Nice video Shane as always. Looks like a nice unit - but disappointed it doesn’t have its own encoder and needs a PC (or another encoder). Would be nice to see all new switchers contain encoders. I love Roland switchers but disappointed they don’t have embedded encoders.
Great review and thorough as always. I recently bought the Oton S04M, which looks like a direct competitor to this. IMO it's a far superior unit, with more hardware buttons, SCENE switching (as opposed to source switching) and much more customisability in general. No touchscreen, but I've never missed it. It'd be great if you could get in touch with Oton and give their offering a once over too. I know they are looking to get more reviews on UA-cam.
OTON makes awesome stuff. I reviewed their Oton Geek switcher a while back, the playlist to all the reviews is located in the video cards on the top right.

I have this video switcher. I have 3 cameras with SD cards and a computer. I also have my audio in from a Zoom H8 to the switcher for my microphone. Want I am unsure of is the following. 1) do I have to hit record on all the cameras first, and then toggle to each camera as I use them? 2) when I hit the toggle for the computer, (as I want to record my screen), how is my computer being recorded? Where is the recording at? 3) once I am done recording, how do I get all the various recordings as well as the audio recording into one file to send to someone for post production?
Seems like a huge step-up over the original. Audio is still better than the previous one. This one doesn't do it's own live stream direct like the Yolo gear?

Hey! Thank you for the excellent review. I'm curious about few things. I would like to use this tool for recording 2 camera and monitor screen (for presentation). Do I need to use L2's software on laptop if I will record via hdmi cable to Nindja 5? What does it exaxtly means that it has no encoder? (for me it's not a problem that I need to use laptop aswell since I would like to use it in a fixed studio...) Other version that I would like to recrod. Chroma key: recording the presenter and put behind him his presentation (assume imput 1 is laptop and the presentation and input 2 is the presenter through camera) It seems obvius that you can put this 2 source together as you have showed it with blue screen, but is it possible to change sometimes to the presentation instead of the mixed picture? Is it possible to switch between this 2 views without changing settings? input1+2 , input1, 1+2 .... like this:D I know that I could record everything simultaneously and then put them together in Premier pro but I would like to decrease the editing procedure. It would be so nice if the only task would be after recording to put some atmo music and do a little colorgrading if it needs any. :)
It looks like the Sprolink NeoLiv R2 does a better job and the menus on this unit seems incredibly slow in updating. Perhaps even the YoloLiv YoloBox is more up my alley. What is your opinion? Have you tried other units?

How can I get the Feelworld software? I bought and received my L2 Plus 10 days ago, love it, great improvement over the L1. You can control the PTZ cameras (timestamped in the video) but I don't think it feeds a signal to the switcher. The idea of these videos is to help people decide if it's right for them and each persons use case. Thanks for watching :).

It looks like it might be the ultimate switcher.. i don’t do a lot of live streams for clients but when I do I work with a lot of split screen scenes in obs (2 and 3 cameras side by side). So far the only hardware switcher that seems to be able to do that is the atem mini extreme, which is a bit overkill for my needs. Could you review the sprolink please? This is a switcher. If you are recording to a computer, that is your end result. You switch as you go and then you get one file at the end. The device itself does not record.
How can you see camera 1 and 2, one on the top left and other on the top right ? I connected them I can only see 1 camera at the time(same cam on the right and left side) Thanks.
Hi guys. I have a Feelworld L2 connected to OBS via USB, I have a problem with the screen freezing (CAMERAS) in OBS STUDIO, interestingly the cameras work normally, I have another Monitor for Monitoring. Every time this happens I have to click on the "SOURCE" corresponding to FEELLWORLD and press "DEACTIVATE" AND ACTIVATE again, or select another Device and Return to the same... so it returns... sometimes remove the USB cable and insert again... Note:. The drivers on the Notebook are up to date, as are the USB ports. I've already changed ports but the error remains. FeelWorld doesn't get hot. Is there any setting in OBS Studio or Stable Version (compatible) that avoids this problem? Grateful.

Good point. The atem Pro for this price you'll get built in encoder but it don't have a screen.. You'll need an external monitor

We need this but with ISO functions and capability to capture a 4k mix. That’s what I would love to have in that form factor.

You can record from the usb out to your computer or the HDMI out if you’ve got an encoder set up.

can you disable the animation that takes effect when accessing the meun and its options? i think it's disturbing and slows down operation

It sounds faulty if the power cable is not secured properly. I would ask for an exchange.

Atem Mini Pro is very good and it’s my main device because it also records. The Pearl Nano works with two sources and is exceptional.

I think you need to connect it to your network via ethernet cable and access it via the ip address.
Question: Does the v2 still have a sync issue when using the “audio in” port?

It doesn't actually record. If you send a stereo signal through a camera for example, that will be in stereo.
No on board recording is a dealbreaker for me.

Why don’t you show the actual screen when using the menus? The two side shots do not show enough detail due to the odd angles.
The screen are not recordable unless I have a camera blocking all of the other stuff going on.

Yep it's pretty loud but it also depends if you use a shotgun mic or not. It can be adjusted as well in the menu.
