That why I don't believe anyone when they say they don't like cats. Give it time, they always will. Even when they say they don't, give it time, they always will.
My favorite part of this is that it isn't crazy where the robots hate humans and killed them off, but instead think of them as their ancestors and miss them so much that they imitated their actions and how they behave.
This game is wild. It was ridiculously popular for exactly a week and then fell off the face of the earth. I have not heard anybody say anything about stray since its month of release.
Probably because it's not that long or intensive a game, so most people just played the whole thing within that week. After that, people still played it, but the hype was kind of over by then so it wasn't really talked about anymore. I played it last week. Still fun
It’s a good game just not AMAZING how some goofy ass people think ( mostly people that own cats ) and there’s so much better games out there that are way better and longer…. I personally loved it though, just wasn’t as long as I wished : ( (I own cats btw)
Stray actually did get a lot of awards and nominations, so I wouldn't say you didn't hear of it anymore. Still, it doesn't mean that people weren't playing it a lot privately, if you know what I mean.

They didn't need to. Sean was right. The entire development team have cats. It is in the end credits. There were also four dogs. I wonder if we'll ever get a doggo game like this.
Try it with a cat being well into its adult years. We did it the gray tabby that owned us was 3 or 4 years old, I think. She would flop to her side and act like her legs were broken. Funny as hell to us humans but to her royal highness, she was plotting our demise.
Lol I thought I had a chance harness training my girl because she is so treat inclined and always wants to go outside, the idea that harness equals treats and access to outside just doesn't connect in her little kitty brain lmao can't even be mad tbh
@@latvia4205because it isn’t natural for them. They don’t enjoy it. It restrains their full free movement, so why even bother going outside. Even good dog owners should only have big dogs who desire to run freely, if they have a lot of property or can take them to places they can run off leash.
Fun Fact: When developing this game, they would put motion capture suits on cats, let them do their cat thing, and record their movements to use in the game. I thought that was pretty cool that they use that much attention to details😁
I love the actions built into this game that serve no function except to amuse cat owners, like being able to scratch things, being able to meow, knocking off the paint cans
Here's a fun little fact about this game, the creators of the game actually use the real cats in motion sensing to create the other cats you can find around the world

What I find interesting about cats is that I've heard that they would naturally only meow in their kitten stage to alert their mom, but over the centuries cats have learned to meow to us humans since they've learned that this gains our attention, even though they are adults or elders.
I also heard they modulate their meowing to try to find what will get your attention the fastest, and what the cats find is that a cry similar to a human baby gets peoples' attention VERY quickly. So, if your cats' yowls seem perfectly targeted to get your attention and keep you from paying attention to anything else, well they are.
Also, adult cats mainly meow at humans, seldom to other cats, and another intriguing notion is that cats create a "special and unique cat language specific to their pet human."
If you've ever had cats that live outside, their meow dies over time because they don't really use it when they hunt. My parents' farm kitties for example, they don't meow very loud and it sounds more rigid as though they never use it. They're always able to hunt on their own by killing barn mice and don't really need humans. They only use it when they say hi to us. My cats at home however are pretty vocal and I think it's because in a way, they still live as though they're kittens because I am their mother and they depend on me to get them food vs my parents' farm cats who hunt and do their own thing most of the time. My girl kitty Evie meows very loudly and high pitched like a kitten compared to her brother who has more of an adult developed meow in a lower tone.

Graphics, sound effects, and details are amazing and unlike most games when walking through grass you just go straight through it but in this game it actually makes the surroundings (like the grass) move asside
I love how everyone’s reactions to the cat falling is the same, at least from what I’ve seen. They all scream out for the cat and say no. Even I did and I don’t have a cat
I love this because Jack already has a cat and just resonates or compares his to the cat in the game. (Also the enjoyment when the cat does something cute in-game) ❤

i love the detail that when there is a bag over your head the controls get inverted the best way to sell a detail in gaming is through gameplay so thats pretty cool
“It made my eyes all blurry” I feel like this is another attention to detail because outside cats tend to be farsighted, so anything up close becomes blurry
Not true, cats see pretty well even close distances, too close tho and it becomes blurry but that pretty much happens to every forward facing species sight.
eyes don’t sparkle, humans don’t have bioluminescence edit: this is obviously a joke, and you are all dumb. Pretending to be a smartass that doesn’t understand metaphors and common sayings is the joke
Sean seems to keep forgetting that the cat he was playing as literally came from the 'outside'. That's literally why we want to go there, to take our kitty home to its family 😅
yes!! when he was like "i wonder what the outside looks like" i was like ummm... did you forget we started outside the walls and it was beautiful?? haha
Technically I don't think we were "outside". We were in the interior of the walls between the outside and the robot city. As to whether the cats actually had access to the outside, we don't know.
there was once a guy who lived on an island. He managed the lighthouse built on it. Since the man lived alone without company for weeks on end he adopted a cat. This cat is the sole reason this island has no more birds. There was even a species of indigenous birds to the island. So this cat actually caused an entire species to go extent
Its like when people let their house cats go outside and they kill off a lot of native wildlife. Not even to eat it, just because they can. I wish cat owners could understand that and just let their house cats have like. A cat patio or something if they wanna be outside for a bit.

52:33 the cats vision gets blurry because cats actually can’t see things up close super well. Because their eyes are so large, it’s hard for them to focus on things up close like that. So that’s super cool that the game went that far into the characteristics and functions of cats.

Arguably, cats could be considered natural disasters 😂
there was once a guy who lived on an island.
