I feel like we might've gotten something pretty close or keeping many of the gimmicks they have. Being able to switch between Pyra and Mythra for different stats and specials. Obviously the normal moves would change to better fit Rex but the specials I imagine would be similar or maybe change his up special to be anchor shot. A thing I could see added for him is that specials that involve bringing Pyra or Mythra out to attack he'd be able to move freely like Pyra can during her side B. I do hope to see Rex get his chance in a future Smash game
My idea for implementing Rex into the Pyra/Mythra transformation would be to implement the “Vanguard Switch” mechanic from Torna, as well as making Rex a sort of balanced in-between character stats wise between Pyra and Mythra
Exactly the same for me. My number 1 character that I wanted added to Smash was Rex and Pyra/Mythra as an Ice Climbers type character. But Aegis on their own is still hype for me and why I main them.

I hate how much fun Pyra and Mythra are. They’re easy to pickup and do well with, and they both have moments where it feels just plain fun to play as them. Mythra’s speed makes you feel like no one can run away from you, and it is satisfying to hit people with Pyra due to her kill power.
As an Aegis main I also hate it personally I find this character really fun I always wanted a speed/power kind of character and I picked up a lot along the way from brawl to ultimate I was a Pit main in smash 4 and I loved the fact he was a all rounder (meaning a good character) pls Aegis growth needs to stop
Extremely simple and powerful basic gameplan. Mythra is very easy, gets in, racks up damage and has foresight and speed defensively. Then Pyra spams whatever once they are in cornered. What's interesting though is their falloff at top level. Leo, despite doing pretty well maining them, has shelved them again. Shuton is the only really consistent one and he still uses olimar a lot as well. Cosmos is...Cosmos. Despite many other top tiers having bad recoveries, theirs is just slightly too exploitable and it makes them die quite suddenly with decent regularity. Pyra also despite having a ton of power, doesn't consistently blow people out super reliably at early percents since it's risky to be Pyra too often and her neutral is bad. Their neutral is also a little too linear and predictable and they don't have good ranged poking tools either. As such, as long as you play super consistently and carefully, they are insanely consistent and reliable, but they can get upset really easily with just one slip up and they surprisingly have a relatively mild upset factor themselves. I still think if someone was dedicated enough to really push and optimize them, that they have the power and potential to be a dominant character, but nobody so far seems to have quite clicked with all the pieces. Leo had the best disadvantage and recovery (key to not getting blown up too often) along with the best Pyra (especially his dtilt up air kills and general godlike spacing) and most deliberate use of foresight. Cosmos has the best Mythra when he's not throwing, faster, more aggressive with longer and more rewarding combos and better use of lightning buster. Someone just needs to smush those two together...
It's actually pretty funny how comparable they are to Xenoblade 2 considering once you get Mythra you're essentially just gonna use her for anything and then pull out Pyra when you need it lol
But is very difficult to mix both playstyles because they require different mentality, just like Shulk oddly enough. Mythra prefers to be agressive, Pyra needs to abuse her range and you need to determine which playstyle is better at which given moment, while also playing smash with your opponent. While Mythra is the obvious choice on low percentage and Pyra is normally better at kill ones, at mid percent is not very clear which one is better, and you need to commit to one form. Luckily they're easy on terms of excecution, which is why they're so good.
@@N12015 True, not many people are both good at fast rushdown combo and defensive spacing, let a lone being able to swap back and forth at a moment's notice. Mythra can play a bit slower, trying to bait and wiff punish at least, though her lack of a projectile to force approaches hampers that.
@@SoloJustus Fun Fact: Monolith Soft the company that makes Xenoblade, was founded by former SquareSoft developers. SquareSoft would soon change their names to SquareEnix.
Your forgetting the most important reason Waifus are rated E for everyone Also why play a sword fighter when you can just cut the fighter part and play a blade? Pyra and mythra are more direct like that.
