Early kills aren't really that worth unless they hand it to you on a silver platter because a wave of minions is worth more than a kill in the first 8 minutes. The first blood bonus is nice, but it's definitely much better to prioritize the trooper kills.
I think there are good arguments for mystic reverb to go on 3 or 4, both for the same reason, the slow. When you're running people down with 3 it makes you super sticky. When you're ulting the slow might mean the difference between someone finding cover or not.
12:04 i just wanted to mention the play here of switching directions and forcing infernus to choose between hitting him or vindicta with his ult and likely saving his vindicta's life in the process. Little plays like that are likely what separates him from other high level players.
Oh dear, I was watching my favourite aoe4 caster mentioning his new passion, namely deadlock. So I got interested in the game. Yesterday I was thinking, imagine that aussie would start casting this game. The moment I recognized the voice, I admit it made my day. Congratulations on your take on casting this game!
One thing that can be difficult for people to learn is to read the game state, with a lot of that info coming through the mini map, to know what you can get away with. Sure, it's not good to stockpile a bunch of souls and then get into a fight and die because you didn't have those items. But going back to buy is taking away from time you could be spending farming more souls. Depending on the state of the game, sometimes you want to stick around with low health and floating a bunch of souls, because the enemy isn't going to engage you so there's no risk. People either forget or don't know that collecting souls levels your character up, which makes you stronger even before you buy items. You want to buy when it's either unsafe to be in those places where you would be farming souls, or when it will provide a big boost at a good time.
The problem with this "raid boss" Seven build and the obsession of getting the most sould per minute is that you alone become your teams win condition, because in order for you to get that many souls means that in an equal match everyone else on your team is always behind on souls compared to the enemy team. Getting all the jungle camps and farming the pushing lanes from a far also forces your team to make risky plays, push for objectives and teamfight while being down on souls, at the same time you are fixated on farming more. Something like a well placed Wraith ult on a fed Seven early in a lategame teamfight will just win the game for the other team, I see that way too much in lower MMR games where not the most skilled players throw the game by going for this build and playstyle and then flaming their team for the loss because they had more souls than them, smh. I think "cannibal" Seven would be a better name than "raid boss" for this build. Thank you for reading my rant, I like your videos tho.
This, I also feel like not enough UA-cam videos point out that it's more important to have a feel for the game's flow and responding to what's happening on the map, now I get a bunch of matches with Sevens with a 10-20K soul lead over the team that have magic carpets, but those Sevens don't necessarily have a great game feel, are nowhere to be seen with team fights etc or just stick too close to "the guide"
It's a big problem I have with people copying "pros" and "meta builds" Without the game sense and technical skill, there's a chance they're actually going to do worse due to the belief they are doing the right thing, and the inability to properly adjust their play. Coming from starcraft, like mid diamond level, It's a die hard habit for me to be watching the minimap almost more than the main screen. But I think a lot of people just haven't learned that kind of skill, but it's kind of necessary in order to know what you can get away with.
Yeah, pretty selfish way of playing. I mean if you're the best it is probably ok. But all those resources on a mediocre player would more likely be a lose condition for own team..
after the first kill his focus was not to do what you said... he was focusing on following the healing creep to get 3 bursts of heal over 18 seconds which was able to get him into a safe hp well also killing the creeps so he can hit the jungle
I know you have a lot of Seven games but you incorrectly analyze a lot of situations and itemization in this game. In his early rotation on Wraith, he doesn’t place the ball because of any 5Head play on Wraiths escape, he lands his stun and just waits until the stun is gonna go off to place the ball. Pretty simple. You absolutely can body an Infernus early with a lead if you go Return Fire, watch Lefaa. He does this all the time on Seven in early mid game. You absolutely want a point in stun to be more effective on map earlier. Spiritual Overflow is a late game item for Seven. Honestly, stamina is better than boots on Seven. His move speed scales so well with building Spirit that the extra stamina is way better than boots, extra regen on it is nice too. Also, carpet is garbage. You shouldn’t have it in your build. And if you have extra stamina, then thats your escape. Also, slowing bullets and mystic slow are godly on Seven, again watch Lefaa’s Seven.
