As someone who is in a relationship but are not quarantined with their SO, all these points you're mentioning in this video hits just as hard. I haven't seen my bf since March and miss him very much.

I literally made a online dating profile three weeks before we went into quarantine, went on two dates and after lock down I realized online dating is definitely not how I would like to meet someone. I also felt like quarantine was a big sign to not online date for me. I have been focusing on myself and thats been the best decision. I've also realized how good my own company is and how much more fulfilled I am letting it organically happen versus chasing the idea of finding someone.
Online dating isn't for everyone, but it's a good way to meet people you would have never met face to face. I.e. you live in one city and he lives in a city 30 mins away and you guys dont frequent the same places. Best of luck to you though
@@purplehazee90Thank you and to clarify I didn't say online dating isn't a good way, I said online dating is not the way "I" would like to meet someone, specifically meaning online dating sites. I think it's very important to know who you are and that begins with what you like and don't like. I know plenty of people with successful marriages/relationships that started in an online dating sites. It works for many and it is a way to meet people but for me, I've never been able to create a meaningful relationships there. This is where I am in my life right now. I make more connections by putting myself out there, socializing and being part of different interest in life that lead me to different people, and that is coming from an introvert. I appreciate the well wishes, thankfully I am very fulfilled and joyful right now. I also wish you well and I hope you continue to do what allows you to grow and be happy.

But I agree that using this quarantine time to focus on ourselves is key for better relationships and friendships in the future! Loved this lunch break, so relatable!

yes Jen. yes. I relate so much. I become a lot less close to my friends whenever they get into a r/s cause if they have problems they have their SO to talk to. so I do feel like I’m bothering them.
also, I don't know if this happen to you, but I'm always all ears for my close friends' relationship problems but when I'm trying to raise some perspective in another situation, they say I don't get it because I don't have a boyfriend. So frustrating!

Gone through a sudden breakup of a 2 years relationship when Covid started and also during the Australia bushfire. I begged him to come back because the fear of losing him are heightened due to all these bad things happening and ppl are dying. I’m a first line healthcare personnel and during these few months, I’ve started to realise someone who doesn’t fear losing me, doesn’t deserve me. It just hurts more when it’s a crush of 15 years and i thought “we” finally happened.

I'm guessing it's adaptive glasses? Cause at the end of the video his lenses were clear. But then again, I rmb he designed snap on sunglasses that'd fit his glasses a while back, so it could have been too bright since his windows are opposite him? (Idk could have seen it wrongly hahaha)

Mel talking about wanting someone from her Korean dramas hit home! Hahaha! Sometimes you see character trait/s and you realize they're what you seek in others. Ideally what you want if you had the choice.
I think Netflix dates are the way to go rn. I recently started dating a girl I met through the apps during the lockdown and we did about 2 weeks of Netflix dates before actually meeting up (I live in Australia ). Watching those shows also gave us conversation cues to discuss and some moments of silly banter as a result of what happned in the show. It really bonded up more than if we were just chatting of video calling without an 'activity'.

@@bwingbwinggwiyomi We were just messaging each other so we would be sending each other messages during the show. Towards the end of the 2 weeks we actually had trouble following the show because we spent too much time messaging each other.

From a gen z perceptive I think facetime dating was in away already a thing before covid 19. I feel like younger generations tend to do the whole snapchat, text, facetime, before actually going and investing themselves to a real date.

deciding if i really need a partner is my biggest issue man. I've been single forever now and it just feels so nice and comfortable i do not want to mess it up, but then again i worry that i will die alone and i don't want that. I have friends now but they won't have time to be with me forever. Idk it is rough, i also have this fear of not having enough to support my parents, like will i be able to take care of them by myself? I think i need a partner to help me - This is super selfish for the partner i guess but idk these are things that i care about

Can you guys maybe try making a short film about a couple trying to maintain their relationship during quarantine, or even a single person trying to find a date during quarantine? It could be like in the style of the movie "Searching."
Personally, I can't wait for the day when we can "go out". I completely agree with Jenn and Melody that the going on a physical date process can be a lot! It can also be tiring to go on a lot of first dates because the others didn't click. But just like Dan said, that body language and those little quirks sooooo go a long way for attraction!

listening to this episode, I feel like there is a business model where you can buy a date night care package for someone. Maybe a couple of different types, one with cute stuff animals, another for a romantic candle lights and scented oils etc.

hello mwf, the quarantine time from when this was done to review what people usual ate - the vietnamese lunch idea was great - the salad with vermicelli with spring rolls is a fave. like how the spring rolls need a chopstick to pick-up without the fork to break the wrap. and, the noodle with chopsticks is old way. cooking at home is fun and probably would have made for vietnamese lunch - making pho - using pork broth, vermicelli, cilantro, onion, basil, sprout, and fish balls and lime juice. keep the body health good with soup and broth. the snack dan should have is rice crackers or green peas, dried tofu or shrimp chips, onion crackers or pineapple cakes (mini). elle for wish i was there
long distance date - on camera time or meeting were different. usual there is no time on cellphone on pic time - walking with talking or camera shy or have to fix your hair for long distance. was talking to my 80 yrs parents that if more users of stamps then the price would lower from 0.48 to 0.42 and practice typography. elle for ink pen
be careful to organic vegetables again - well vegetables like zucchini or eating an apple - am a leave the skin on girl from long time ago. milk at 4.50 for 1 gallon milk or 2.80 for 1 gallon milk also keeps me with 1 gallon at 2.80. should not worry the new of the zucchini or smaller ones.