I think a big part of why people didn't feel bad about FP2 until aegis came out was because the previous characters spent months where the only competitive play available was online, and most people really didn't care about wifi. Aegis was the newest character when NA started having locals on a widespread scale. Plus for the people who didn't play during quarantine, they came back to 3 crazy strong characters that weren't present before (and sephiroth).
What's funny is that the Aegis is the most overhated character of FP2 because people could tell they were great immediately. They didn't pay attention to the pure cancer of game design of Min-Min, Kazuya, and Steve till it was too late. It's pretty funny since Sora, Aegis, and Sephiroth are better designed characters that only well-known players are known for maining.
Xenoblade 2 is one of my favorite games of all time, so I was extremely hype when she came out. Then the Aegis just kinda turned out to be really good. I also like how her blade switching mechanic kind of brings back the same ability Zelda/Sheik used to have as a 2-in-1 fighter. (of course I was also a little salty when people got mad because 'waaa anime swordfighters')
You should make a vid about banjo, not only is he one of the most technical characters in the game when it comes to his different options and bregull blaster, but he’s almost always regarded as low-bottom tier and has so much more potential
@@megaplatformer2702 Banjo needs to be very patient and attack when the opponent makes a mistake or be campy if Banjo can't find an opening. He's kinda like Sonic in a sense. In Banjo Tooie, boss fights are about running away from the bosses until they expose themselves. It also take about 6 mins to beat the Hag 1 in Banjo Tooie as well. Also Banjo's nair can sometimes damage characters on shield. One trick I discovered is that Banjo can edge guard with nair, and if Shockspring jump isn't enough he can use Wonderwing to make it back on stage.
I just play them because XC2 is my third favourite game of all time and Pyra&mythra (specifically them alone without Rex) was the character I wanted the most to be in smash
Ngl Pyra and Mythra are the characters with the most impact in my life as weird as it sounds, I had so much fun playing them (mostly Pyra which is ironic considering I thought she was too slow for me to enjoy compared to sarcasm personified over here.) that I got Xenoblade 2, which I wasn’t even aware existed before the Aegis got added, and it’s now probably my favorite game of all time and I can always go back to it if I wanna just relax. So honestly the Aegis have legitimately affected my life in several ways and that’s really funny to me considering their game was a thing I wasn’t even aware of before they came out. Now I need to play a Fatal Fury Game….
They are incredibly strong at a competitive and top-tier level, but unlike most DLC, they are completely broken on a casual level. Pyra and Mythra have attacks that KO at low%, have insane speed and power, very few opportunities to be hit, decent survivability, and attacks that take up a max of 3/4 of the map depending on what you chose. On top of this, they are a sword fighter so anyone who knows how to play half the roster knows how to combo, counter, and use every A button attack fairly well. Oh and that Venn diagram is completely true. Each one is just a character missing 1 rarely used attack, so 95% of a character plus 95% ends up with an overturned duo of gods who have every single good trait and type of attack seen in the entire game.
Mythra's neutral special has weight-independent knockback, so she can always reliably kill at the same % with Lightning Buster regardless of if she's fighting Bowser or Pichu. I don't think she has a "kill power issue". You can coast the game with Mythra and finish the stock with Lightning Buster every time, provided your opponent loses their marbles... Which is really easy to achieve with her speed and pressure.
Something I've noticed that makes it really easy to recover online as Aegis is that people tend to edgeguard the spot where they think you're gonna be, but since Pyra and Mythra's physics are so different, you can swap in the air and get a pretty free recovery so long as you change how you're drifting to accommodate said physics. I've even double swapped midair to get an easier recovery
The bad thing about Zelda/Sheik was that Zelda not only gave up mobility and attack speed but she also gave up good hitboxes. Most of Zelda's power either comes from moves that have small hitboxes, have multihits that can be fallen out of, require sweetspots on moves that are basically unsafe on sourspot, or are so slow that they're massively unsafe if they don't connect. Pyra is much better designed in the sense of actually being able to utilize the increased power she's supposed to be used for.
