LMAO, I just realized Blake's and Qrow's connection. He is what you might call a bad luck charm...
...Blake is a black cat. LOL.
They even make this connection in "Bad Luck Charm". Qrow says hes a cursed black cat.
Actually i think its truly about how the both of them had a really difficult time with going about life in comparison to the other characters and of how they're now trying to move out of that.......
YES!!! SOMEBODY AGREES!!!
...
How did I not notice that.
"looks like this change is here to stay" oh qrow
It better be or I will sue Rooster Teeth for emotional damage.
Improvement doesn't always come in a constant upwards slope. Progress might reverse for a bit but that doesn't mean it can't move forwards again. It would be a better story if Qrow fell backwards before going forwards permanently
@@Levi-ng7wy Plus, it's more realistic. People don't always improve in one direction constantly. They have backslides.
Let this man be happy pls
A perfect song for characters that try to change for the better
This Song Sounds like the Opening Theme for a 90s Sitcom (but in a Good Way)
Not wrong
All I picture is Disney's camp rock movie when I hear that opening
Rwby but it's a modern sitcom
@@lowkey_apathy Dust and the City?
@@jonjohns8145 as the name?
0:51 Wait, those are actual lyrics? I thought they were just going "bap bap ba do bap" or whatever
2:16 Yeah, like that
I remember while watching the episode, i put money the song would be called Buttercup.
@@raulvalencia8573 i thought it was going to be "here to stay"
The 👏 character 👏 development 👏
Big character development
It's totally the haircut 😊
This is a duet I didn't know I needed
Another thing that makes me think this song is about Blake is when she says
“I don’t need perfection”
It sounded like she said “purrfection”
I thought Jeff was making a pun
God damnit Jeff
Hilarious to imagine Blake singing this hopping through a flowery field all happy, with birds and butterflies around her
That... image is in my mind now. I pictured her dancing to it with Yang at the dance club or something
And she's chasing Qrow, who's currently a crow.
And bumblebees?
I pictured them doing so sort of karaoke things with everyone else cheering them on
Holy shit, I just realized that bumblby and fair game are literally the birds and the bees
Its weird hearing this without Clover talking lol.
youre gonna have to get used to not hearing Clover talking anymore, friend
@@ArgeeDebbid well damn lol
Just like Miracle and the train
I kinda doubt the Casey side is solely about Blake, I mean they even reprise the “this life is mine” line, more RWBY as a whole moving forward, I mean Blake is a big part of it for sure but still
I never thought I needed this song in my life. I just wrote it off initially as a basic happy-go-lucky song, but especially with these times, it’s the perfect song to start the day with
3:24 this part of the song is just so wonderful. It’s just so empowering and beautiful.
Volume 8/9 comes around and we find out this is a Branwen Twins song and Casey's part is about Raven instead.
stranger things have happened...
Such as Sacrifice.
Raven getting a new haicut?
Hell yeah.
Anyone else hear this song and immediately think "oh no...that's not going to last"? haha The happy songs in this album/season were the musical equivalent of saying "what's the worst that could happen".
Every Qrow Fan: *screams of happiness*
It ain't the same without his OG voice actor though
OMG a song with both my favorite characters?!
I think I'm dreaming
“Well I finally saw what I became, beaten at my own damn game in drunk loser hall of fame.” IM SORRY BUT THAT FIT QROW SO WELL THAT I CHUCKLED
I think this is an everybody song because a specific lyrics seems to fit a specific character
I've been feeling sad luck's been bad
Living in a painful way: I think It's Blake or Ruby
Gonna claim this life as mine, and i'm just moving forward, I don't need perfection: Weiss
It all starts with a new haircut: Blake
Kicking ass in everyway: definitely Yang
I've been weak and lame, fille with shame trapped inside the place I made, a house of pain but i finally saw what I became beaten at my own damn game, at drunk loser hall of fame : Qrow
I know I failed so many times, Drowned my troubles hid my mind, buried everything a hundred proof, a skillful coward hides the truth so well: Ozpin (he hides the fact that salem can't be killed, hid at Oscars mind)
Defeat the enemy within: Ruby
And so much more
if it were an everybody song it would be obvious but it's not
You did good on the lyrics and it's great having these videos so fast. With that being said I think Ruby instead of Blake would be much more fitting. Yes, Blake has also been through a rough time and got a haircut but so did Ruby. Jeff's part is very obviously Qrow, and at the end Casey sings with him, with the lyrics almost directed at him. Ruby singing at/with Qrow just makes more sense to me, considering Blake and Qrow have hardly talked while Ruby and Qrow have a connection. These are just my thoughts though, and once again thank you for being so fast on these uploads, the songs are amazing!
I disagree. I feel like this is just a Qrow song. The only thing that gives me pause is the haircut line but other than that, it sounds like just Qrow
IMHO even Jaune would fit for Casey's part (haircut, overcoming this lingering self-destructive issues from V4-6, etc.). In the end I still think Blake's probably the intended voice, even though it's kinda hilarious that Blake and Qrow practically never spoke but share a song.
@@floph7937 See that's the thing. That makes no sense for it to be Blake and Qrow. Jaunr makes more sense. Or even RWBY
@@arjaxx2001 I could see that too. But usually when there's multiple singers that means multiple characters, which is why I included Ruby. Could just be a Qrow song though, like you said!
