3 heroes i've seen who seem to be able to do this snowballing effect with massive farming currently. Are Seven, Haze and McGinnis. Seven, like you showed here (better then i ever could). Haze in the way that once built to some extent, she can stay off map rather easily and farm the enemy jungles (though not as effectively as seven or McGinnis), while also popping into the flanks of team fights and getting kill or two only to disappear once again. And well, McGinnis's turrets can basically farm entire waves of creeps or even jungles without her even being there. Place one or two down depending on the jungle level, shoot a bit maybe and then start running to the next one. She her can always easily apply huge pushing pressure to any lane, to the point I've seen her take out a walker by herself in the span of a few seconds.
Unfortunately a lot of seven with this play style forget the part were they are supposed to hard carry the team at the end of the day. Plenty with just suck up all the souls on the map, leaving there team with a soul disadvantage. This is particularly rough because I main Lady Gueist and she also need to hyper farm to have an impact on the game. So I'll end up in a spot where I have limited impact and a Hyper farmed Seven that can't get a kill.
the amount of teammates i've watched teleport from either side of the map, farm both elites, run through cathedral to the back of the base, farm jungle creeps. all this while the enemy team is taking midboss, pushing lanes, playing the game. very frustrating, they never come online.
I was not expecting to see you in a deadlock video Drongo. But I'm happy I did. Hope you and family is doing good. oh and very excited for outback octagon 3.
The survivability point is great not only for the reasons you listed, but if you have a crazy soul lead over the enemy team and you die to them, they get a very large soul bounty for the amount of souls you have as a comeback mechanic. Not dying really is the best thing you can do with hyperfarm Seven
9:58 when I heard this I immediately groaned because I knew exactly what you were going to say. I don't think giving the enemy an opportunity for 500+ free souls when there's nothing going on in the map is a good idea at all, because it doesn't do anything for your team. I can understand if there's a fight going for some objective, but even then, you still end up losing those souls if someone isn't at the fight, and you aren't any closer to the fight than they are
I recently had a seven in my team like this. 70k net worth at end of the game, while others had ~50k(most had less) We lost. Dude was ignoring pretty much everything related to team grouping/defending/ganking (not to mention taking all jungle farm), first half of the game we were doing semi fine and even for some time, but quickly lost control of the map (there was also another “farming haze guy”). Then he came out and still died to enemy team with all his net worth. Farming is important, but decision making on when to and when not to is more important
i had a pocket who was doing a inferior version of this while i was playling lash( where i would sacrifice souls to maximise effectivity on the map ) there are counterpoint i have to this strat : -it generate individual lead , that can be lost easy thus you will only exert your lead when absolutly safe making it less woth -you are a single target IN DEADLOCK even with all the defesnive item in the world you will get down if the enemy team respond -you are monpolizing souls , canabilsing other player acces to it , making them weaker -if your team get bullied and you are splitpuching a single depusher is enought ( a lash , a pocket an haze ect...) someone that just cath the wave . letting the enemy team bus one or two lane - you are giving up tempo and map presence to focus on farm , you are thus surrendering strategic pression -only 1 person in the game can do it , perharps 2 if the enemy team do so , and your team need to play with you , and the enemy team need to ignore you . basicly it a gamble on reaching late game in a state where late game is playable and is higly dependant on teamate that are starved on ressource . it a good strat but it a extreme , that with braincelles , can be countered or mitigated heavily
Yeah, but if there is one thing you should get out of this video, it is RUSH MAGIC CARPET ) Seven clears waves very efficiently from safe distance, i don't even think maxing 1 is necessary, and what he does after that is up to you, thanks to mobility he reaches using this build. I'm having a lot of fun now buying slowing hex+a few 1k items, maxing stun 2nd and ganking/pushing/outpushing all the time as soon as I buy the carpet(about at 15min).
You say anyone with braincells can counter it but funneling souls into one or two hypercarries is a very popular and relevant meta in high elo gameplay.