Zelda is an incredibly depressing character. It's weird how they still designed her like Sheik is a part of her moveset. She should have some of Sheik's tools (needles) in place of her shitty side-b, much stronger mobility, fairs and bairs that work like Melee Falcon's knee, and a tuned down or reworked phantom.
@@ZAPRST8879 "BOTW Zelda" Fuck that Zelda. "heik needles wouldn't hepl zelda that much" When Zelda is given more mobility to land her up-air or fair. No.
@@orangeslash1667 No. The problem with Sheik and Zelda is that the devs keep fucking them up in every smash game and refuse to undo some of the unwarranted bullshit they had in Melee (making Zelda unbelievably awful with a stupidly rushed kit. Change her fair or bair already. nintendo. Give her mobility!) and Smash Poor (making Zelda and Sheik no longer stance characters for no reason).
A basic gameplan, simple moveset, and the ability to quickly change character stas mid game is what makes them so popular and so hated. Add on the fact that Mythra has foresight, long combos with decent range, and that Pyra has kill power that is comparable to that of a heavy, as well as an incredibly annoying projectile, makes them a definitive top tier that is within the realm of being one of the best characters in the game. Their only major weakness is their recovery, but otherwise they got tools that bottom, low, mid, and even some high and top tiers can only dream of. The way I like to describe Pyra/Mythra is that they are a more consistent Joker. Mythra acts as base Joker but with more range and no projectiles (unless you count up special), whilst Pyra acts like an on-demand Arsene but with slower ground and air speed. Prior to getting nerfed and having FP2 release, Joker was the definitively best DLC character in the game and was a contender for the best character in the game (only really be rivaled by Pikachu back then). Nowadays, while Joker is still considered a definitive top tier due to his incredibly good moveset and recovery, he's just not what he used to be anymore. He's not as great as he used to be because of the nerfs, he's not as simple to play as the Aegis, and he's nowhere near as consistent as the Aegis either. Not only does Joker have to compare with the Aegis for being the best DLC character in the game, he also has to compare with Steve who at this point is Ultimate's Brawl Meta Knight and 4 Bayonetta. FP2 has acted like a massive power creep to not only the base roster, but also to FP1 as well. While Steve is clearly the best DLC in the game and arguably the greatest character in all of Ultimate, I'd say most of the power creep for 90% of the roster is due to Pyra/Mythra. I'd say that Pyra/Mythra can best be considered the 4 Cloud of Smash Ultimate. They are a (mostly) low skill character with a high reward, acting as the ultimate gatekeeper character to not only the majority of the Smash roster, but also the majority of the competitive Smash player base as well. While I'm not really a part of the competitive Smash community anymore, I do somewhat fear that the combination of Steve and the Aegis, as well as characters like Min Min and Kazuya, will kill all interest in competitive Ultimate just like how both the Ice Climbers and Meta Knight killed competitive Brawl and how both Cloud and Bayonetta killed competitive 4. Let's hope it doesn't come down to that, but unfortunately it's not looking too hot for the game right now.
I was watching the nintendo direct and was so hyped when i saw xenoblade chronicles 2 and was hoping for more story and was sad to see it was just a dlc character
Wow, what timing. Was watching the Recovery Video just yesterday and these two were mentioned (or at least they were in the comment section, don't remember). This should be enlightening. Can't wait for the Chrom video.
I literally just bought aegis today to use in world of light and I said to myself "man, these two are insanely strong, I wonder if they're top tier" so I looked it up on UA-cam and found this video, and it only proved my observation, but they're so fun to play
@@nathanielreichert4638 I'd bet on it. When MK8 DLC is done, Nintendo will go back to Smash Ultimate and probably release 4-12 new characters. It's just too profitable to stop now
@disneydiscussionduo7256 Key word, "if you know how to play them." And even then, I don't think he's that good. *If you know how to play him,* sure, he might be top 10 in the game. But nobody knows how to play him to the point that he's a top meta threat. You have to be extremely skill and efficient with him, like Riddles or Tea, if you wanna do good. And even then, I think that Kazuya isn't that hard to fight if you actually play the matchup correctly. But then I hear people say, "they don't wanna play against somebody who kill you at zero (Kazuya) or who camps you all day (Steve)." But I don't hear people wanting to ban other characters who play the same. Like Luigi, Min Min, Sonic, Wario, etc. So that's why I say it's a skill issue. If they can deal with those characters, then why cant they deal with Kazuya and Steve?
