DUDE!!! I never EVER leave comments, and I know this is an old video and you might not see this, but THANK YOU so much!!! Simple and straight forward, and saved me from dealing with those vultures at the dealership. You're awesome!!!
Excellent...none of the typical UA-cam 5 minutes of opinion and BS, ALL of the how to get it done, clear and in focus. You may not have any English, but you communicated perfectly.
Plus One on that. Usually they give a whole lot of superfluous B.S. before they get to the point of the video. Who wants to know when the manufacturer went to keyless entry? This is the type of video that informs without taking 20 minutes of your life to do it.
Thanks a million. The owners manual is completely useless. I just bought 2 sets of small screwdrivers to change this battery and all I needed was my Costco card!
Thank you! My grandmother has a spare key to my car and she got scammed 60 dollars to change the battery for her key fob 4 years ago. With your video, it only cost 5 dollars for me!
Thank you for the video!!! Simple, straight forward, easy to follow along, pure genius. Especially since I bought this (new to me) car 3 months ago and wasn't told SHIT about remote keyless whatever macbobs and then I get a warning from my car that key battery is low?? What?! Now who in their right mind would want a car that has a key that could die on them and basically render their car useless... WHAT?!?! Ok rant over, thank you again 🙏💜
Needing a refresher... don't remember how I got the battery out before but showing all it needed is to just pop it out is far easier... Thanks so much..
Superb! What a Serene, Clear, Detailed, and Thorough lesson. Appreciated your use of an alternate screwdriver. : ) Thank You, Thank You, Thank You W. Tseng and beautiful 4-legged friend. Highly recommend this tutorial.
“Do not touch” proceeds to touch it multiple times. But all jokes aside thank you for this video, my brand new one died, and the one I got with the car 5 months before the new one is now dying so I gotta get the batteries changed.
The difference between a CR2025 and a CR2032 is the thickness, the former is 2.5 mm thick, the latter 3.2 mm thick. As the contacts are two springs, both are likely to work but a CR2032 would last longer.
Thanks for showing how to crack open the case. My seal was a too bit tight for the credit card to work so I used those tiny eyeglass repair screwdrivers you get from the dollar store. Works equally, if not better. Yay, new battery!
Ya, this is adding an extra step. There’s a slot on the end specifically for popping the two halves apart. You separated this into 3 pieces unnecessarily.
You know there is different model of this fob and they open differently. The way he open without using the screwdriver it's a very nice idea it won't scratch or damage the plastic on the remote and you can see all the parts too
Thank you 🙏🏽 this video was so helpful. I didn’t realize it has 3 layers started to take it to the dealership, but thought I would UA-cam search first. On my way to get a later on today!
Thank you! Very helpful :-). When I took out my old battery, it was labeled CR 2025, but I put in a new CR 2032, and it works, even though CR 2032 is a bit thicker than Cr 2025 when I compare them side by side.
Check your key before you buy the battery (mine used a different size battery) Also mine was easier to open as I opened it (0:48) the battery was right there for me to switch, it didn't have the extra step he had
Thanks! My fob wound't unlock my Rogue today and I had to use the hidden key. Then the car wouldn't start. I had to mess around with all the buttons and keep pressing to get the car to start. Maybe it's the battery, but I sure couldn't find it!
Hahaha, it clearly says "Do not touch" on the circuit board, and your fingers are all over :). Verry funny. But hey, thanks for the information. It saved me lots of twisting around.
or if you just use a screwdriver and twist at the two notches on the top it'll let you bypass your first part and take you right to where you need to change the battery
use plastic on plastic is better for the remote fob keep your plastic look like new although is a couple extra step I think this is better way of doing it
Helpful vid! But this is a dumb idea. My moms battery died. Luckily the car was at the house, but if it wasn’t she would have be stranded not even able to turn the car on for A/C. I know the key can come out. They should at least have somewhere in the car you can use it to start.
Yes, my wife got stranded too, luckily she was not too far from home (and I was home), and had to go there with 2nd key to rescue. On way avoid this situation is - to change the battery battery at first sign of not working.
They have a workaround for that. Even with a dead battery, if you put the remote directly facing the push-start button (with the back of the remote facing the button), press the brake and then ignition, the car will turn on. It will still read the key. Hope this helps for next time!
Next time just put the key fob against the button you push to start the car and press the brake like you normally would to start and it will automatically start up when the key is dead... companies built in something in the key fob to sense when it’s against the push start button... mine is a Nissan Altima but mine never turned off on me always somehow caught back it’s signal🤣

Love how there is no talking. Getting to the point with visual directions in simple steps is awesome and easy to memorize
Plus One on that. Usually they give a whole lot of superfluous B.S. before they get to the point of the video. Who wants to know when the manufacturer went to keyless entry? This is the type of video that informs without taking 20 minutes of your life to do it.

