When I started paying attention to politics during Trump's presidency, I felt uncomfortable when watching his speeches. It didn't take long for that feeling to seep into other areas of my life.
When Biden was elected, I was glad to see Trump's back, and was surprised at how safe I felt watching Biden's speeches. It, too, worked its way quickly into the rest of my life.
I hunger for that continued safety, and as of right now, for the time being, it wears Biden's face.

I was in Europe Oct/Nov 2023. It was impressive (and sad) that the general populace of each country I visited appeared to know more about US politics than many Americans. I was primarily asked three questions:
1) How in the world was Trump ever elected in the first place?
2) Why doesn’t the American political/legal system prevent the rise of fascism?
3) Why do Americans value gun possession more than the lives of children?

I actually liked his state of the union speech (I think it was last year) better. But there were some good points. I really liked the part about the painting of General George Washington. I do think he needs to move on to his accomplishments more. Tell about all the things he has done while in office. Our country has come a long way since the pandemic. I remember Trump saying he knew more about the terrorists than the generals. He also said if ever would have joined the army, he would have been promoted to Colonel in two weeks. He calls fallen service men suckers and losers. He was a draft dodger. I served, and in my second week in basic training I never saw anybody get promoted. Yet he claims they would promoted to a rank that a lot of career officers never reach. What a total Jerk.
The comments trump made about our fallen military personnel in France alone should turn off any and all vets or active service personnel. How can you support a lying draft dodger.