Ivy is super nice for this as well with her Kuzdu. In fact, for the basement farms you can throw a Kudzu bomb in the center and run away entirely without shooting once if you have Kudzu scaled up a bit
Good night, fellas and WELCOME to Deadlock! Spawning in orange corner iiiiiits Seven. He is in my top 3 best heroes, as Yamato, Kelvin and Mirage... yea there're more than 3 heroes in my top 3 i guess
Viscous’s splatter is really good for farming too. It’s pretty much the same thing you do here, use splatter then go to the next camp. You can also use goo ball to kill red camps pretty fast early on.
Thanks, I've been noticing a lot of my matches everyone is super pushing but not really doing farm so I've been trying Kudzu farming with Ivy or Turret farming with Mcginnus (aiming for ricochet build, turrets are slow at it but they get the job done eventually). This was a lot of great info and I might even try it on Seven now. (How did I not know about those teleporters? and I was trying to find those gambling machines...) Thanks for the great info!
My man! Took my 3 watches to finally screenshot the name of your build. I am going to try it out. Any tips for players like me who are absolute ass at laning phase on how to run a discount version of this? Aka what to do if I collect my jungle souls at 12-13 minute mark and I am being pushed away from jungle?
Found ur updated build in game(also suggesting to add it in video desc), I think since u don't really fighting early I recommend swapping 1250 Spirit Lifesteal for Encanter's Barrier(even better when ganked on/figthing early), and Improoved Spirit before Surge of Power(a bit better for rotations, same overall damage increase across all buttons), also imbuing cooldown reduction on 2, coz 100% 3's uptime is reached very soon after. I personally play a little more ganky-teamfighty, but even to u I recommend early Slowing Hex and md duration extender, makes u a threat to anyone trying to solo gank u/push back wave. Also try Curse and Echo Shard lategame instead of some damage items, still bonkers combo.
Man you gotta rename the channel DrongoLock. After watching a bit, I was thinking "nice, get a drongo like guy for deadlock content....I guess all aussies sound like this"... Turns out it's you. Here's wishing Deadlock prospers for your sake
More people need to see this tbh, not even just for Seven, but for the game in general. One thing I frequently see when playing MOBAs that aren’t older like League and Dota is people don’t farm often. It’s usually people newer to the genre, so I can’t fault them much, but it’s a MOBA at the end of the day. Farming is essential. For Deadlock in particular, so many people play it like Overwatch where they just want to run in and team fight, which usually results in them falling way behind lol
How to grief every game you play: the guide You do realise that all the farm that you get your teammates dont get ? And the problem with that is that seven is a very bad hero to have a big lead, as he is: 1) easy to kill with 2 heroes unless you heavily invest in health especially if enemy is smart enough to buy debuff remover. 2) has less dpc late game than other "carry" heroes like haze or Vindictra. And im speaking from experience here as i had 3 games already with seven on the enemy team having 20+ k souls more than any hero in the game, dying from 2-3 heroes or just solo mo and krill in some cases and losing the game as his team is underfarmed.
Thats just bad seven players. He does not have less DPS than other carries, and solos most of them unless you stand in a unstoppable haze ult. Funneling farm into a hypercarry is literally the meta in high elo. Talk when you know what you're talking about
@@SleepyStreak what do you consider high elo I wonder ? The featured matches ? Or being top 1% on sites like tracklock ? Well anyway you are just plain wrong, I have over 100 games on seven and a lot of games on other "hypercarries" such as haze or Vindictra, and it is just an objective checkable in training fact that seven can't output damage of the same class as some other carries (of course I'm talking damage from weapon not to be confused with ball and ult) and is much less flexible as a carry. Also by going full "hyper carry" if you want to keep your gun damage relevant you usually need to to completely give up on ult outside of the mid boss building.