😂😂😂😂
Love the fact there is no talking. Most people yammer on and on and on and on......
I was just gonna say 😂
Yeah straight to the point
I know right! Was watching two previous videos and kept talking and talking!
Say it again! 😄👍
Agreed. I just want to see it being done. I don't care about any pretext, how your day was, what you ate or what kind of dog you have.
Thank you! My grandmother has a spare key to my car and she got scammed 60 dollars to change the battery for her key fob 4 years ago. With your video, it only cost 5 dollars for me!
Glad to hear!
Brought a new battery (less than $2) and replaced in two mins. Saved me $7 and a trip to the dealership like I’ve done before
Did you have to reprogram your remote ?
wow so user friendly! it's like the company wants us to be able to change the battery on our own! super intuitive and easy to do!!!!!!
Couldn't agree more!
Thank you for the easy tutorial. I replaced mine in like 90 seconds.
Glad it helped
I wish every HOW-TO video on UA-cam was as perfect as this one.
thank you
Thanks so much! Opening the fob with a plastic card was the key (no pun intended). I didn't want to damage the outer casing.
Glad I could help!
Excellent! NO talking straight to the point. Thank you

Breathe, Ivy, it'll be ok, lol.
What if I don't have an Elite Membership Card for Marriott?
😄😅
A Sam's club membership card will do..other than that tho...your SOL. 🤣
Lol
😂😂
😂😂
Needing a refresher... don't remember how I got the battery out before but showing all it needed is to just pop it out is far easier... Thanks so much..
You're welcome!
Just switched the battery on my key phob and it went great. Thanks for not making it difficult dude 👌🏽
Glad it helped!
I never do anything right and you made me do it right! Thank you! ❤
I'm so glad!
Thank you! I found instructions on a dealer’s site but they were not that in depth. This was really helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for posting this video. I just bought a used 2008 Nissan Altima and one of the controllers was showing a low battery when starting the car.
Saved us a trip to the dealer. Thank you.
Glad to help
Yay! A quick and no talking video. Thank you! Now I don't have to ask my dad to do it lol
Glad I could help!
At 72 yrs old, weak hands, "the CREDIT CARD did the trick! TY
good to know that work for you
Appreciate this. It started not recognizing that there was a key presence in the my car. Wouldn’t even let me unlock the door when i was near by.
You're welcome!
Superb! What a Serene, Clear, Detailed, and Thorough lesson. Appreciated your use of an alternate screwdriver. : ) Thank You, Thank You, Thank You W. Tseng and beautiful 4-legged friend. Highly recommend this tutorial.
Just changed my battery, the credit card worked perfectly...thank you!!
Great to hear!
Thank you! I figured it was pretty simple, but I didn't want to break the fob by forcing it open in the wrong way.
Glad it helped!
“Do not touch” proceeds to touch it multiple times.
But all jokes aside thank you for this video, my brand new one died, and the one I got with the car 5 months before the new one is now dying so I gotta get the batteries changed.
Thanks, quick and easy! I have a newer fob, mine takes a CR2025...but same process.
The difference between a CR2025 and a CR2032 is the thickness, the former is 2.5 mm thick, the latter 3.2 mm thick. As the contacts are two springs, both are likely to work but a CR2032 would last longer.
Thank you so much! I successfully changed my battery thanks to you!
Thanks for showing how to crack open the case. My seal was a too bit tight for the credit card to work so I used those tiny eyeglass repair screwdrivers you get from the dollar store. Works equally, if not better. Yay, new battery!
Thank you. This video did help. Using a plastic card instead of a screwdriver. In the users manual the picture and print were just to small to read.
You’re welcome 😊
Thank you so much...trying to go to work...saved my day...thanks
You are welcome!
I love your silent tutelage

I just follow your instruction and everything works fine. thank you for showing this !
Thx for the help! Saves me a trip to the dealership!
You’re welcome 😊
Thank you, exactly what I needed the fob works better than ever. I appreciate you
Glad it helped
The best way. Get in the card at one point and then slice it all around, opens up nicely.
You’re welcome 😊
I love these videos with detailed verbal instructions 👍
Glad to hear it!

