I dont understand what Flute Mali seems to be saying and why he kept stopping abruptly. I know he failed in getting the kanakku right. What does he keep murmurring to his accompanists and why the long pause before the Thani??
Mali tries some unnecessary gymnastics and fails to keep the rhythm ... :( What's worse he mocks his accompanists! Unfortunate idiosyncracies of the genius in full display here.
He is a Carnatic genius Sir...he illustrates various ways of how a raaga can be rendered....ways above the human mind...the mentioned flautists play phrases in a raaga which are common and known to everyone...