@@yamcha107 High elo would be roughly, top 1% or top 500. And if you consider only gun damage when hypercarrying, you're just a bad player. Shiv can hypercarry while building full spirit. So can Yamato, Viscious, etc... if you're not using ball in tandem with gun damage you're trolling. Even Deathy made a response video to this, one of the top deadlock players in the world, and called it good advice and good tips. And he mostly just reviewed the footage to give smaller criticisms on how you could improve the gameplay, like having shorter jungle rotations, pushing at certain times a bit harder before rotating to jungle, etc...
@@SleepyStreak Do you understand the difference between a snowball hero and a hypercarry ? Cause it really looks like you don't. Shiv can't farm with speed anywhere close to sevens, you are not going 20 mins afk farm/lane push leaving no farm to teammates on shiv.
The ball can do level ones with just its base form and no levels. Similarly, if you want to min-max super hard and still get the benefit of maxing an ability other than a ball if you want to build for power surge or stun, you can farm level 2 camps with 1 ball, if you pop 2 bursts into them first and have enduring spirit, improved spirit, bullet resist shredder, mystic vuln, duration extender, and suppressor. That costs only 10k souls, which is your 12th slot. So it does take a little bit longer to get it up and running, this provides some flexibility outside of just building ball. Stun or power surge build will help you more midgame, surge also helps clear larger camps that ball doesn't reach. I currently max surge, stun, ult, ball in my build. The extra dps is nice but the movement slow is more useful IMO, and i very rarely use his ult until late game anyways.
Mo & krill is another good contender for a god tier farmer I think. I used a build similar to this on him earlier and ended the game with 71k souls at 39 minutes 30k souls up on the entire lobby. Getting your burrow to level 2 asap alongside torment pulse and mystic vulnerability lets you one shot camps just as fast as seven. And if you have basic magazine and monster rounds then you can still clear camps fast enough to get back to lanes to farm because of the passive damage from torment pulse. Level 3 burrow with superior cooldown is where it really shines though
i've been doin same with lady geist. Her one ability is also super nice for fast clears. Specially the bigger one in *basements* that ability will fill whole room. Maybe i should give a chance for seven too! :D
I have been a registered ball maxxer for a while now and I have a few tips. Put reach into your build, it's required to 1 ball shot the 2 creep camps in the bottom left and top right of the map, even after the ball radius buff. Reach also pairs very well with all of seven's abilities so it has use outside of farming. Tesla bullets are mid as hell and are honestly not worth the price, even just for farming.
@@evsanger people hype them up since they're considered good for farm, but in reality they don't do much damage, so it's not worth getting it if you already have good tools to farm (like with seven having his 1 and 3, and haze always getting ricochet)
just did this with mcginnis yesterday, turret build and your turret clears camps on its own. with the right buys you can have 12 turrets at any time on a 1s cooldown lol
Geist main here. This is extremely similar to how I play Geist. Max out her bomb as fast as possible and dump every item I can into making it better. Combine that with Leech, Spirit Drain, and Alchemical Flask, and while it's not the best offensive build, it farms and defends insanely.
Definetly trying out Magic Carpet in my build now. Soul numbers are stagerring, but still had a few question about your build: 1) is tesla bullets really needed? Bying Improoved spirit results in same dps increase JUST from your 3, not to mention all the other benefits. 2) Is supressor -> mystic slow must have every game? Games I try it myself it doesn't feel that impactfull 3) Enchanter barrier 20 spirit+8% CDR for 1250, bying it every game just for farm, and guessing u tried it also, why decided on not including? 4) Is superior stamina kind of a preference, or in your expirience a must have for survival? Pondering on it myself atm.
I want to add to this that I have found majestic leap to help a lot with navigating the map and bouncing from camp to camp. I would buy this instead of tesla bullets, especially since it got nerfed.