@disneydiscussionduo7256 Yeah. I know. It's just that I see A LOT of people online who dont understand how much skill you actually need to play Kazuya properly. I see most of them say, "you just practice in training mode for a few hours, and you're a good Kazuya", but you clearly know that's not true. At least you get where I'm coming from lol

I honestly hate how blatantly overpowered the DLC characters are. It was like this in Smash 4 and its like this in Ultimate. Even if they're balanced enough (usually... looking at you Steve) to be defeated by older characters, you can tell they have an advantage over previous fighters.
@@skylandersfan6954 Yes overpowered is an exaggeration... but not by much. They have weaknesses but they're not even nearly as exploitable as other characters. Their nature as DLC characters means they have fewer balancing patches, more forgiving hitboxes, and usually some kind of fancy special mechanic. There's a reason so many of them are top tier, its not just a coincidence... Steve though? Nah Steve is definitely overpowered. Being able to create platforms and walls wherever you want, a command grab projectile minecart that also acts as a burst movement option, UP TILT... and simply the fact that you can literally cancel hit stun at will? Yeah. Overpowered. No resource management is going to stop that.
@@lasercraft32 Steve's weakness is that he's pretty slow. He's easy to zone as long as you're carful. As long as you wait for him to attack first, punishing him is very easy. Just like kazuya attacking him first is pretty dangerous, so try to outsmart him.
@@orangeslash1667 Steve does have weaknesses... but not as many as he has strengths. He _moves_ slow, but he _attacks_ fast. His frame data is crazy. Steve's playstyle also revolves around making your opponent come to you. Literally any character can be defeated, nobody is unbeatable. But a good Steve player will stall you out until you have no choice but to approach, as they can spam minecarts and build walls to block you off. In casual play, yeah Steve is nothing... but in competitive there's a reason tournaments are opting to ban him.
@@lasercraft32The main reason tournaments are banning Steve is because of the "phantom MLG" glitch, which tournament organizers don't want to have to spend obscene amounts of time and effort to police for. Aside from that, he's nowhere even close to Brawl Meta Knight or Smash 4 Bayonetta levels of broken, and there were no widespread bans on either of them
The Aegis are extremely good characters that are extremely easy to use. Boom! I explained it all in one sentence! Honestly though, it is disheartening that many people *feel* like they have to play Aegis just because they are easy top tier swordies. I've seen far too many players drop their cool obscure mains just to solo main Aegis (and they didn't look like they were having fun). Just because it's "optimal" to play a top tier on paper, doesn't mean you should. WaDi explained it best: the more you enjoy playing a character, the more you want to push that character's meta as you develop as a player. Play who you want, gamers! If you like Aegis, nice! If not, no shame! Don't let any player (including top players) shun you into dropping a main you love for Aegis. I'm saying this not because I dislike Aegis (I am actually starting to like them), but because I've been legit ridiculed for not using "top tiers" in tournament. I tried playing top tier swordies like Roy and Aegis, but eventually I realized that they are not for me. My character crisis was over after I picked up Marth and Corrin again :)
One of the major flaws of competitive play... it takes away the joy of playing if you let it. Too many people judge based on tier lists. Its especially notable if you main a low tier character like Doc or Mac. You literally can't without multiple people "casually" mentioning how low tier they are. And you're totally right. Playing as a character because they're high tier even when you don't enjoy it sucks. And getting judged for playing (or not playing) a character because of their tier sucks.
@@lasercraft32 It kind of makes me wish Smash had a system like Smogon's tiering in place, but that seems way harder to do with a platform fighter than a TBRPG
Who would trade an original low/middle tier pick for an easy-to-win-with character just to get wins? That’s like the g@yest thing ever. I wouldn’t even play that kind of loser.
