@@bwingbwinggwiyomi they do feel very subjective, but I think it can be extrapolated to mean the more general values they talked about, but those things he said are the signs that flag the person as someone who might not fit with the values
people are saying Chris's standards are too high or intimidating but I 100% am on his side. Most of what he said is just based on the person's character, flexibility and willingness to learn and grow as a person. Someone who can't cook scrambled eggs? It's not they're a bad cook, it's that they're consistently bad at cooking (don't learn to improve) or even is a careless person (to let something just burn). You can only burn and waste food so many times till you realize that person just sucks as a human. Kudos to Chris for having good standards 👍🏻👍🏻
Imma just not comment because Chris brought up a good point: it is not always what is not there, but realizing the dynamic between you and the person you're getting to know/getting into a relationship with. What you typically expect from someone, may adjust because of the dynamic you have... That's beautiful!
What Jen said about parties is so true. Honestly even with just regular friends, I find it hard to connect with them if they're the type to drink and party every weekend since I don't drink or hit the club either. Honestly that's probably something I need to work on since it's hard to ONLY find friends that aren't into drinking/partying.
@@CalaCrisp88 yo don't judge LOL I learned how to cook eggs but would specifically looked up Gordon Ramsey's recipe and his technique of cooking the perfect scrambled eggs really is quite liquidy LOL (it's like constantly folding in the eggs while on the heat and off the heat quite a number of times) I think it's cuz people don't realize you're supposed to let it cook itself a bit.
Chris: Talks about his very *specific* red flags: Yeah you NEED to be able to make eggs. . Girls trying to date Chris knowing full well he's in a relationship: Write that down! WRITE THAT DOWN!
yay welcome michelle!!! ♡ excited to see you on more lunch breaks (as long as you're comfortable!!) also I think most of these red flags could be summarised as respecting your choices/preferences/interests and actually wanting to get to know them, which is getting to know you!
I'm catching up on LB episodes so I've actually seen a few with her in it and I gotta say, I really like the way Michelle laughs. Something about it feels so confident and reaffirming. Like YAAAAS GIRL, LAUGH. LAUGH LOUD AND LAUGH PROUDLY.
i think the cooking one is totally reasonable, if youre a grown adult you should be able to feed yourself and not rely on take out 24/7. im not asking for someone to be able to cook a 5 course meal but the basics at least or the willingness to learn over time, idk i see people around saying 'lmao XD instead of boiling water i would burn water!' like thats nothing to brag about please learn some basic skills so you dont starve..
This, and then there's the twitch streamers who seem to love bragging about not knowing how to cook and just order 24/7 are so shocked when opinions from people outside of "chat" are judgmental of it. Even if I had all the money in the world I would still cook from time to time tbh...
I really appreciate Taylor and Chris bringing up the gender norms and potential homophobia associated with guys caring about style and fashion! It should not be an expected responsibility on the girl to “fix” her partner’s style. And if a guy wants to dress better, he should feel comfortable exploring that without any assumptions about his sexuality.
welcome Michelle!!! was waiting for you to finally appear on lunch break ❤️❤️❤️ and I relate to Chris so much about it being a red flag when he or she can’t enjoy a good fast food 😫😂
Michelle is so kyoot! But yeh I agree with most of these tbh! Esp Chris' valid point about how certain people will bring/can bring a different understand and quality of yourself to the front! I know it has done for me and one physical quality I suppose is that it turns out I don't mind a bit of body and facial hair on a guy depending on how they look in general lool 😂
when yall started talking about eggs, it reminded me of when i was in 1st grade and had learned already had to cook fried eggs and i had eaten like 4 in one day. i asked my brother how many eggs is too many and he said 2 a day is fine... so i thought i was gonna die or get some disease or stomach issue because i had eaten 4 XD oh to be young and naive
"Michelle, ma belle, Sont les mots qui vont tres bien ensemble, Tres bien ensemble, And I will say the only words I know that you'll understand, My Michelle." -- The Beatles (circa 1966)
A lot of these are minor annoyances. My red flags are if they've had too many partners in a short amount of time, if they have bad hygiene, if their friends are all assholes, if all your friends dont like this person. I feel like red flags are a bit more serious.