1. No it's not, in fact its arguably terrible on Seven. 2. Yes. Mystic slow is spread by your 3. Teamfights result in everyone on the enemy team receiving the debuff. It's great for split pushing also as it reduces the threat from any potential heroes you face. 3. Enchanter barrier is definitely a worthwhile investment. Will look into timing for it. 4. Superior stamina is a preference for me, but the extra stamina it provides is just too good. If you've got strong presence of mind and can avoid spending your stamina except for emergencies, you could forgo this item.
@@Your_Deadlock Wait am I missing something? You say tesla bullets are terrible on seven but it's in your build? Also I've been running majestic leap early and it has it's pros and cons but definitely going to be trying carpet now.
@@Your_Deadlock 1. I disagree. Tesla bullets gets your procs on mystic vulnerability. That with bullet resist shredder makes it so you never need to use a power surge to clear a large camp or minion wave. Ensures the ability is always up for team fights. Furthermore, mystic slow is also spread by tesla bullets. So its always good to have IMO because just like how you run spirit shredder it makes it so with powersurge your bullets and spirit are both working in tandem. 4. I agree with this. Seven is also a special case since his movement speed scales with his spirit, so there is an argument to not even need stamina items
@@Glacityy Seven's 3 is close to 100% uptime by the time u buy Carpet with this build. I personally even take improved duration+cooldown+some spirit item like Slow Hex, and get to it earlier if needed. Also Tesla has an internal cooldown, about 0.5 sec I guess, so it's way less damage then one might assume
I like the concept and have personally been ball maxxing since stun nerfs but I disagree with tesla bullets as a buy since it defeats the purpose of maxing the ball early just to spend your first major purchase on a shooting item. You could get rapid recharge/improved spirit or Enchanters barrier/veil walker to double down on your safe and roam oriented playstyle. The upside being that you would be getting far more Spirit power from these items making the ball stronger.
Can confirm this works pretty well. I lost my lane (because I was playing the sweatiest lash), died 3 times, and still won and ended with more souls than anyone in the game.
I think I played a match with a 7, doing a similar route. Once I caught on I just looked at the map to see which jungle he's at. Went back and forth that match, I think we lost but that was 2 weeks ago

Yessss love me some drongo content. Got hooked on the Beyond All Reason videos way back when.
Yo its Drongo! Found you on BAR btw, have another sub :D
new aussie drongo channel?? aoe legend expanding love to see it
As a Seven main, thanks for making this video! Very in depth and well explained! Even after all his nerfs Seven remains strong!
OZZIE DRONGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! Keep it up bro, much love!
Nice guide! Expected nothing less coming from you, always loved your ability to explain stuff in AoE 😀
These are the type of players not in the lanes while guardians and walkers get taken out by minions... Great work dude
Become Aladin, dont die. Got it! Great vid, learned a lot!
The only thing I find myself asking is what to do when your lane is getting pushed in hard and the sacrifices you make for farming vs staying to protect your lane. Everything mentioned here is golden, but not sure if I can apply some of these tactics during hard pressure.
Actual quality video +1
Are we not gonna talk about the absolutely CRISPY movement at 9:19?
good, but not insane, its not even walljumping
just superior stamina+seven's movespeed scaled by spirit
I recognise that voice.
been watching you since age of empires 3 content.
good to see you making deadlock content.
Awesome video, very informative!
So good man, hope you upload more in the future. Subscribed and liked 👍
I began with playing pocket but after one game of seven using this build i think I am in love. This is my new pick from now on lol
Good quality vid, keep it up man
Excellent video, I look forward to the rest of your content 👍
I been using your build but skip using Magic Carpet since I didn't know what the use was. Now I understand I'll grab it now.
When I clicked, I thought the YourOverwatch guys had made a Deadlock channel 😆
Then, I realized that I was wrong! And I’m glad I was. This was so good, man. You deserve more views & more subs, but I’m confident that they’ll come if you keep making videos.
I’ll be back for sure. I subbed AND rang the bell! 🔔
I WISH freedo would leave that horrid game and make deadlock.