I changed mine from 2025 to 2025, and it's not working...wonder if I should try 2032?
Very well done video! I figured out exactly how to change the battery after watching
Happy to help thank you
Awesome, that was very important for me to know about it, my battery is dying, need replacement 👏👏👏. Thanks
You're welcome
Perfect video, short and to the point. Thank you for sharing
You're welcome!
Thanks For this upload, especially considering what Nissan wanted to charge...and I didn't break it.
Thanks , I saved some money watching your video !!
You’re welcome 😊
Thank you for saving me 25$ me love you long time 🖤
You’re welcome 😊
Thanks, worked great. My leaf had a cr 2025 battery, but when I put in a cr 2032, it also worked so it may be compatible with both
Good to hear
Check your key before you buy the battery (mine used a different size battery)

yes there is other type from nissan fob, maybe other video will help
Yes! Mine needed a 2025 battery.
I really appreciate this video. I was trying to figure out how to change it. Now I know. God bless.........!!!!
You’re welcome 😊
Great tutorial!!! Just changed mine's.
lol popped it open easy, checked the web, walmart sells battery for 5.95, dealership was going to charge me 12 bucks to switch it out!!! lol :-)
Thanks! My fob wound't unlock my Rogue today and I had to use the hidden key. Then the car wouldn't start. I had to mess around with all the buttons and keep pressing to get the car to start. Maybe it's the battery, but I sure couldn't find it!

Thank you for this man. Very helpful and informative. Easy that my brother and I could do it in the parking lot of a Target in 30° weather
Glad to help
Thanks for the great video, it really saved my day.
Hahaha, it clearly says "Do not touch" on the circuit board, and your fingers are all over :). Verry funny. But hey, thanks for the information. It saved me lots of twisting around.
Thanks! I did not even know there was a manual key in there!
No problem!
as said many times before, thank you so much!
You're very welcome!
Thanks, made it easy to find and replace battery.
Louwrens van der Merwe vla!as?
0:27. Ahh, the moment of revelation. And a plastic thin card does work better than a screwdriver.
Straightforward and easy, thanks! 👍
Never occurred to me to use a card like that. 😀😄 Great way to avoid marking up your fob 😍
I love it!
Thanks, saved me a headache working it out.
Glad it helped!
Thank you figured wasn't that hard but nice to see it done...
thanks. much better with a credit card than a screw driver which did not work. Nissan offers us a terrblee demo for this 1 minute battery replacement
You’re welcome 😊
I don't know how you opened it so easily with a credit card, but once I gave up on that and got a knife it was a breeze 👍
Probably he has already opened it a few times
Thank you! One less thing my husband has to help me with😂
You’re welcome 😊
Idk what that second thing you removed was. I just opened mine and it went straight to the battery
Thanks mine needs replacing right now!
Thank you! easy to follow and worked like a charm!
Glad it helped!
Thanks! This is the dumbest place to put a 🔋!
Saved $ and time. Thank you
Thanks 😊 from Southern California! 🤙
You're welcome!
Thanks. Totally needed this.
You’re welcome 😊
The battery isn't always CR2032. My Nissan Leaf's key fob takes CR2025 batteries. (The word CR2025 is carved into the plastic)
depends on the car
Well I'll be dammed!!!! 😳 Thank you so much!!!
You're welcome!
Thanks for posting this. BIG HELP!!!
You’re welcome 😊
I like it when they clamor and talk at least it did the demonstration for you
🤟 Thanks so much, this was a lifesaver and very easy
Glad it helped!
Need to swap batteries for mine, thanks for the video.
Glad I could help
Thank you I just replaced my husband battery for his Nissan.

@@sunshinesudoo4866 where to buy the battery please
link is in below the video
Thank you!! Because of you, I did it myself!
You’re welcome 😊
Thank you!! Now I can change my dad's thingy.
Glad I could help!
I was wondering how and where to get to battery makes sense, what kind of battery is that
Battery CR 2032
But yours could be different like cr 2025, depending on what it say when you remove the battery.
Video was so satisfying aha. Thanks really saved me a trip
You’re welcome 😊
Love the video! I just replaced my key and fob because I lost the original. Does anyone know how to program this smart key?
This was SOOO helpful! Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Lifesaver brother
Very welcome
Less is more just follow with your 👀. Very informative

the same thing happened to me today but in the middle of the turn thing to start the engine there is a place to insert the key to turn it on
