David Hayter is perfect for Solid Snake but he's awful at Big Boss. He doesn't have enough emotion. MGS V actually had a really great story when you watch it straight.
@@alexdeghost2729 Kiefer Sutherland is about as emotionless as Big Boss than a damn toaster. He has like 14 lines throughout the entire game and except for the ashes of the Diamond Dogs scene his dialouge provides nothing of substance. More of a fault at the writer's end but completely wasted potential for Venom's voice actor.
@@chiken6559 That's what i meant dude, this scene here shows more emotions than all MGS V scenes combined. to me PW is the reeal mgs 5 (like kojima always said ) and mgs V (not 5 but V, the letter) is a spin of
Yes but his interpretation also spread into a place, a haven for soldiers which is not exactly what the boss wanted. After he had decided that the boss 'put down her gun' and betrayed him, he went off on his own route. Outer Heaven. He did take to heart what the Boss said about soldiers and their countries abandoning them, but I don't think he's trying to interpret her will, but his own vision, more like an off shoot from hers. A world united on conflict, and endless battlefield.
2:08 Big Boss' dialogue and the subtitles didnt match in the other videos he always says "Call Norad" but this one is different, its correct. 2:53 And here too instead of "Get Norad on the phone." its "Get the Pentagon on the phone."
Guys nukes are fitted with safety measures so even under great pressure or any of the possible ways. To generate enough energy to make it explode it does need to hit a certain velocity before the warhead is even close to blowing up. There where many failsafes, and still are, the initial detonation blast caps are self contained in the warhead case so accidents won't happen.
Even though the MGS story took a big turn with 3 and 4 (The Patriots true motives changed) I still think PW is pretty fucking good. This part still tears me up. MGS3 can't do that anymore.
I'm not sure if anyone noticed, but when I played on the console version, Snake says, "Get NORAD on the line." even though the dialogue box said Pentagon. Wonder why they change these tiny things...
Easy way. Get huge container put water in it and then put it on Peace walker. Even the smallest crack is ok. Hope that Peace Walker has a crack on his head.
Well the Pentagon wouldn't be concerned with nuclear missiles entering american airspace, NORAD would. probably changed the text quickly and forgot that one part.
NICE :) PW in HD! heh I love the plot in that part of mgs!PSP needed a game like this one! Does anyone know the song 6:18--6:50? The End of MGS:PW :) was so sad,lofty..."sing the song" :) in old style...EPIC It's a ficition like hell :) but the idea..and the message to all people :) HIDEO KOJIMA is great!!! :)
As much as I like the game, the whole "peace walker drowning itself" scene could of been thrown on the cutting room floor in favor of something less inconceivable. The line about it using it's heart just screams cringe. Instead, Big Boss could of just found a way to blow up the mammal pod or Peace Walker itself and then follow with him throwing away his bandana. Also, I feel like The Boss' mystique and overall character was ruined thanks to this scene. The Boss' innocence didn't need to be "proven". We know that she's loyal to her country, thus sacrificing herself to save the world. That's what the ending to MGS3 was about. Nothing more needed to be said.
+IvanCane Screams of cringe? You mean LIKE THE REST OF MGS? Seriously, Peacewalker had the most straight forward and least cringy story telling of the series. Of the all the things to complain about. I mean, just remember psycho mantis. I don't think when you have freaking Psycho Mantis that this scene is that hard to have a suspension of disbelief.
Wrong, this scene was perfect, you have to understand Big Boss's character story arch, this was the real MGS 5 and where Big Boss's true story arch ends, the Butterfly symbolism comes up, the same Butterfly symbol that Big Boss looked at after Ocelot shot his eye out and he was getting used to seeing with one eye, the Butterfly represents Naked Snake's transformation to Big Boss and it also represents The Boss's longing for Peace, the Butterfly flies away from Big Boss at the same time, Big Boss realizes The Boss's memories called for Peace when she trained him for War, Big Boss feels betrayed and discards his Bandana symbolically parting with The Boss's will and parting from being like Solid Snake (who unwittingly fulfilled The Boss's will) as well as ending his search for truth to establish Outer Heaven instead, the Butterfly, the Bandana and The Boss's memories get thrown out at Sea and Naked Snake finally embraces his title as Big Boss later in his speech, which is why he accepts Ocelot calling him Boss in MGS V in the real ending.
@xxJoeDog93xx I did. But I like the part where Big Boss proves who he is by telling the guy about the handshake thing. Great insults DO last a lifetime.

This was the most tense part of any game cutscene I've ever seen. IT WAS AMAZING.
such an epic cutscene, a shame mgs V never came close to PW in terms of story... and yeah, David Hayter is STILL the only Big Boss

10:30 it’s about to end, she’s stopping transmission at pentagon and NORAD, peace ☮️ is here!
"Those worthless sacks of ..."

"METAL GEAR SOLID" Gives A Nuclear War Story Better Than Call Of Duty Modern Warfare,
Peace walker killing itself to stop the transmission is probably the moment in the whole mgs series that never fails to make me tear up

Few people know that the Boss had an other code name amongst the Cobra unit, the Joy, because she was joyful and liked to sing.
good god that has to be heart plser my head would have blown up whit the tension truly hideo kojima can think of badass characters
This NEEDS to, has to, even WANTS to be a movie or be remade in to an actual console game

Sing a song peace walker ost

what an epic buildup (part11) and climax

I think that they said it in the codec discussions in MGS3

Huey = Retro Otacon!
The baby who would grow to become none other than Revolver Ocelot....
The water pressure was necessary to leak into the already damged shell and short out the AI...NOT to detonate the nukes carried by PW

She was joyful until WWII when her baby was taken away
No luck on the name of that soundtrack starting at 6:08?

Even when Strangelove says "There's no Peace to be found anywhere" the camera pans to Big Boss without the Bandana saluting The Boss.