@@josephreynolds2401 I think he’ll see the light eventually, but I wonder if it’ll be too late by then 😔
Thank you so much for this Oracle II rank guide, my girlfriends boyfriend is Eternus and he said I should follow this ❤️
fantastic video and narration. I hope your channel blows up. Gave a like and subscribe
Much appreciated!
Loved this man, I've been trying to make a farming Haze / Wraith, who knew Seven was the tech all along.
This might also work with McGuiniss
really good video, very well put together
Clicked this video unexpectedly... whos that voice.. AUSSIEE DRONGOOO MY BOYY
Bryan Johnson would love this video so much
you just earned a sub! great video sir!
Very informative and well made video, thank you.
Drongo! You checky man! From AOE to Deadlock I see huh? :D WP
I agree. Doesn’t matter how many souls you have unless you’re actually in the team fights
the amount of teammates i've watched teleport from either side of the map, farm both elites, run through cathedral to the back of the base, farm jungle creeps. all this while the enemy team is taking midboss, pushing lanes, playing the game. very frustrating, they never come online.
i've been running triplestun with echo shard and refresher, i'll definitely try your build today :D
I can understand if there's a fight going for some objective, but even then, you still end up losing those souls if someone isn't at the fight, and you aren't any closer to the fight than they are
Seven is by far my favorite character. So fun to steamroll with him
I recently had a seven in my team like this. 70k net worth at end of the game, while others had ~50k(most had less)
We lost.
Aussie Drongo jumpscare i was not ready for this voice and it not be "Welcome to a casted game" LOOOL
magic carpet is such an underrated item its like having an on-demand mini ivy ult
Quality vid keep it up
Thanks, will do!
Not expected to hear drongo's voice in a deadlock video.
i had a pocket who was doing a inferior version of this while i was playling lash( where i would sacrifice souls to maximise effectivity on the map )
there are counterpoint i have to this strat :
-it generate individual lead , that can be lost easy thus you will only exert your lead when absolutly safe making it less woth
-you are a single target IN DEADLOCK even with all the defesnive item in the world you will get down if the enemy team respond
-you are monpolizing souls , canabilsing other player acces to it , making them weaker
-if your team get bullied and you are splitpuching a single depusher is enought ( a lash , a pocket an haze ect...) someone that just cath the wave . letting the enemy team bus one or two lane
- you are giving up tempo and map presence to focus on farm , you are thus surrendering strategic pression
-only 1 person in the game can do it , perharps 2 if the enemy team do so , and your team need to play with you , and the enemy team need to ignore you .
basicly it a gamble on reaching late game in a state where late game is playable and is higly dependant on teamate that are starved on ressource .
it a good strat but it a extreme , that with braincelles , can be countered or mitigated heavily
Yeah, but if there is one thing you should get out of this video, it is RUSH MAGIC CARPET )
Seven clears waves very efficiently from safe distance, i don't even think maxing 1 is necessary, and what he does after that is up to you, thanks to mobility he reaches using this build.
I'm having a lot of fun now buying slowing hex+a few 1k items, maxing stun 2nd and ganking/pushing/outpushing all the time as soon as I buy the carpet(about at 15min).
@@sujetgoogol8477 yhea magic carpet enable extremly mobile mid game which is very scary
Good to hear Drongo's voice in a new game! All the best mate
first video?
Viscous’s splatter is really good for farming too. It’s pretty much the same thing you do here, use splatter then go to the next camp. You can also use goo ball to kill red camps pretty fast early on.
12:50 if not for my own reference, this is his build
Is it cause that says raid boss 3 max farming? And i dont see magic carpet there either.
Is it cause that says raid boss 3 max farming?
@@InnerMedium oh well it's A build anyway, maybe not his lol
Thanks, I've been noticing a lot of my matches everyone is super pushing but not really doing farm so I've been trying Kudzu farming with Ivy or Turret farming with Mcginnus (aiming for ricochet build, turrets are slow at it but they get the job done eventually). This was a lot of great info and I might even try it on Seven now. (How did I not know about those teleporters? and I was trying to find those gambling machines...) Thanks for the great info!