I nearly did that with Ganondorf, then I realized I enjoyed playing him just a bit more than I enjoyed aegis, and kind of now main the both of them in general
Pyra/Mythra are fun but I legit feel kinda bad playing them sometimes. The first time I hit down air into up smash as Pyra was I think the first time I really realized "okay, maybe there really _is_ something wrong with this character's tuning." Definitely looking forward to the Pokémon Trainer video, they're my main and I'm really interested in seeing how other people see them.
I mean there is technically nothing wrong with picking a character in a video game at least in theory however it does mean that you would never be a crowd pleaser if anything people would boo Aegis
Great character, and few people take advantage about foresight. Mkleo tried it sometimes, but he switched so quickly to Pyra and characters as Diddy and Wario destroying her quickly.
I was about to comment that Aegis is literally Smash 4 Cloud but then you immediately said it. Cloud and Bayo made me pretty much completely stop playing Smash 4 online. Hot take: I liked the Smash 4 online til it was just the same 2 characters over and over. At least with Ultimate I still see variety online for the most part.
As someone who's put hundreds of hours into both Xenoblade 1 and 2, seeing their reveal trailer got me so hyped that I was absolutely determined to main them, no matter how good they were. It was honestly just a bonus that they're super good and top tier, I'd love playing Pyra/Mythra regardless 😊
I think something not many people talk about is how fast and freely you can change from pyra to mythra, while to change pokemon you have to follow an order and it takes a good time, and shulk has cooldowns between monados.
Smash 4 Cloud was a general all-around good character. The main issue with him is that you could literally button mash because all of his attacks had massive range and zero punish window. I can't think of a single character who can button-mash their way to victory.
Makes me think of how cool they could make some things. Imagine playing as Mario and being able to switch to Dr.Mario mid match! Or bowser Jr and bowser etc… perhaps someone who mods can or already has done this ?
most people in the competitive scene play characters which can get them wins easier, while the wider rest play characters because they´re either fun or know and likes the series they come from, I play Samus and Ridley because Im a Metroid fan, alongside Byleth and Corrin, because i also like fire emblem.
Because picking a top tier is just instantly seen as being a "meta slave" regardless if you like the character or not tho none of the characters I like are top tiers

Imagine Rex as update fighter by rumors it be nice, but he destroyed Sora about some seconds. Also lots realize more Xenoblade characters are coming as playable and non playable in updates.
Considering that I play both Xenoblade reps main Shulk and secondary Pyra/Mythra. When playing the Aegis it feels like Mythra is Speed Art and Pyra is Smash Art to a degree. Except Mythra has better frame and Pyra who’s frame data is closer to Shulk but has a way better ground game than Shulk. The big issue with them is their recovery and how a little too straight forward they are. Like Shulk you mix playstyles that require different mentality and knowing when to play Mythra or Pyra. It’s like Shulk except with not as much to worry about basically making them an easy version of Shulk. In your video you say Shulk Monado arts puts him at risk which is true, but he can switch arts to lower the risk. Aegis recovery being bad always puts them at risk at dying early just like in your clip where Mythra dies at 29%.Their recovery is why at top level play you are seeing way less of them. Even online where there used to be tons of Aegis are barely seen now because exploiting the recovery has gotten to frustrating to play them. I would go more into detail but this comment will be very long. I’ll just say this both Xenoblade reps are top tier characters but their most common flaw is mostly losing to themselves more than anything.
As much as I like playing Aegis, I'd actually say the characters are a little too sweaty to really be considered easy to use. Sure, they're simple to understand like most sword characters but just like most of those characters, they lack a good recovery. I'd also say they're a little harder to use off stage compared to most of the Fire Emblem characters. Both Pyra and Mythra try to make up for each other's short comings so neither really feels complete on their own which is by design but it'd probably be easier for most people to play Roy to try and get the best of both worlds instead of having to switch. I'll be honest, I tend to have more fun and better results with Mini Swordfighter so when people say Aegis is top tier, I just get confused.
