This video really resonated with me I recently pivoted after a decade of doing nails in the salon and owning a nail salon, the part where you said you were figuring out who you are outside of my make up, this was me. It’s so real.

Appreciate your honesty about how the journey of creating and launching these projects feels - trusting your vision despite all the uncertainty that comes from not knowing how things will be received and whether they will resonate must be hard, but I'm sure that not letting any doubts take over is worth it! It's interesting that you mentioned that your Harlem series and your podcast aren't directly connected to your make-up work. If that is of any reassurance, I think you're an amazing story teller - even though I personally don't do make up and don't really have any good reason to be watching videos about it, I always tune into your instagram lives when I have a chance just because you're a super interesting person to listen to. So I'm sure you have a lot to offer to the world through other projects like podcasts and UA-cam series. Keep being you and good luck!

A few things…my son and I use sulphur 8 grease also we have very sensitive itchy scalp and it helps. I feel like I’ve been in a creative crisis also but mainly because I’m experiencing stresses in other aspects of my life which prevents me from thinking clearly or creatively. I will try journaling to get the wild jumbled thoughts out of my head.

I think we all struggle with wondering if all our hard work was worth it. And I’m new to this makeup and creating this type of content, and when I see certain reels or videos do well, I’m like wow really? But I try to remember the individuals my content resonated with, that one person who stays on a Live or says oh, I didn’t know that. Still people are finicky. I say just try to stay authentic to yourself and your mission or brand. And gather with good friends on occasion to remember who you are.