Do you by chance also do Age of Empires 4 and Age of Mythology casting? Good job at all 3 games.
Also try Curse and Echo Shard lategame instead of some damage items, still bonkers combo.
whats the name? i tried search and didnt find
@@leoespiindola I typed "Farm God". And I think it got Your Deadlock in the name also
that is why someone should put it in the descr of the video ;)
How to grief every game you play: the guide
You do realise that all the farm that you get your teammates dont get ? And the problem with that is that seven is a very bad hero to have a big lead, as he is:
1) easy to kill with 2 heroes unless you heavily invest in health especially if enemy is smart enough to buy debuff remover.
Shiv can't farm with speed anywhere close to sevens, you are not going 20 mins afk farm/lane push leaving no farm to teammates on shiv.
this is excellent content, this channel will take off for sure
Level 3 burrow with superior cooldown is where it really shines though
chill vid, nice tips ty
3 max skipping tesla bullets can hit the same benchmarks, If the enemy decides to hunt you is the main limiting factor on income not build order.
i've been doin same with lady geist.
Why are Tesla bullets mid? People seem to really hype them up. I feel like they're a little redundant when you aren't using your gun on camps
@@evsanger It's probably quite redundant when Seven's 3 already does what Tesla bullets does, just way better
@@evsanger people hype them up since they're considered good for farm, but in reality they don't do much damage, so it's not worth getting it if you already have good tools to farm (like with seven having his 1 and 3, and haze always getting ricochet)
@@evsanger i think one of the biggest things tesla bullets is good for is procing spirit damage items on your gun, but seven already does that
Sounds like this would work for McGinnis as well. Max turrets and cooldown reduction, drop turrets on camps with a heal for bigger ones
did the same with IVY, i main Ivy this is great for roster/ Similar Concept
just did this with mcginnis yesterday, turret build and your turret clears camps on its own. with the right buys you can have 12 turrets at any time on a 1s cooldown lol
Geist main here. This is extremely similar to how I play Geist. Max out her bomb as fast as possible and dump every item I can into making it better. Combine that with Leech, Spirit Drain, and Alchemical Flask, and while it's not the best offensive build, it farms and defends insanely.
I really enjoyed the don’t die segment
I have no idea why but this build works so much better for me than the new one.
Definetly trying out Magic Carpet in my build now. Soul numbers are stagerring, but still had a few question about your build:
1) is tesla bullets really needed? Bying Improoved spirit results in same dps increase JUST from your 3, not to mention all the other benefits.
2) Is supressor -> mystic slow must have every game? Games I try it myself it doesn't feel that impactfull
3) Enchanter barrier 20 spirit+8% CDR for 1250, bying it every game just for farm, and guessing u tried it also, why decided on not including?
This video hit low mmr seven players like crack hit the streets in the 80's
nice video, checked build on internet its already changed, i guess tesla bullets got removed cause weak purchase?
Magic carpet seven is just eletric ivy, its beautiful
Terrific video funnily. This was already my game plan, and I've been preforming amazingly with it
Can confirm this works pretty well. I lost my lane (because I was playing the sweatiest lash), died 3 times, and still won and ended with more souls than anyone in the game.
was he sweaty or just better than you?
I think I played a match with a 7, doing a similar route. Once I caught on I just looked at the map to see which jungle he's at. Went back and forth that match, I think we lost but that was 2 weeks ago
Great video. I look forward to your next video
This is like, a 700 elo lobby at best.
This is a great strat for those who want to stay hardstuck.
great video!
Dude your voice is too recognizable. As soon as you started talking I'm like theres no way this is Aussie Drongo. And then you introduced youself 😂
This has gave me the idea to try to goo max with viscous since his ball just be one shoting jungle camps
