I saw this live on Oakland and it was stunning. Absolutely mind blowing original stage performance. He is the only writer and producer of this song and a producer on every song on his albums. A true genius how he creates songs, intense rapper who either shit talks like no one else reading people for filth or social commentary like this. He creates extremely complex story boards he writes for his MVs full of Easter eggs and symbolism. He confronts himself in many videos playing both his inner greedy self who seeks power/wealth and battling himself. We may be a tad bit obsessed with him in the BTS fandom. The whole album DDay is phenomenal, he has two previous mixtapes and obviously almost 20 albums BTS released that the 3 rappers all helped to produce and write most of the songs on every album.
To me this is the story i get from the video.This is the king and Agust D from Daechwita reincarnated to the present. The king is again gained power being a high ranking corrupt police officer (as he is leaving the police station the other cops solute him indicating high rank) But at the end Agust D once again out smarted the cop by laying a trap by getting the king's men to turn on him/by replacing them with his own men. It could also be that he was an undercover/rogue cop because he got a lift in a cop car in the end. So it could be a metaphor for the continued fight against his inner self or maybe social problems.

I was lucky enough to get tickets to see Agust D/Suga/Yoongi live in LA a couple of weeks ago. Incredible live performer & the stage show was stunning, unlike anything I’ve seen before. This song is very over the top for a kpop idol. This kind of bloody violence in a music vid is rare. The notion of being in a gang is very much an outlier. Normally, idols don’t smoke or drink alcohol in public & seldom date in the public eye. So, a lot of lines were crossed in this video. But that was the point: Haegeum is the freedom to do the forbidden (a Haegeum is also a Korean two-stringed musical instrument - one is heard at the beginning of the song).

So true - Korean sounds so cool in rap. Who knew?? I'm one of those who never listened to rap before BTS 😬 but they made me appreciate it. And I also like the way the Korean language sounds in general. Even though it's a small country that was heavily influenced (at times attacked/controlled) by China and Japan throughout history and geographically sandwiched by the two, the Korean language managed to retain such a unique sound. Hundreds of years ago, Korea used the Chinese alphabet as well, but then one of their kings decided to create an all-new, simple alphabet that would enable the majority of citizens to become literate. Korean letters are just simple circles and straight lines in different combinations - anyone can learn the alphabet in an hour. (But the rest of the language is suitably hard, haha).

Haegeum has 2 meanings...1. it is a Korean traditional musical instrument with 2 strings and.... 2. to lift a ban/to free what was restricted. Enjoying watching you guys fall down the BTS rabbithole. If you are interested in a girl group that also write music and are challenging KPop stereotypes like BTS then I would highly recommend Mamamoo. This is the last MV of the trilogy, there is a storyline here - seeing this I finally got what happened in the first one Agust D's song "Agust D" [said like the month], realizing which is the big baddie behind that first one..) Second one is "Daechwita" [desh-ita], and "Haegeum" [he-gum] is the last of the trilogy but the song "The Last" MV is continuation for the Agust D-song. But apparently the SONG is not part of the trilogy.. This is confusing for us too. We just learned that these three songs and three movies ('MVs' somebody might try to insult them) are a trilogy, and now we are trying desperately understand.. Timeline.. Relations.. Time.. - Is relative.. But is it.. If they are related (times).. Are they related (characters).. - ..travelling. You just missed his tour in US. It is coming to theaters now to enjoy it as a concert.. (It will spoil more than his all solo songs tho..) Check that out. (First his Japanese concert, and then later, his last concert, from Seoul (he's going to cry his eyes out) and we all with him. And I'm being literal. Suga spelled backwards plus D T is Daegu Town his home city where he comes from in South Korea! He is a composer ,producer and writer of his own solo work ! BTS‘s work and other artist collaboration which he has composed music and lyrics!
Agust D aka Suga of BTS is currently on a world tour by himself his new album that dropped month and a half ago “ D-DAY” sold 1 million copies in 24 hours no other hip-hop or rap artist has ever done that and that includes Drake! This is part of a trilogy you have to react to Daechwita, Haegeum & Amygdala which will tell you the story line of Agust D. You didn’t recognize him at all that is so funny and kind of sad since you’ve done quite a bit of reactions to BTS🤷🏻♀️
Hopefully you guys will go back to read the lyrics because they are very profound Agust D is talking about the downfalls of UA-cam social media and situation of how it affects our every day life!
You probably will not get the meaning behind unless you see all three music videos together and read the lyrics you will be astounded of the lyrics ,that he can flow and rap and even sing in two languages and how they complement each other for each individual music video! Please do yourself a favor and react to the other two MVs as well and please concentrate on the lyrics they’re not frivolous, they are of importance to get a complete understanding and picture of what he is saying in this music video, combine with the other two MVs! Haegeum has 2 meanings...1. it is a Korean traditional musical instrument with 2 strings and.... 2. to lift a ban/to free what was restricted.

This is the last MV of the trilogy, there is a storyline here - seeing this I finally got what happened in the first one Agust D's song "Agust D" [said like the month], realizing which is the big baddie behind that first one..) Second one is "Daechwita" [desh-ita], and "Haegeum" [he-gum] is the last of the trilogy but the song "The Last" MV is continuation for the Agust D-song. But apparently the SONG is not part of the trilogy.. This is confusing for us too. We just learned that these three songs and three movies ('MVs' somebody might try to insult them) are a trilogy, and now we are trying desperately understand.. Timeline.. Relations.. Time.. - Is relative.. But is it.. If they are related (times).. Are they related (characters).. - ..travelling.
You just missed his tour in US. It is coming to theaters now to enjoy it as a concert.. (It will spoil more than his all solo songs tho..) Check that out. (First his Japanese concert, and then later, his last concert, from Seoul (he's going to cry his eyes out) and we all with him. And I'm being literal. He has ben talking about shelving this artist name. This might be Agust D's first and last tour.
Also Disney+ kas his documentary (21+!!!) about how he put this - this third and last part of the trilogy out and how he put up the tour and all.. (Again this will spoil as a clips lot of songs for you if you watch it) :)
Also J-hope In The Box documentary about his solo album (song spoilers!) and about him being one of the headliners in Lollapalooza music festival. He casually made a new spectator record - But it is J-hope he can do anythnig with a smile on his fave, if he chooses to.. (I'm not sure if Hobipalooza is there - I mean Hobi's headlining performance from Lolla)