Blakes a black cat, it could be some joke like that cuz they have bad luck.
I don't know if this is the right term for this since there's instruments too, but the acapella style background vocals make me happy.
Man am I worried for Qrow in the future, falling back down after seeing how good things is rough. No alcohol in Atlas prison though (I assume) so there's that at least, maybe, hopefully.
fun fact: Jeff does all the background vocals.. no matter how high and loud.
That's shocking. He can raise it high really well.
And I feel like they'll somehow get him, but yeah, happiness doesn't last long in RWBY (just look at the plummet from s2 to s3), so I do feel like he's going to get into that self-hatred cycle again.
They seem to like to show that you can move on, no matter how rough things are, though. Jaune was mourning, but he was able to drag himself back up.
I feel like they want struggling alcoholics/depressed people to also see that you can get through it.
I think the first part of the song is certainly from Blake, for a single detail, in "All That Matters" a song by Yang, she says "While you take everything in strides" and here Blake says "Taking everything in stride". I mean, in the Qrow part it says the same thing, but it is at least strangely familiar
Yeah the 100 proof lyric cemented it for me about Qrow
Sirs & Madams Entertainment and “drunk loser hall of fame” lol
Thanks for this.
The first part could apply to several parts of the girls' stories ... but it seemed more Blake-like to me since she had the biggest life upheaval at the end of V6.... and the Qrow part was kind of obvious.
@@SirsMadamsEntertainment I agree. :)
Qrow isn't.. bi?
@@plutonash2545 It's just my headcanon.
Plutonash254 but we don’t if he’s also straight
I love this soundtrack just in Nick of time this year's getting better slowly but surely
Qrow you better not backslide on that character development.
Kinda wished how Qrow's OG voice actor portray his V7-8 self
“Think this Change is here to stay.”
... Qrow’s gonna relapse in Vol 8.... T~T
2:24 literally why is “BAP!!” So funny to me
Who knew character development can be explained in 4 minutes
Genuinely this song is so good in my opinion, the message really speaks to me and it’s such a catchy tune. Never fails to put a smile on my face
“A skillful coward hides the truth so well” hits home
This song is such a bop
Is that an Arby’s logo?
This is such a bop
Someone please make a music video of this, but with all the horrible things happing in the second half of the volume....
...poor Qrow...
That’s sadistic and horrible. I like it.
@@trucetruce335 like "feeling like a brand new day" - shows Qrow crying over Clover's dead body in the beautiful sunrise
...I started cooking my breakfast when I herd this song for the first time...
I love listening to this song when I'm having a bad day, or when it starts to be a bad day. Everything always gets better! 🥰
This is a ruby and Qrow song and references volume 2 chapter 1 best day ever
There'salsoa bit of Weiss with "claiming this life as mine" (This life is mine) and "don't need perfection" (I'm not 'perfect'. Not yet).
Though I guess it's more Blake than either (they wouldn't describe themselves as a wreck).
Best song to listen in the morning...
If you told me we'd get a Blake/Qrow song i'd of been very doubtful. But they really do work well together as a song because of their similiar character developments in learning to trust and move on from their past.
I guess I’m starting 2021 with this song.
Then vol 8 comes around and says "na screw that happy stuff. Time for sad."
I think this is Weiss and Blake, just cause of lines like “claim this life as mine” and “maybe this self destruction could be re-arranged”
also, the "i dont need perfection" line sounds like weiss to me, with how in the earlier seasons she was obsessed with perfection ("im not perfect! ...not yet." etc etc.) i think that it might just be a mish-mash of team rwby
itsrainingcats that’s smart! I missed that
As a Monochrome fan (obviously from my username) I’m excited to Just have something xD
This is the first time qrow openly admits that he's scared
“And I’m just moving forward”
God damn that hit hard I wasn’t expecting it
A perfect song for starting over and moving foward.
"Think this change is here to stay" the events of V9 and the Epilogue Animatic indicates that yes the change is actually here to stay and this is the attitude v10 Qrow and Blake would have.
Hands down my favorite song in this entire franchise
This sound is so up-beat! I love it!
I wanna Montage to this
This song makes me feel happy in so many ways!
Blake and Qrow duet? HELL YEAH!
I love how when qrow's part starts up, the guitar is more present. (1:42)
(also, solo starts at 2:53 which sounds really good)
I finally pinned down what this song reminds me of (musically at least) - You Make My Dreams (Come True) by Darryl Hall & John Oates!
This is just setting up the Dr. Horrible arc.
This was weird without hearing Clover. Just like listening to Miracle without Ruby yelling GO
I'm in love with song dude, like what
A duet I never saw coming
I do like Blake as a character, the Haircut Lyric is hilarious, but I dont like her haircut though. Haha
The official emo anthem in this show
Hooray! The standalone!
holy shit 1:30 is some Allman Brothers
Holy shit this song makes me want to get up and fucking kick 2020's ass!
The Blake part feels weird when the picture shows a blank expression
A blake and qrow song, what an odd combo
I have only one thing to say:
Bap!
I’m-😃
I'm going to start with a new haircut lol

I love the song, but the combination is weird because these characters have little to no interaction in the show... the only interaction I can remember is when Blake threatened him when Ruby had the lamp, but the rest of them was doing it too...
That’s because it’s not about their relationship, it’s about their individual characters. It’s about two characters who’ve been in hell both finally catching a break.
