Thumbs up from me but surprised after all that its just a couple of magnets holding it on...good vid keep them coming.
Greetings, Love the videos. I have a question as to the Icom IC-7100? Why did you get rid of it? Any problems or issues with the radio? If you setup D-Star, was it difficult? Cheers...
Hi William, thanks for watching. I had no problem with the IC-7100, it worked very well for the period I had it. I trade it to get a TS-2000, all mode transceivers, mainly to be used in VHF/UHF. I got myself an ID-5100 with dual VFO for D-Star and a HF QRP. The IC-7100 was used with my remote kit "RemoteRig" but I didn't use it, so I decided to do QRP instead and sacrifice my IC-7100. I would have kept it, but in life you can have everything you want but not everything, hihi. 73 Pascal VA2PV
hy - when will you show us your ID_5100 testing video?
I’m so sorry, when I got this radio there was already a lot of video reviews about it, I was so busy that I decided to skip it. 73 Pascal VA2PV
I really enjoy your videos. Do yo ever get to Orlando hamcation? Steve kk4vfo
Hi Steve, I went to Florida ans Orlando several time and the last time was just before the COVID-19, in January 2020 (we went to Walt Disney World with the familly), but I never went to the Hamcation. I would love to go in 2021, but it's a bit far from my QTH and we don't know yet if there will be a travel band from Canada. Someday I will go for sure! 73 Pascal VA2PV
I saw hundreds and hundreds of bad reviews about Lido Mounts and people never getting their orders from 2006-2016. Do they still have this problem in 2019?
Hi Carroll, I beleive so because I met the owner a few time at the Dayton Hamventions but I always bought at this event directly. his name is Jim (his son is also working with him), if you go on their website send him an email, I'm sure he will response, then you be more confident. 73 Pascal VA2PV
I did end up placing an order for the double seat bolt mount for a radio and speaker mic. I ordered it last night and got the notification this morning that the shipping label was created. Hoping that it will actually show up so I can spread a good word around the community. He has wonderful products just terrible customer service from what I've heard. Hope to be proved wrong.
What a big, ugly, cumbersome mounting system. Can't imagine wanting one of those.
Many thinks it loiks like ET 🤪
Completely agree.
