
