Thanks for clarifying. I thought many of these were also just small pet peeves and it’s unfair to nitpick everything little thing. Is it even possible to find someone who can be “perfect” ie not have a single pet peeve about them? I doubt it.
no. i dont do parties, crowds, clubs, or drugs and yes if you took dare in school like all us 90s kids you would know alcohol is a drug. NO THANKS. lets go to the park, lets go the museum. lets go hiking or chill at home were we can have deep long conversations without outside distractions. i'll take conversations over anything else out there
That sad moment when wong fu uploads after you're done eating 😢 whyyyy Also 12:51 huge red flag. I've met people who don't know how to do basic essentials.
This was so funny to watch cause all I can think about is my boyfriend's friend and I'm just like "yeah, he's a red flag" XD (PICKY eater, only eats burgers/hot dogs. Is not open to trying new things, doesn't know how to cook and almost set his house on fire by trying to make "grilled cheese" by turning his toaster on it's side)
ngl, when fully comfortable, I can go on ramble mode while starting out, I am very probing... rambling is a way of giving a lot to latch onto in a sense🤷🏾♀️🥴
I'm the worse red flag for WF staff. I can't cook eggs (or anything, really), I'm allergic to chicken, and I don't like bobba. Oh well! Guess I'll be alone for the rest of my life. 🚩😂
Wow I couldn't date any of these people even if they didn't have SO's! I am totally inconsistent with if I spell you out or u but it's mostly bc it's whatever mood I'm in and if I want to take the time to spell out you or u
Doesn't like Asian food/the food of your homeland/what your mama makes at home? ReD fLaG - that's real! Who doesn't want their SO to celebrate that huge part of your culture? AND seconding kudos to Chris! I think he's coming from an open-minded POV of someone with more experience/being in a committed relationship. I feel like the more specific the red flags are - the more idealistic instead of realistic your mindset is for dating and looking for your partner!
Just a random criticism, it’s a little weird if ur hosts are wearing apple AirPods but are trying to advertise a different brand’s wireless earbuds! Just comes off a little conflicting!
Hard disagree on quarantine hair -- if anything, that's the opposite of a red flag! It means the person was so careful about staying indoors as much as possible that they didn't go out for a haircut.
the discussion devolved from red flags into dating preferences toward the end of the video. chris’s list of expectations is ridiculous. you don’t like their style so that’s a dating red flag? they’re eating too healthy that it’s pretentious?? come on mang be more flexible. there is no ideal person out there that meets all these specificly high expectations. but i still like yall at wongfu, that’s just my opinion :)
i think it's totally reasonable. also he never said eating too healthy is pretentious, it's only a problem if u act like youre above people who eat fast food. for some people, thats all u can afford, so it's kind of insensitive to act like youre above eating fast food. if they dress poorly, i think that one is less of a red flag, but they should at least look presentable and show that they care about themself. i think the red flag would be if a guy thought caring about style and fashion makes him gay or less masculine. and cooking eggs makes sense bc it's a basic skill. no one said u should be a masterchef, but you should at least be willing to try to learn the basics. u cant just live ur whole life ordering take out
Chris's foodie red flags make this episode 😂
kk
Such high and subjective standards pahaha
Unrelated but your hair looks really nice here 😄

Agree with Chris' point about not being closed minded to new experiences!
He was getting so emotional about the eggs XDDD who hurt you ?
Hey, some people have eggpinions. There are some people who prefer their scrambled eggs to be *liquid*, but we still respect them. Mostly.

Chris' red flags were giving me flashbacks to the pet peeves episodes when he got a bit riled up.😅
Chris really came after me with that scrambled egg comment.
