    Basically:
    1. Train your flexibility
    2. Train your musclee for martial arts, NOT bodybuilding
    3. Shadow sparring
    4. Be creative with what you have
    Love you nat you're helped me a lot since I started watching you monghs ago

    While these advices are good, there is something that bothers me about shadow sparring. I'm currently practicing a martial art that is very obscure. While I can practice different strikes and knive mouvements, as well as different rolls since I have a lot of space where I live, most of the techniques are used for takedowns and my online instructor tells me that it's better if I have a training partner instead of using a training dummy. Sure, I could go to one of 2 Okichitaw schools, but they are located in Toronto and I need to make a long trip to get there.

      Pick the closest martial art school with similar throws/grappling and either
      1. Try to ignore the added stuff from the other art.
      Or 2. Take what you can use and apply it. Especially if they offer sparring where a simple conversation with the trainer/coach could mean sparring in your style to adapt everything

    • @joshsanders8717
      @joshsanders8717 3 місяці тому

      No martial art is completely unique AND effective. So if there's nothing that is similar, it's probably best to move on unless culturally important.

    Hi Nat. 2,5 years ago (I think) I started watching baki and that made me want to join a martial arts club. One day, one of your kick tutorials popped on my feed. I passed 2 years practicing with your videos, and stretching every day.
    Half an year ago I joined a taekwondo club, and by practicing with your videos for those years, I manage to get really good.
    I just wanted to thank you, and good luck with your channel🔥🔥

    The problem about Shadow Sparring is that it wouldn't be practical for me in a real fight.
    In Shadow Sparring, I can dodge anything because I already know what my imaginary opponent is going to do, because I control the imaginary opponent :(

    Hey Nat, its boxer commenting guy again here...funny! So so so very funny! I am now learning/instructing JuJitsu! Maybe a video centered around 3 key leg stretching exercises for roundhouse kicks, sweep throws, push kicks, snap kicks and general hip flexibility. Coming from boxing my arms, shoulders, traps and delts are fine but the hip flexors & legs need work.
    Again, if you're ever in Lancaster I wouldn't mind sparring you or having a chat

    again an amazing video bro i got a question i train mauy thai and the other day i gave someone a roundhouse to the leg as they wanted to try take one anyway i ended up kicking them and they felt it but was ok i realised i ended up hurting my self more than i did them my technique was decent and i had power and i never kicked bone but my shines was killing ive conditioned them a tiny bit but not enough i also broke my leg pretty bad when i was younger and am worried of breaking it again as a mauy thai fighter it sounds stupid asking this but what are ur best methods to conditioning and maybe u can make a little video on it

    • @FvgDerwydd
      @FvgDerwydd 2 місяці тому +2

      Hey I just started and i have zero idea about martial arts. Just start like the other mate said thats all.
      See some of his videos on how he does it and adapt it to yourself.
      Also be creative. Even if you might think "nah i thought about something too stupid" do it anyways, as long as it works for your body it doesn't matter how it is.
      You will gain more flexibility and you will be feeling better. Don't expect a huge change in one day obviously. But you will start feeling it very very soon, probably in just a week or two, even mentally. Focus on that goal. Rest the days you need, if you don't give up you will need less resting with time. Listen to your body, always.
      JUST START