I'd say enduring speed and fleet foot is a really potent combo for mid game, lets you sprint from camp to camp to flash farm, while maintaining a presence in lanes and teamfights. not to mention not slowing down when firing feels really good in kiting and for a less amazing player like me, I can just back pedal away from bad fights faster than the enemy can chase.
@@HazelThymeLive yeah i agree. i prefer Kinetic Dash to Fleetfoot so i value the stamina more. But, if you like Fleetfoot, then boots would be a better fit.
@@coreyreynolds01 fleetfoot is objectively better than kinetic dash on characters that use their gun a lot. The passive where you keep full movement speed while shooting is actually VERY good and allows characters like wraith, ivy, and seven to stay mobile and dance around the fight and kite their enemies whereas kinetic dash only really gives a burst of movement and some dmg buffs when used. IMO kinetic dash is better utilized on characters that are more burst oriented like pocket who's main objective is get in do their rotation then get out. Its better for chasing but the consistant speed of fleetfoot's passive and the movement speed boost on the active is a must have early game for characters that spam their gun.
@@ryanhoang1123 Fleetfoot is nice, but it's definitely not objectively better. Arguably it's worse. Most top level players prefer Kinetic Dash in most builds where both are an option. The reason is uptime and the stats it gives. 20% fire rate for 7s on a 10.5s cd plus it refunds 1 stam, gives 100 health and 1.5 regen. That's insane value early. Fleetfoot simply gives move speed and extra ammo every for 4s every 19s. It's not really much of a comparison. That said, Fleetfoot is still good in certain builds, and the extra move speed for those 4s in a fight can be helpful on some heros. I consider it a preference thing, but I'll be honest. I rarely see Wraith's at the top level prefer Fleetfoot to K-Dash.
I love these kinds of videos, very easy to learn this way. Please more. You could improve even more by putting a screenshot of the item on screen when you talk about it. Just like MikaelS does in his videos when he buys an item.
I think not rushing Escalating Exposure earlier is a big itemization mistake. We've seen how extremely strong it is on heroes with ticking damage abilities like with Ivy and Shiv. Seven has repeated damage procs on both his 1 and 3 so he benefits amazingly. So does 4 but you're not using it much. I think the downside is missing some speed from the spirit.
Bruh, if his team didn’t do well without him, this game would’ve been a wrap, his buid and playstyle is really nothing special, that’s what all 7’s do, farm all game, get lucky with team=become raidboss, unlucky team=ez loss. Really don’t get the glazing
hello friend what do you think about surge of power on 1? permanent movement speed increase basically if you just spam balls and it also seems like a good early spike for farming
@@LuXx-kr6hh why spend 3k for 1ms when you can just buy like healing rite and do the same thing or enduring speed or like any other item. Plus surge of power is only useful for the bonuses on the skill you put it on. At base it only gives a few spirit power from being a 3k soul item and some HP, so you waste 3k to do something you can do for like
First of all, great video! But you’ve got a flaw in your causal reasoning. Collecting 800 souls two minutes earlier doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll get rapid recharge two minutes earlier. That assumes you can only farm 800 souls within two minutes otherwise. Cheers, from one nerd to another! ;)
Wait! No ball on level 1 to start annoying the enemies from the get go??? I guess it makes sence in a duo lane for a set up, but he played pretty defensive... So tbh, i don't really get it
You'll probably only get a kill if the enemy is fighting you too much and you're able to poke them down, though, so it's more consistent to farm and observe if the enemy overextends. Heroes with strong level 1 abilities will usually beat you in a level 1 all-in.
Why is he prioritizing farming jungle at 30 minutes in when he is full build? Shouldnt he focus more on finding picks, pushing lanes, supporting his teammates? I'm sure there's a reason I just can't figure out his reasoning
Oh man, i'm f*cked. I can't even remember what my first item should be on any character.. Oh well, i guess someone has to be the trash mob instead of the raid boss..