I got into the Aegis out of a slight curiosity then got into xenoblade chronicles 2 then DE and 3, love xeno2 it really hit different, if this was for marketing then...well played Nintendo...
When I saw pyra first, I thought "ok, ok, relatively strong, but still a fair fight." When I saw mythra, I thought "SHE FUCKING TELEPORTING!! WHAT THE HELL??? HOW is she so FAST?!?" I might be a bit too salty
That intro. That intro, with everyone's treatment of Steve and Min Min. That boils my blood. But oh well, it's cool now. Oh, and I would main Bayonetta or Joker due to their gimmicks helping them to stay out of disadvantage and would help me to better inch my way towards victory and would be healthy for me to learn the game by though there's a problem. Their M rated characters, and I will not play M rated characters not even if the entire Smash community payed me a billion dollars to main these two for a year. Well, I mean it isn't because swordies are "safe to design characters that won't throw the entire metagame into dissaray" and much more "hey, we've already got half the models for them down, might as well seeing how their easy" along with "because the people who own these characters have given us the rights to these characters" That is fair, Pyra and Mythra are incredibly simple characters with an extremely simple gameplan, making them the accessible version of "transformation characters".

There's a reason Leo lost with them and isn't playing them anymore. They are certainly a top tier character, but they have a lot more limitations than vars mentioned, and I think the conclusion he comes to about overtuned characters is definitely wrong. Let’s be honest here. Most people put Aegis down when they found out they couldn’t spam B attacks and the dash attack isn’t that effective for Pyra because she’s slow. I rarely come across aegis players and when I do they suck. -Pyra main.

Honestly, I think mythra is fine, but foresight is a mechanic that should be abolished. Pyra could have less range on some of her moves, and that would make pyra way easier to handle, while still making the mythra game plan still powerful.

@@ayar2meanwhile Pokémon Trainer:
I hate how much fun Pyra and Mythra are. They’re easy to pickup and do well with, and they both have moments where it feels just plain fun to play as them. Mythra’s speed makes you feel like no one can run away from you, and it is satisfying to hit people with Pyra due to her kill power.
Well I would agree tho I dropped them for Wolf

I'm also gad their swapping is actually functional. Zelda/Shiek was a kind of a mess. Even PT is still a bit janky.

So honestly the Aegis have legitimately affected my life in several ways and that’s really funny to me considering their game was a thing I wasn’t even aware of before they came out. Now I need to play a Fatal Fury Game….
please tell me youve tried xenoblade 1 it is so incredibly good and then after that play xenoblade 3. btw i main Shulk lol
I’m not mad at any of the dlc. I have me my secondary as plant and besides Steve and min min, I have fun fighting them.
The part with the venn diagram was cool. I like it looked like they met in the middle, great editing

I honestly hate how blatantly overpowered the DLC characters are. It was like this in Smash 4 and its like this in Ultimate. Even if they're balanced enough (usually... looking at you Steve) to be defeated by older characters, you can tell they have an advantage over previous fighters.
They aren't overpowered, they're good but have their weaknesses that are exploitable

Aegis fun to use, my main, go to tournaments with her
The Aegis are extremely good characters that are extremely easy to use.

2:00 man’s said dragon quest isn’t a hot topic… he doesn’t know what goes on outside of America like dang… he did em so dirty
I got into the Aegis out of a slight curiosity then got into xenoblade chronicles 2 then DE and 3, love xeno2 it really hit different, if this was for marketing then...well played Nintendo...
Your Videos are allways a Highlight for me!! =D
I bought them cause it was the closest thing in game to having 2B or A2 in smash
Waifus are rated E for everyone
Words to remember
i play them because i wanted them in the game from the beginning as i played the xenoblade games
I can't deal with them. Rarely win against them
Zero suit Samus still rules over these two in terms of appearance and sexiness
Ofc
Here’s a tough question:
Which channel(or game) do you think Vars does best at?
I
II
Or III?
I main Samus Pyrtha and Steve
When I saw pyra first, I thought "ok, ok, relatively strong, but still a fair fight." When I saw mythra, I thought "SHE FUCKING TELEPORTING!! WHAT THE HELL??? HOW is she so FAST?!?"
I might be a bit too salty
Well, I mean it isn't because swordies are "safe to design characters that won't throw the entire metagame into dissaray" and much more "hey, we've already got half the models for them down, might as well seeing how their easy" along with "because the people who own these characters have given us the rights to these characters"
That is fair, Pyra and Mythra are incredibly simple characters with an extremely simple gameplan, making them the accessible version of "transformation characters".
What’s wrong with M rated characters
@@igotthemunchies7292 Let's just say, they put [ [ Silly Strings ] ] all over my mind and hands every single day as I feel the knife screaming in my ears to cut those strings from my veins.
I think this is the first why everyone plays video that I disagree with most of. There's a reason people dropped aegis at the end of 2021 and it's not just because Steve came out. There's a reason Leo lost with them and isn't playing them anymore. They are certainly a top tier character, but they have a lot more limitations than vars mentioned, and I think the conclusion he comes to about overtuned characters is definitely wrong. All of this is especially weird in the context of just how viable most of the cast in ultimate are.
Steve came out way before Pyra/Mythra
@@EmperorPenguin1217 why does that matter?
@@samk2407 Because that was how your phrasing implied it in your original statement.
I haven't played competitive smash since pre pandemic and this sounds like everything i hated about fighting wolf and joker dialed up to 11
How do you hate fighting Wolf lmao
@@skylandersfan6954 i got tilted at safe on block/hard to whiff punish smash attacks (i played corrin)
If you think a character is super OP and you always hate losing to them, you could always just....play them. This is what made me switch to Aegis.
"NOO!! You were told to defeat them, not join the dark side!!"
If you can’t beat ‘‘em join ‘em
Yeh my mom picked up the character and started winning locals
My only fighter also my main in 12 m gsp
Love how he talks about everything except how this character is as durable as soggy single ply toilet paper
Ehh it's not to bad in terms of weight but their recovery is pretty trash
@@benjaminwalker9369 *Happy Pyra noises*
@@benjaminwalker9369 Low weight characters are oddly super dishonest compared to Mythra and Cloud when it comes to being "glass cannons" because of how absurd their defensive tools are.
Cause winning is fun & they are broken as shit
competitive smash in a nutshell.
A ZeRo quote that really stuck with me is: "In Smash 4, Cloud didn't beat you because he had cheese or gimmicks that he could rely on to close out stocks early. Cloud beat you by being a better character."
Why Everyone Tried Them And Then Realised They Require A Lot More Effort At Top Level, And So Went Back To Their Old Main.
I think we all know at least 50% of Pyra/Mythra players exist because of those big anime milkers...
Hey vars, just wanna say I love ur videos like these but I have a suggestion...
What about a why "almost everyone" and/or "almost no one" plays series? There are some good characters that don't get much representation(take mario he only has 2 notable reps)
Also totally agree with this video. Aegis players are either Xenoblade fans, or they just wanna win💀💀
Let’s be honest here. Most people put Aegis down when they found out they couldn’t spam B attacks and the dash attack isn’t that effective for Pyra because she’s slow.
I rarely come across aegis players and when I do they suck.
-Pyra main.
You ever going to go a video on the Belmonts?
I don't know if he asks why nobody plays low tiers.
Why everyone plays pyra and mythra, for 4 big reasons, 2 on each.
Because Waifu. That's half of the reason I like to play them. The other half is transforming swordie combines what I like from my previous main characters (Lucina and PK) into 1 character. Even if they weren't so hot in the meta, I'd be playing them.
Honestly, I think mythra is fine, but foresight is a mechanic that should be abolished. Pyra could have less range on some of her moves, and that would make pyra way easier to handle, while still making the mythra game plan still powerful.
